There are some truly tragic and heartbreaking villain origins out there. The two on this list that got me the most was definitely Mr. Freeze and Magneto. Freeze's is probably the most relatable of the two, simply because of the reason why he resorted to crime. We may not be willing to go so far, but when someone you love is dying, you definitely feel like you would do anything to save them. Then with Magneto, he definitely witnessed the worst that mankind has to offer with the holocaust alone. In a perfect world, his life would have returned to a semblance of peace after getting out of the concentration camp. Cruelty is far from a nazi exclusive, unfortunately. I could imagine either origin destroying any one of us.
I always hated how they added that backstory to Mr Freeze. It was too much; having him want revenge for his wife and his condition was enough, the rest absolutely wasn't needed.
Great list however I would like to point out a few things, first Galactus should not be on this list he’s neither good nor evil he’s a force of nature. Secondly Dr. Doom should be second because of what happened to him during his early years ( look up the Books of Doom on RUclips to see why ). Magneto is a great pick at #1 however he’s more of an antihero at times.
No. 2, well Warner Bros should handled that origin differently in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" by making him a combination of Zod and Lex Luthor's DNA
I'd have put Dooms story second behind Magnetos. The King of Latveria at the time oppressed Dooms people(he's Romani himself), and tried to kill his mother. Add in the fact that the price for saving his mother from Mephisto is that she'd hate him forever. He paid that price, treasuring her life so dearly that he accepted the cost of it. Also Reed isnt innocent of Dooms actions. He on multiple occasions stole work from Victor and said it was his own when they were schoolmates.

Respectfully I think that since Batman already fights so many psychopathic villains, having Mr Freeze be more three-dimensional and sympathetic surrounding him solely trying to save his wife from an inevitable illness adds much more variety and complexion to his character. But that is just me and my personal preference
Lathe idea villains want something but don’t want to work for it is very wrong. I assure you it takes a lot of work a massive amount of work to come up with a name, a suit, a persona and weapons that can stand against the many super hero’s of the world
