Not necessary that woman who are 35 years or older when they become pregnant are more likely to have a pregnancy affected by Down syndrome than women who become pregnant at a younger age. Like my fren, she gives birth to her child at the age of 28 but the child turns out to be down symptoms. Whereas my aunt gives birth to her child at the age of 43 and now her child, a math genius who is pursuing PhD in mathematics at Stanford university.
Of course it’s not necessary? It’s just more likely. You do realize if we based all of our stats on anecdotal evidence it would be worthless, right? You should speak with your cousin the math genius to better understand
@@IncredibleIceCastle Most likely? But most of my aunties gave birth in their thirties. None of my cousin is down symptoms... Including me as well. My mom gave birth to me in her thirties. I wont say I am exceptionally smart but definitely not a down symptom child. There must be other factors that lead to down symptoms not solely age.
@@andreakazyncski4518 holy shit! Your extended family in particular didn’t lose the genetic lottery and experience birth defects or chromosomal disorders, so everything I’m saying about the likelihood of it happening to the ENTIRE POPULATION must be false! Incredible point
@@IncredibleIceCastle so far I only encounter a fren who given birth to a down symptom child . But she gave birth to that child at the age of 28-29. If u said majority, then many friends of mine would have already given birth to a down symptom child as most of them got married and given birth in their early thirties. Am just surprised that geriatric pregnancy refers to thirties not forties. Anyway I am just commenting what I observe. That’s all. No offense. So you don’t have to feel so frustrated about it. Just let u know that I am now pregnant and already at the age of 31. Should I expect a down symptom child? 😂😂
There is more in life than having children, Im sure you can find something that makes you happ besides being pregnant or you can always try to adopt, there are so many orphan children in the world
Don't refer to your condition as a 'disease'. And you will have beautiful babies, I'd you wish to have kids go for it! Don't let your genes hold you back!
As a kid I thought the downsydrome people in the shopping centre were the same people just changing clothes very quickly or are siblings
I learnt a lot. Thanks, Lecturio

Good visual and explanation
Who was the first person to have some of the traits before the syndrome was discovered?
Thank you
All those risks are due to the research done , aging is above the others , others follow, but sorry to your sister
If someone thinks they have translocational DS, should they get tested?
Is this why mj stuck his tongue out wearing number 23?
I grow up with down syndrome, I cried when I have this disease. I'm 30 yrs old now, no baby yet, I'm scared if my baby would have it too 😭
oh sorry, may God help you
Don't reproduce

Down syndrome is non infections diseases. Or not
No, it's not infectious. It's a Genetic disorder.
Dumbfuck its not a disease
shut up
About as infectious as blue eyes.
Down Syndrome is common in older mothers because when the fertility is low they tend to have chromosomal errors.
