@speede541 where did you take this video from? i wanted to see them land this year in Oakland, trying to figure out a location. Were you at the staging area south of Oakland International?
This year they are flying in to OAK from the Sacramento area after the California Capitol Airshow, so I'd expect them to arrive sometime close to 6pm Sunday. Harbor Bay Parkway is always a popular viewing spot and APD doesn't seem to hassle people who park on the golf course side of the street. But if you want a guaranteed overflight, you've got to be on the opposite end. There's a bike path that runs alongside the BART extension tracks, but you'll have to find parking on the streets and walk in a short distance.
Oh perfect, thanks for the tip! I live in Alameda, So think I can bike over with my twins in their carriage. Thanks again! I think they’re gonna like seeing the plans up close!
@@ashoke1 In that case, the Ron Cowan Parkway bike path transitions to the outbound Airport Drive bike path underneath the BART tracks, and you'd want to be line with Runway 28L (the longer of the two parallel runways). Some people watch from the grass along the fence, but there's no sidewalk or path. Also, there's no assurance they won't land on Rwy 30, the main air carrier runway, on the other side of the airport. But they've used 28L for the past four or five years, so it's a safe bet.
@@ashoke1 Also, there's usually a crowd gathered at the Hangar 6 fence, where they park. This is the closest you'll get, and can watch them taxi in, but then you'll miss the fly-over. Maybe save that for another day (they normally have flown Thurs Fri Sat Sun).
Always enjoy watching these guys
What a cool and different perspective of them landing. Thanks for posting.
Great video, thanks for uploading
At 0:10, don't just just like the way the green and red lights shine on the tips of their wings @speede541 ?
Aw man you're killing me. I was really struggling with getting an acceptable focus. Still, yeah, even fuzzy they're something to see low and slow!
We need the voice of bosley from the original Charlies Angel's too say welcome home Angel's !!! 👍😊✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈
I'm sure they came from somewhere very very early in the morning
Did they land at OAK after the show on Sunday? If not, do you happen to know where they landed?
Yes, landed back here, departed Monday morning around 10:30.
