Great video and camera work! The first flight for the CT-114 Canadian Built jet was in 1960! Making this 57 year old bird fly amazing! (2018 Comment) This is so satisfying to watch when compared to other flying teams with newer aircraft. No doubt in real combat these would get blown out of the sky by a SU-37, F22 or Euro Fighter with modern missiles aimed at them 100 KM down range!! Old school flying as one person comment below!
When I hear American's amazed by the Snowbirds, fills my heart with Pride! the meaning of precision, measured in feet vs meter's...I love the Blue Angles, More specifically because being my favorite fighter......Other than the Red Arrows, name another Jet Team in a tighter formation? These men and women, travel in tight formation, but that's with all 11
Hi James and thanks for watching! Each team demonstrates various levels of precision flying bound by their numbers and aircraft flight envelopes. Definitely check out some of the other European teams which operate >9 training jets... Patrouille De France & Frecce Tricolori
they do a better performance for our neighbours than us. lol. I live literally a few miles from their home base and we never get treated like this. mind you, they fly 55 yr old aircraft. scary watching them go down.
you ever watch the shows they put on at CNE, its different..When I lived in Barrie, it was exciting to hear them just coming..spectacular..And its been many years of ooohh!!! and aww!! About the only thing left to makes us proud Canadians sadly enough..
The Kamloops tragedy was a bird strike. Hard to deal with in any single engined jet. The result would have been similar if it were an F-16 as the Thunderbirds fly. It was just a stroke of bad luck and the aircraft's age has nothing to do with it. B-52 bombers are over 60 years old and are expected to be in service another 30 to 40 years before they retire. It's about how well they are maintained and no amount of work or maintenance done to the aircraft could have prevented a bird being ingested by a single engined aircraft. There is nothing wrong with the CT-114 Tutor. It's a great aircraft. People who no nothing or little about aviation often go to the "it's old" argument. Well by those standards, there should be no Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mustangs, Corsairs, Lancasters, B-17s, B-24 Liberators, P-40 Warhawks, or any other old aircraft flying either. BTW, all those listed are 70 plus years old. Not 40 or 50 as is the case with the CT-114.
I was very scared this air plane show because I hate when I look up sky very gigantic that plane speed. I didn't know this 2017 plane show in San Francisco Bay Area cool.
When the Snowbirds are in town, they are also traveling with the Blue Angles, Minus different shows around the country... There is a lot of Canadian military aircraft in your air space right now...as the same for your force...
This is some real old school, stick & rudder type precision formation flying. Hats off to the Canadians; skillful and very impressive.
Beautifully choreographed colorful stick and rudder flying, kudos to the pilots, Love the Canadians
That’s some precision flying! Nice job Snowbirds!
Snowbirds always put on a great show
The Canadians are amazing formation flying, Great to watch,
they fly some beautiful tight formations at a slower speed, great job guys, and nice footage
Fantastic footage and editing. Well done!

They always do a different show for our allies!! How far from Cold Lake are you?
Great aviation there,... and in view of the Kamloops tragedy,...
Time to scrap these Birds,... Our Troops deserve far better,...

Arrow we weren't too bad with guns either. I live 16 miles from where Billy Bishop was born.

Which airport did these guys took off from, Oakland or San Francisco International? I've been trying to figure that out.
Hi Charlie, I believe they were based out of Oakland along with the Blue Angels. The United 747 took off from SFO.
Oh. Now I get it. I was a little confused at first.
Correct!
