    Hi, I had the exact same issue in my 2014 RS6 C7, I’ve done everything you’ve detailed in the video. I’m sure the timing is correct now. I’ve put engine back in car but still getting correlation fault and misfires. Could it be the camshaft timing adjustment valve?
    Thank you in advance! Had engine out twice now. Really need your expert advice!

    Question regarding the removal of the passenger valve/Cam cover. Do you have to remove the timing chain cover to get the valve cover off? I have everything unbolted the front of the valve cover is up but in the back is stuck to the timing cover. I’m sure all the bolts are removed. Could it be the silicone that’s holding it on? This is my 1st Audi and after watching your video I felt like your a Pro. Not a lot of info online regarding the removal process of the cover for the 4.0

    Would of been nice if you showed us how to properly tighten the adjusters with the 2 tools. That's where I'm stuck on my a6 4.2 timing is setup the same way as this. Got the cam locks on but when I go to tighten w the 2 tools everything rotates and throws off my timing 😢

    • @Svarogperformance
      @Svarogperformance  Год назад

      This part is simple! I can’t hold the phone and tight at the same time. If your tools are the same as mine should be no movement when you tighten the bolts, just make sure you lock the cams with the tool and your crankshaft set at the timing mark! Also timing could be off if your chains is old and too loose it might be required new one if your engine is high mileage. I hope you will figure out good luck

    Did this also show up as bad or lower than normal compression or the compression values were okay, but it just misfired at idle?

    • @Svarogperformance
      @Svarogperformance  2 года назад

      Compression was fine I checked before fixing the timing! It was 170-180 psi

    • @fastboatster
      @fastboatster 2 года назад

      @@Svarogperformance I see, looks like the issue like this (timing jumped by just one tooth) doesn’t reveal itself when the compression is checked. Thanks for the answer!

    You overtightened the cam variator bolts and nothing stripped correct?

    • @Svarogperformance
      @Svarogperformance  2 года назад +1

      Hi, yes I did over tight, and nothing stripped! If you are not comfortable doing that just follow the specs, please.

      As soon as you see timing correction over 3*+means your chain is stretched or the timing adjuster is spun from the cam!

    • @Svarogperformance
      @Svarogperformance  2 года назад +1

      Could be, I didn't see a point to tourqe 40-60-80 this is not head bolts that required steps just doing right the way 80nm would not affect anything. I did 90Nm and 90* turn car runs strong for over 6 months with no issue
