Day 5! Spring 2024 Vegas Vlog | Tableau Brunch | Slot Wins at Wynn | Fun & Food at Durango Casino

Day 5 was our last full day in Las Vegas, and we made the most of it! Mr. Ellabellita slept in while I enjoyed a fabulous morning at the Spa at Encore. I had a Vitamin C facial and loved the results! My esthetician was fantastic, and even gave me a gift of fancy chocolates in honor of my birthday (which I apparently celebrated every day of this trip-I highly recommend it!). No pictures or video allowed inside the spa for obvious reasons, but the waiting area of the spa was gorgeous!
This spa is quite small and there’s not much to it, so while I enjoyed my treatment there very much, I have to say that there wasn’t too much else to take advantage of there. The decor was lovely, and I did really like the eucalyptus steam room. Bonus: the waiting area for treatments had great coffee and snacks.
Then it was back to the room at the Wynn to rouse Mr. Ellabellita for brunch at Tableau! We highly recommend this restaurant for brunch. It’s in the spectacular Tower Suites area of the Wynn, and we sat outdoors above the pool area while we dined to enjoy the lovely day. Our lattes and very fancy steak and eggs were fantastic! Next time we’ll be sure to try some brunch cocktails.
We explored the Tower Suites common areas afterwards and vowed to one day stay in one of the villas. Wouldn’t that be amazing? Then it was off to play some slots like Huff n’ Even More Puff at the Wynn with pretty good results.
Afterwards, we took an Uber over to Durango, which we’d heard so much about and had to check it out for ourselves. What a gorgeous property! We enjoyed exploring the different areas and getting the lay of the land before settling in to play some slots. We eventually got hungry and had a hard time deciding where to eat because there were so many options, but because it was Monday and there wasn’t a line, we decided upon the Oyster Bar. Every other time we’d been to a Station Casino there was a huge line for this restaurant, which is counter seating only and doesn’t take reservations, so we had to seize the opportunity. I’m so glad we did, because we finally got to have the pan roast and it was scrumptious! The dishes are made right in front of diners, and our chef, Brian, was just wonderful.
After dinner we returned to the gaming floor, where I was absolutely delighted to find my very favorite Ultimate X Bonus Streak video poker game at 1, 2, 5, 10, and 25 cent denominations, all on one machine! I put in $20 and was able to play 1 and 2 cent denominations for such a long time, and I got some great hits! It was the end of our trip and the gambling budget was pretty much depleted after hitting it hard for so many days, so what a delight it was for me to enjoy a couple of vodka sodas while playing low limit video poker! Just what I needed.
We headed back to the Wynn afterwards with our absolutely hilarious Bulgarian driver, who made the longish trip back to the Strip so enjoyable. We strolled through the Spring lobby display and were delighted by all of the adorable bunny sculptures hidden throughout. Then we played a few more games and it was off to bed in our wonderfully comfortable and quiet room at the Wynn for our last night in Vegas.
Stay tuned for Day 6, since we just can’t quit Vegas! Driving from LA gives us extra flexibility to leave whenever we want, which always results in a pretty full last day in Vegas. We enjoyed revisiting Fontainebleau, winning on slots, gorging on a huge lunch on the house, and wrapping up with some excellent slot wins at the Cosmo before heading home!

What an awesome day in Vegas! 🙌 Durango is so nice, I really need to visit soon. I like how they made this off strip casino a luxury destination but they still have 1 cent video poker and a food court (ahem, hall!) 😁 Something for everyone!

Thanks a million for watching! We really enjoyed visiting Durango, and even though it is a trek from the Strip, we think it’s worth it. We’ll definitely be back to try some of the other restaurants, and speaking for myself, to play more low stakes video poker 😅

Good morning Ellabelitta🌞what a great video and who would’ve thought that Vegas would go from 99cent shrimp cocktails to five star restaurants😉I remember when the Mandaly Bay was built and the plan was to build casinos all the way down the strip to where the M resort is located. We’re hoping to go in July for my wife’s birthday, we have 3 July birthdays and one of our sons has a softball tournament in July in Vegas also, but I’m not a fan of the heat or non stop air conditioning either. Durango looked very nice and there’s more than the strip and the Wynn is amazing🤗
