Yea, I think I'm deal with the same, making bees and not honey. I think they used the spring flow to draw out comb for my new splits instead of making honey. Maybe I'll be more ready next year. LOL 🐝🐝🐝
Ya that is what I mean when I mention it's hard to grow bees and make honey. Our only real issue is the shorter seasons. I'm sure we will still get some but I am looking at it differently. God is setting us up with good boxes of bees this year so that He may Bless us with His Bountiful Harvest next Year. Kinda in the same boat, my bees arent making much honey this year yet either , however i am growing bees too, 5 from 2 so im hoping for good things next year as long as I can get them all through the winter, too early to say yet.

Iv had couple of hives that have had to be combined because of failed queen's or poor Mating
