Lol I'm a nerd. I always read instructions. Even if I have never had the new tool or have used someone else's. When I get it a new anything in the box, I always read the instructions lol.
I bought this exact sprayer last year and I'm getting ready to paint a metal cabinet. I read the directions twice, but I'm a visual learner and your video was spot on! Thank you for a great tutorial.
I really appreciate this video but if I would of seen this video a week ago I would've purchased a Wagner, too many steps for me but since I have it now I'm going to watch it a couple more times before I try...thanks for making it easy to understand...I will be checking out some more of your videos
Mine is a couple years old, lightly used and the high-low setting switch will not stay on high. Very frustrating as I took care to clean thoroughly and store with the storage fluid and replaced the cups, etc. This is not old enough or used enough to be having issues. Paint is now leaking from the paint cup and i'm about to throw it in the trash. Waste of $300.
I used this paint sprayer. The finish is rough no matter what. I thinned it and used paint extender. So I only use it for the exterior and wall. I have switched to HVLP for the cabinet and furniture.
Really good how-to video. I did find the Graco video and they had a good tip that if you need to return to a project within 24 hours/1-day, you can turn the tip 90 degrees and leave the paint liner. Here's the link and it is around 12:45 or 12:50 in the video. But this got me started on my project before I found the Graco video. Great job. I got the dual speed & wish I had the variable speed option.
This tutorial is sooooo detailed and helpful. Thanks so much. I just used this sprayer for the first time yesterday and when I have it at a low speed like 4 or 5 it turns off after about 5 seconds. Maybe less. I called them to help but they said it’s supposed to stop. I don’t think they understood. It stops as if I’m shutting it off. If I have it at a high speed it won’t stop but I’m using this for furniture and don’t need it at a 10 speed. Maybe you could help me. Im not sure if I have a defected one.
Thank you so much, I'm glad this was helpful! Sorry to hear you're having trouble with yours. I haven't had that exact issue. I did have it stop spraying on me once but it was a clogged spray tip. After reversing the tip and clearing it out it worked just fine again. I looked to see if I could find a reason for you and I did run across something saying it may need to be re-primed. When that happens can you still hear it running like it's trying to spray or it just stops completely? I do know that these will shut off on their own when they get hot but that should take a while, I've not had that happen yet either. If it's not just cooling down, it's not clogged and it's still primed I don't know what else it could be. It could be defective. I'm sorry I don't have a straight forward answer for you but I hope that helps.
Yeah it’s shutting off completely as if I’m turning it off. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out. I’ve been emailing w someone at graco who is going to have me try and remove the tip entirely and see if it’s still turning off. If it is he said he may be an electrical issue. Thanks again 😊 looking forward to seeing your content!
I haven't used mine indoors yet, so far I've only used it outside while painting furniture I've built. I will be using it to paint an entire home interior very soon so I'll have to figure that out, when I do I'll let you know!
I found it to be a little easier to put the cover over the cup support first, and then attach it to the sprayer. That way I’m not trying to screw on the cup support with one hand. I really liked the rest of your review. It was really easy to understand.
Thank you so much! I watched 4 videos that didn't answer my question then found yours, which answered it and helped to prevent me ruining my spay gun. Thanks!
"Tilt it so it's facing the highest point" (??)what is facing the highest point? which highest point? in reference to what? we are not mind readers you have to do a better job at explaining yourself, give "points of reference". What you say could mean anything. Sorry but thumbs down for me.
Great video thanks. Besides how to use the sprayer I also learned to mask the paint area a lot more as I saw you got overspray on the wall beyond your masked area.
I had this paint sprayer but I had to throw it in the garbage because it kept clogging up while I was using it. It's garbage or maybe I just had a bad one.
Thank you! So far I've only used it on smaller jobs, I haven't had any larger projects to paint that I could use it on yet. When I do though I will share it here.
I bought this few days ago, but the pain leaks out of the cup linear and it gets air in so I have to squeez the linear my self. (I have rotated it exactly as you did to end) any idea on how to fix it?
I'm sorry, I don't know what would cause that. My best guess would be a seal leak causing air to get into the cup. I know the air release valve and rubber gasket can wear out over time and need to be replaced but it shouldn't be after just a few days. Maybe contact their customer support line and if they can't help you, you might be able to exchange it since it's only been a few days. It might be a defective product. I hope you're able to get it figured out.
I've discovered that I have to thin out certain paints to get a nice clean spray. You can spray thick paints with this thing but sometimes it doesn't turn out as well. If you're using a thick paint like a one coat paint, cabinet paint or a primer then you might need to thin it out just a tiny bit. Maybe try that as well as adjusting your speed while spraying a scrap piece of wood until you get it where you want it. I still use a scrap piece to get everything right before I start a project.
Great video. Am wondering if you can use extension rods to reach further areas. I have a high cathedral ceiling I need to paint & am not sure how to reach it
Thank you! So not with this type of paint sprayer, you'd either need scaffolding or a ladder to use this one. There are other paint sprayers that have extensions, if you Google "extension paint sprayer" you'll find some options.
nice vid. Do you have any idea that for the TC 360 single speed, we have the option to change tpr set the pressure on it? it says 500 to 2000 psi but I wanted to this before ordering it.
You need to use more plastic sheeting to protect your home from over spray. That paint is getting all over your house in the background especially with the wind. Otherwise, good video and very helpful.
This is an awesome video for anyone who already kinda knows what they're doing, but I am a complete novice, and I don't know what she means by "within range," or "reservoir." I'll keep looking, but this gives me a little start.
Yes, you can. In between uses you just turn the sprayer sideways to block off the nozzle. After reading that you could leave the paint like that overnight to finish a project the next day I tried it out and it worked. I had to turn the nozzle backwards and spray for a second to unclog it first but after that it was good to go, the paint stayed fresh.

Only con to it is it gets hot so hot that the thermal overload trips out. They should have added more ventilation to the motor and I think its needs an electric fan internally to help dissipate the hear.

Does it really change the speed of the motor rotation or is it just a pressure setting adjustment?

Why did you start with water?
So they run something called pump armor through these before they package them.
