I love your channel so much. You’re living a dream that my late wife and I dreamed of. We bought 20 acres in northern Arizona in 2013 dreaming of living away from it all, but then our oldest son died suddenly and my beloved wife of 35 yrs went into a place that led to her death less than 10 months later. Our dream is over but watching your family has been so inspiring, your hard work has reaped so much for your family. The way you work together as a family is truly amazing. Godspeed

I agree WWOG and Alaska Simple Living are both great channels. The personality of the couples, the work they do and the fun they have while doing it. Some of my other favs are Chateau de Montmagner, Talasbuan or Green Dream Project. Very different settings, great couples. I am sooo looking forward to what all those channels will achieve 2021 (including GSL of course)

I 've been watching your videos for a couple weeks and so admire your undertaking and newly found skills.
As a person who has learned most of my life lessons the expensive way , I'd like to offer a little tip for if and when you start your fencing for any livestock. Any fence that is meant to keep livestock in a space, the fence goes on the inside of the posts. It keeps the nails, whether holding board or wire fencing, from popping out when livestock use the fence to get that itch that needs scratching.

Better to give age appropriate answers than not tell them. I always answered my daughter's questions in the simplest form, just answering what she asked. Sometimes that was enough and sometimes she asked more questions.

Heres a tip for hammering in those redhead bolts, place the nut on the top on bolt with 1-2 turns and then hammer it in the concrete. This ensures that you don't booger up the threads and also gives larger area to hammer on! Really love your videos, we will be getting our new home finished up in Rathdrum area in Aug sometime
