Does the vr mod only work with vorpx?

VorpX is what allows me to play in VR, i also have mods installed but none of them have anything to do with allowing me to play in VR.
If you already own VorpX then it is worth trying but if you do not then i would not recommend purchasing it if your intention is to play RDR2 in VR as it may not work for you, it seems to work for some but not others.
There is this mod on Nexus - www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2/mods/3446?tab=description but it did not work for me when i tried it, don't think it works on copies of RDR2 using the Rockstar launcher which is what i have & i don't think it works with other mods either.
