The Untold Story Of My Son's Autism

  • It seems like only yesterday that my son was born. I remember the moment clearly, holding him in my arms and feeling an overwhelming sense of love and protectiveness. Little did I know then that my son would face some unique challenges in life. When he was three, we discovered that Yahshua had autism. We specifically noticed changes in his behavior after our first visit to Ghana. We believe this was due to an environmental shift that his little body couldn't handle. During this time, Yahshua became ill and lost weight rapidly. From that point on, he was a different child.
Finding out our son had autism and seeing him progressively worsen over the years was a tough pill to swallow. But, we knew we had to do whatever we could to help him through this challenging chapter in his life.
While his autism will always be a part of who Yahshua is, it does not define him. We will continue to try to find a way to heal/help our son in any way we can, and I am hopeful we will have a breakthrough someday.

Thank you for sharing your story. I too have a son with autism who's now 15 yrs. old. Our stories are very similar. We didn't have a home birth but did have a natural birth with a midwife. We didn't vaccinate and we homeschool. We noticed behaviors early on that we just thought were "quirks" and didn't get his diagnosis until he was around 7 yrs. old. It's been a journey. He has his challenges socially, academically, emotionally but also has areas where he soars. He taught himself to play the drums starting around age 2 and has since taught himself to play the piano & organ. Despite all the challenges we face I truly believe he is a gift from God. He's shaped us as parents in so many ways. I wouldn't be the parent and woman that I am today without him. It's been the same for our entire family. My kids will much more compassionate because of him. We've done therapies which has helped in some ways. But to be completely honest I think these 15 yrs. have just taught us to embrace him and the journey. Hang in there guys and keeping making the best decisions you can for your son. No one's journey will be perfect but it will be the best journey for your family! God Bless!

Bruh … Thanks for sharing, My Son Joshua was diagnosed with Aspergers ( autism spectrum) at an early age …everything was fine physically, emotionally and cognitive…UNTIL he was vaccinated!!! His mother noticed that he was digressing ,as well as i noticed , repeatedly had him tested, we had to finally accept his diagnosis…though it’s been a challenge ( me obtaining full custody and raising him from the age 3 until now 18 ,as a single father) he graduated this past June and is heading to college in South Carolina… GOD be the glory and all those whom have helped Joshua, Me and all the special needs children thank you… peace!!!

My son was diagnosed at two. He had intensive early intervention and can now hold small small conversation. He's a math genius because I worked an hour a day cultivating math skills. Look into ABA therapy (and there are some controversies). My son was in speech, physical, occupational, and social/emotional therapy. Now, he no longer needs pt and ot...his handwriting was atrocious, but the physical therapy helped with that. You could probably do the therapies yourself if you researched how they are done (lots of repetition). Much of it is instructional role playing if that makes sense.

My heart goes out to you guys. My daughter is autistic so I understand the challenges. I must say you guys rock though and are doing an amazing job. Have you ever looked into getting a GI map done? It's about $400 -500 dollars and you have to have a provider order it for you but, you might get a lot of answers with what's wrong with his gut from it. I did one on my daughter and was shocked at how bad her gut was. Also micronutrient panel testing for blood and mercury testing. So many kids on the spectrum have nutritional deficiencies that affect not only their weight but, it can cause neurotransmitters to not fire off correctly. I know you mentioned he didn't get v but you still might want to do a metal's test to just to rule out he wasn't exposed to it. Also, look into mthfr gene mutation test it's like $80 bucks to order online. A lot of kids on the spectrum have that mutation that affects their ability to process b vitamins and detoxify. Last bust not least, neurofeedback and brain mapping. You'll actually get a chance to see what's going on in his brain. They'll take a picture of his brain and you'll see what areas are over stimulated or under stimulated. Then they'll usually put together a plan of therapy for brain training and rewiring. Oh the last bit is also research pans/pandas. The short version of what pans or pandas is pretty much a streptococcal infection causes a neuro immune response. One and three on the spectrum get it. The symptoms are very similar to autism and can be easily lumped into the autism diagnosis if your child already has it. If you noticed any regression in him lately it might be worth asking his doctor to put in a blood test to check his titters. I wish you guys all the best with your journey and I pray for answers and recovery for your son. Again, you guys are doing an amazing job ❤

Thank you for your transparency. I too have a 9 almost 10 year old (Joshua) diagnosed with autism. It really helps to see and hear someone else that is going through the same thing. Here’s some things that helped to calm and soothe him: he wears a compression undershirt to school and sleeps with a weighted blanket. We also gives him regular epsom salt baths with lavender, then spray his pillow with a lavender spray. Knocks him out and he now sleeps through the night. During the day I place essential oils(called Balance) on his feet and his spine. Diet is another conversation but when we followed the GAPS diet or just eliminated dyes and processed foods he stopped toe walking and his body seemed to regulate. We also give him probiotics and Omega 3s. Thanks again for sharing. Hope to learn more from you. Blessings family 🤎

Hey guys. Lovely video. So happy you did the research. I know someone who has a child diagnosed with Autism and this person also found similar information while doing their research. They found out about the parasites that are associated with autism. They started treating their child with chlorine dioxide continuously and in less than 24 months, their child is almost back to completely being normal. This child behaved like yashua and was also having hallucinations, imaginary friends and all that, constantly pacing (not being able to sit down and relax). But now the child sits calmly and can speak in clear sentences and have a normal conversation with deep understanding, can bath themself properly, cook, and clean, and has developed many more skills. I myself am shocked as they said there is no cure. But the cleanse clearly works a 100%. It's a commitment one would have to take to heal their child but it is 100% worth it!

I have a son 26 with autism he was diagnosed at the age 3. As a single working mother it was very challenging. I thought this can get any worse but when he turned 13 it became a real struggle he became very aggressive. There had been times, I said to myself how can I keep him at home. He started to destroy the house. He was in and out of hospital on behavioral units. After finding out that we are the true bible people, so called black people scatter through out the world. Yes we are the real chosen people. I began to fast and pray to the creator The Most High. My son has his own apartment with providers, also my daughter and I work with him he does a lot of things on his own he’s very neat and clean. Although he doesn’t like to cook or do chores. Stay prayed up and mayThe Most High continue to guide you in this journey with your family 💕

I have two son's with Autism. It's a weird disorder. It has many different spectrum. One of my son's has two college degrees but he is to his self. He lives alone and he has a job. The other one is don't talk but understand everything you say to him at one point he was doing what Joshua was doing in this video. Then he just stop on his own. after I and the family told him he can't act this way because other people wouldn't understand him. We have to keep reminding him of his behavior. It's like you have to show him over and over until he gets it. But he gets it and he won't do it. You have to have a lot of patience. Pray and keep talking and showing him things. I don't know what it is. I thought it was the vaccines because both boys would have high fevers and crying spells each time they had those shots. One had weird eating habits where he would eat anything but peanut butter and jelly. Now he eats everything. I have a coworker with this condition and the man didn't start talking until he turn nine years old. He is very active in his church he talk very well but goes into a humming behavior sometimes When you ask him if he is ok he stops for a while then goes back into it. I don't know what causes autism but stay on him about his behavior be patient and kind and talk with him. Don't let him think bad behavior is acceptable. He is just like the other kids you just have to be a little more patient and say and do things over and over. Get flash cards ( ABC's, numbers, words with pictures) and have him to work on them. He is very advance in something but his social skills are just not there. You will see what I am talking about. Joshua will surprise you. Have you heard of Autism speak? My children are in their forties now. Back in the early eighties it wasn't any help. The public schools didn't want my child to go to school that why I am saying you have to educate and teach your own child. If you can find help accept help but be careful you have a nonverbal child. Pray! God got your back. Include him in your video. Teach him what you are doing. Make sure you teach him his black history. Make should the girls are teaching him and showing him things. Ask God to show you his gift and to help you to help him. The devil is busy don't let him have a foothold in your family. You have to research autism and educate yourself on this disorder. Watch his diet and make him feel loved! I don't know what cause this. Everybody is saying different things. You will see what I am talking about. I am praying God send you the help you need with Joshua. Don't be afraid to use medication if you have to.Some will help him if he start getting frustrated. He is aware or will become aware that he is different and will began to act out because he don't want to be different.

Thank you for sharing your experience. My godson, born in 1999, was also diagnosed autistic at around 3 years. I used to take him and his older sister on outings on the weekend to the mall, to the movies, to the park. He was always well behaved and I had no issues with him in public. It wasn't until he reached puberty that the serious social issues started to appear. His mom moved about 75 miles away so I was unable to see him as often as I had before, but he was mostly a recluse, staying in his room all the time. The lovely bond that we had developed when he was young started to disappear and I lost track of him for the most part. But his mom was always there for him, got him through high school and he now holds down a nice job at PetSmart, and he is also a very talented jazz pianist. I wish all the best for Yahshua in the coming years. With your love and support I am sure he will thrive.

@@NativeBorne Hi fam, I hope you're doing well. I saw this video last night and had to come back and comment. There is a place here in Austin that uses laser therapy (NeuroSolution) and vibration (Rezzimax) to the brain and spinal cord to rebalance the nervous system. I've been referring several of my patients there with Autism. And OMG, congratulations on the new baby!! ruclips.net/video/C6ShvkRIt-Y/видео.html

We have a 1 year old just diagnosed with ASD because Dad noticed a speech regression. I had my niece living with us for the last school year and she was diagnosed with ADHD during her stay. We did vaccines and hospital birth, but he had eczema. It was due to an egg and pet dander allergy, which we didn't find out about until after we got him a flu shot. ASD has been linked to brain inflammation, which can be helped by green veggies and mustard. We give him a supplement called Neurobrocc, which has helped the behaviors tremendously, IMO. His ABA therapy starts soon and we will be giving him a shot called Dupixent, which inactivates the allergy reaction cell. Hopefully then his irritation will be diminished and he can run around freely with our dog, which he loves to do. My hat's off and keep at it. We do a lot of self help at home using the Turn Autism Around methods (a book by Mary Barbera). We also got a PRT (Pivotal Response Training) book from the diagnosing MD, and those techniques are helping him communicate much more effectively. The absolute best way we can support him is with the emotional support at his low moments and lots of interaction and teaching using his environments.

My son was they typical baby, walked and talked at 9 months, was reading at 9 months. He iwas a little genius. He hot really sick when he was a year and a half and took a while to get over it. He was so constipated during that time also. But he recovered and back to normal. He got his 25 month shots and he came home a different boy, the baby sitter noticed j e was not responding when sh called him and he was not making eye contact or talking much. Then I noticed that he was echoing every thing I would say. I panicked and quit my federal job and moved from ATL to Florida where my family were. At 3 years old he was diagnosed with ASD, he could read and write at 3 at the lever of a 1st grader, he started speech therapy and I would not accept non verbal from him . I told him he must write what he wants to say and read it to me. That is how I got him talking again, he's now 8 and is still in speech therapy, he doing great and getting better, he reads a few books per week and he reads ou aloud. He is now writing his own comic book, he's on volume 20 at 15 pages per book. I wrote all this to say keep up the good job you're doing for your son. There's a doctor in SC I think, Dr Rashid A Buttar who's has heald his son of ASD, he has his own clinic. He also has a website Advance Medicine. Check him out, maybe he can help

He will be just fine.. Its a challenge, I know... But I see his SPIRIT in his eyes. He is STRONG. WISE. INSIGHTFUL. He seems to be an empath. The supernatural ability to absorb energies around him. He communicates differently. However he does communicate. My son is an autistic communicator. Understanding triggers, understanding he is an empath, if I or my husband had a bad day or feeling a type of way my son could pick that up like a magnet and it would trigger an episode. Any emotions we tried to mask or cover up.. He would ACT on. We had to really get deep and honest. We were stripped of all shields lol . 24yrs later. He is a Georgia State graduate. and works as an ITT technician. And yes he is UNAPOLOGETICALLY BRUTALLY HONEST. If you dont want yo share your emotes, dont go around Jermaine 😂 he will expose you. He has a small tight friend circle. Very serious loving giving man. So proud of him. I see my son in your son.

Brother first thank you for being in your son life secondly please see if enrolling your son in a school specifically for children with autism would be a better option for your son-thirdly there are communication apps for iPads that will help your baby communication-it has helped my son tremendously-my sons speech therapist explained something to me and I’ve seen this with my son-sometimes with autism our children are trying to say another word but another word is coming out-with that speech app it helps prevent this most of the time. My son uses one called proloquo to go-the department of developmental disability in your city will pay for it but first you must sign your son up with them to receive services. There’s a Facebook group that your wife might
Like to join it’s called black autism moms they share a lot of helpful information. Make picture for your son when you feel he
May not be understanding-he may be more of a visual learning. I’ve made this too
Long but things will improve believe me. You’ve just got to get him in a program specifically for autism and which have a small class ratio and a proven track record💗💗💗

Have you tried ozone therapy? Detoxing? There’s a treatment in Mexico that my daughter showed me that a young girl was nonverbal, had violent tendencies and when she had the treatment she began talking and engaging! Not sure the name, it was a tic tock video.
We went for hyperbaric ozone treatment in Oaxaca and my son got sick afterwards, which means that it worked. We needed to continue but we were traveling soon after. Mexico offers a lot of different options for treatments as well as many herbs for various conditions.

Have you guys thought about consulting with a medical intuitive? If you can find a highly skilled, ethical one, you may want to look into it. They can access the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual realms to look at the root source of a problem, where as Western Medicine is still very limited. I saw a documentary of a Native American woman who was diagnosed with Cancer and only given a few months to live. She saw a traditional Native Healer and was healed and pronounced completely cancer free after a weekend ceremony...
