Hello there! I’m a born and bred BC girl who lives in Rhode Island now so this is making me homesick! Enjoy everything the island and BC has to offer. It’s amazing. You might like sooke potholes. Beautiful swimming area on a river...busy on weekends but definitely worth it. Happy travels! 💖

I guess I'm spoiled too - I sleep just like Eamon with the two pillows!! 😂😂 need to have them both 😴
I've never tried this but I thought of it when the cookies were getting scorched in the pan. I can definitely appreciate why you want to figure out how to pan-bake cookies when you don't have an oven. :) So this is my thought... Firstly, like you said, use a lid but maybe keep it slightly ajar to allow steam to escape. Secondly, to try to avoid burning the cookies, ball-up a piece of foil and then un-ball it and lined the bottom of the pan with the crinkled foil. Then perhaps put another layer of crinkled foil over it. Finally, stretch out a layer of UNCRINKLED foiled and spray it with Pam or whatever (you don't want the cookies to stick to it). Hopefully, the layers of crinkled foil will help insulate the dough from the direct heat and allow the cookies to bake (via indirect heat). Probably the lower the flame the better but you can play around and see what you find out.

Bec's comment about the nosy lady walking her dog giving them weird looks (I'm guessing) while they are filming themselves talking to the camera made me bust out loud laughing. I was eating and a piece of corn shot out of my mouth and landed on my keyboard plus the outro was funny too LOL. Thanks for all the laughs, I needed it :D

I'm the same with sleep! The list used to be very long and I used to need a fan on every night but now just listen to 'delta sleep one' on loop with earphones and also need a side support pillow or bear to hug ha. I call it being a needy sleeper.

Bec a shoutout to you from a fellow misophonia. My hat is off to you for being able to sit with a number of people cramming as much food as possible into their mouths as fast as they can and then proceedings to talk. I would be running screaming from the van. I don’t know how you do, I’m amazed. Love you guys.🧡

Chaiwala is the best chai I've ever had!! Wish it wasn't so hard to bring to cafes in the US. If it ever works out, check out the cafe scene in Boston!
I swear you summed up my sleeping on the road issues! I struggle sleeping where it's too quiet or nature, and put me on a city street I'll pass out.

As someone who works just under manager level at a grocery store where locals do sell some of their own products, it's totally not a big deal when one person talks to us about their stuff and then someone else comes and talks about the same thing soon after. To me, it just lets me know that they are serious about what they're selling. I just wanted to give you guys a little perspective from the other side! Totally not awkward at all! Love you guys!!

My husband pan fried those cookies once! From what I remember he had the heat set to medium low and then after he cooked both sides he let it cool...🤷🏼♀️ they were good, but when I tried to recreate it mine fell apart. 😞

Eamon & Bec thank you so much for your reply, you always make my day. So, I have a question for you. I know you don't sell your Chai in the states, but can someone still purchase from you that lives in the states? I know its rather tricky, but I would love to try it. Im not able to eat food or drink very much for that matter. I have a disease called Gastroparesis which means my stomach is slow to empty or partially paralyzed. Mine is partially paralyzed & its my entire GI tract so I am fed with a feeding tube. I can sip some liquids & thats why I would love to try your tea. If you can't sell it to me, I completely understand. I have a couple of friends that I could ask to purchase & ship it to me. ;) Happy weekend! 💞

Did you try the chai at the tea place in Granville Island Market, in Vancouver? They make the absolute best chai I have had anywhere. They use freshly made black tea for every cup, and use a sweet sticky paste for the milk & spice.
Where ya-what ya. What is up? Loved the pigs and that they have beds. Loved the goats. I guess I need to order some Chai and try.
I know you guys are heading to Portland Oregon! You should definitely go to Eugene it’s about 2 hours from Portland and there are so many tea cafés definitely check out Townsend‘s tea company. (Also amazing vegan pizza and donuts across the street)
You need to come to the west Kootenays. Nelson and Slocan valley are in need of your tea. We have a huge amount of independent coffee places.... Frog peak cafe, Sleep is for Sissies, Mama Sitas, and the little Bakery in Slocan is just the Lower Valley businesses. Castlegar, New Denver, Silverton, Nakusp, And Revelstoke too. So tired of the soppy too sweet stuff from the tetra packs! Let me know if you come and I will make you a list! ....

Hi guys.. I was excited to see all the footage of BC and many places I've been to. (vancouver, whister, squamish and victoria. All super awesome) But I checked your chaiwalachai website and I'm sad that no cafes have your products yet. That's nuts. Hopefully this is a work in progress.
I have had "real" chai (as opposed to the yucky syrups) a couple of times (either in an Indian restaurant or made by friends) and it is a whole different beverage. I think that BC, which has a strong cafe culture, and is becoming more tea focused, is perfect for your product. Please don't give up. We need your product!!! I guess I'll order on line in the meantime. (any discount codes for subscribers?). ps love your videos..
ps.. Tim Hortons is way more popular in Eastern Canada. While there are still "Tim's people vs Starbucks people", starbucks has a strong foothold here. Perhaps because we are a stone's throw from the epicentre (Seattle).
Since you invited us to guess where you’re going next, I’m gonna say head out to the Gulf Islands. The gorgeous BC Ferries ride alone makes it totally worth the effort, but don’t miss the cold call sales opportunities on Salt Spring or Pender.

I am the same way about sleeping in the city. I can sleep anywhere. But I do prefer to be in wilderness areas more :)
You guys should check out Kaldi’s Coffee in St. Louis. They are locally owned and have a few cafes in town and a few in college towns.

I can personally vouch for your chai! I bought some during the mother's day sale and holy COW i am hooked on it now!! I so badly wish that shipping wasn't nearly as expensive for the US because I just ran out but it's so hard to justify :(
Awe, thank you Becca!! We appreciate your kind words about our chai :) I bet you can taste all the love we blend right into it! We are working tirelessly to come up with a solution for the shipping cost. Unfortunately, Canada makes it extremely expensive to ship tea around the world (and even within our own country!!). We'll be sure to keep you posted when things change :):)

Like once we were bike riding with my GF ( 250 Kms in two days and a half). The last 50 kept going up and down and up and down and I started to make up a song ( in french) that was like a prayer for more going downs than going ups.
It made the whole thing easier

What size is your fridge? Im in the process of building out my van, and I dont know what size fridge to get. Do you like the size of it? would you go bigger/smaller?
Our fridge is a 55L Dometic fridge. It is the one thing we would absolutely change about our build. We would go bigger next time for sure!!!

I love your video's and I think you're a very nice & sweet couple. We also have an MB Sprinter Van so I love the #vanlife things you show and discuss.
