I think she felt like she would be judged because she had divorced parents people might judge her so she lied about her parents, I think that Lola might be so self conscious, and so insecure that she lied about something that shouldn’t have to be lied about, maybe she felt ashamed, embarrassed, maybe she was judged about her parents divorce when she was still in NY?

As a theatre kid, now theatre director, if opening was in one week, that means Lola was messing up on Tech week. The week where everything has to be memorized, perfectly choreographed, sets built, props spiked, and lights and sound practiced and cued up. costumes and dress rehearsals would be done every night and most kids wouldn't go home until 9pm each night to get used to performances that late. Lola would make me consider putting an understudy out on opening night.

Megan Fox and Lindsay Lohan did not like each other at all on screen or off. There was a rivalry which hopefully subsided.
Also Megan Fox said in an interview that she's tired of being a sex symbol and just want to do more serious film roles, like the action thriller Til Death Do Us Part, where she ends up handcuffed to her husband's corpses.

Little fun fact; the girl who plays one of Carla's friends (the blonde one) plays Casey on the old Disney Channel show Life With Derek! It's weird seeing her in this since she plays such a different character on LWD personality wise.
Also, it never really registered in my mind when I was younger how stupid it was how Lola lied about her dad. To this day, I still don't get why she thought lying about her dad being dead would've made herself seem more interesting. It just seemed more like going overboard when defending her mom. Looking back, I think the only characters in this movie I like are the mom, Miss Baggoli and Ella. Maybe Sam too cause he is cute and pretty sweet. All that being said, the movie is fun and I do enjoy it. I just don't really like a whole lot of the characters. Lola and Carla included. I could not be friends with someone who lies as often as Lola did and Carla was also pretty bitchy. Neither sides were really likable in my opinion.

Aha! My useless knowledge from watching too many movie nerd videos on YT finally comes in handy! At 7:54 that "Blur in the background" comes from a technique where they use a second lens to get a second focus level. In this case they use it to get Lindsey into focus but also Megan who sits in the row behind her. The blur is in the area between the two lenses (or where they overlap, I´m not sure). They used this technique a lot in "The Haunting of Bly Manor" to get this eerie feeling of empty space, where the actor is on one side in the foreground, but the background is also in focus, but seemingly empty.

7:48 that blur in the middle is a split diopter shot! You can see it multiple times in Carrie 1976, it’s a way to have a subject that’s closer to the camera and a subject that’s behind them both be in focus. In this case, Lindsay is closer to the camera, and Megan is a few seats behind her, so to have both in focus they have a bit of a blur in the middle.

You can find it in Amazon Prime Video. This is a Brazilian movie (already dubbed to english), i really love it became one of my favorite live action movies and I think it deserves more recognition.
    Heres plot if you want:
This movie is about 4 friends, Monica, Maggie, Smudge and Jimmy Five (I know they have weird names). They have been friends since diapers. One day, they forget doing the homework from school and decide to skip school a bit, go out to the park do the homework and come back, Monica isn't pretty sure but still follows. Monica is like the mom of the group if you know what I mean. Anyways, they go but in their try Monica breaks an arm. The parents are worried about the children and think it's time for them to grow up so they place them I extra activies except Monica, her parents decide that her friends are a bad influence so they change her from School! Now Maggie, Smudge and Jimmy Five will do whatever I takes to get Monica back. They learn the meaning of friendship and that you can grow up without stop being a kid at heart.
Sorry, this comment is too long 😅

Look at all of Lola's actions under the lens of a transgender female whos chosen to present herself as a female, and consider how much of the context changes:
She's not just being overdramatic because she's a theater kid, she's doing so because she's trying to emulate how stereotypical women in TV dramas and movies act.
Insisting on being called Lola, much like how one would ask to not be deadnamed.
Leaning on music for emotional support because they get so little of it elsewhere.

2:51 I think it's made to show her hostility towards the new place
15:25 I had the same reaction when I saw this as a child
15:54 my elementary teacher had the same reaction when we did vaseline (it ended up great but there was a lot of yelling and frustration)
18:37 this moment definetly shapped me into the persevering person I am to keep the night alive at any ocation
21:11 why is this so real, that poor guy 😂😂
24:20 this made me learn when to draw a line with problematic scenarios and people (also she didn't say he was drunk she said he is a drunk, like with an addiction)
29:15 same but then they changed it to Sam and I felt a lot of calm, they where really showing her current life is the one a teenager should be expirienceing not the fantasy, showing that even when parts of it are actually present it's far from what she imagined in her fantasies and that's a goog thing that still manages to make her happy
God I still love this movie so much!! My childhood!! 💖🤩

So this was one of those DVD's that we had for YEARS, that I didn't think much about, never popped it in, maybe my sister did once and like never again, but a few years ago, I decided to finally pop it in, and..............this was pretty much me after watching "Confessions of a Teenage Scumbag". To the people who made this movie.............ruclips.net/video/9nZWMEF6zR4/видео.html
