Milani didn’t just give each lip oil their own scent, they also made each tube with a corresponding shade of plastic. This is why Milani costs a bit more; they invest more into their components.
Exactly and I remember someone saying it's good because they make their products in Italy like some high-end brands and they make their lip stains in Korea if I'm not wrong, yet they are still reasonably priced compared to high end. It's definitely worth it because they still manage to have it available at the drug store when other higher end brands have very similar or the same products for muuuch more money.
Not to be a hater, but don't many brands have a corresponding plastic shade, at much lower prices? I'm thinking immediately of my essence lipsticks and nyx glosses. Just to say, the plastic doesn't really justify/explain the price imo. Edit: probably the quality of the product itself is the main price driver. I'm considering picking it up after all this enthusiasm in the comments 😁
Kelly is one of the fewest who truly loves and uses drugstore makeup. Why do I say this? Because others scream that they love but when to declutter they first get rid of drugstore. They "love drugstore" because such videos bring more views and not because they truly love or use them.
When I'm done w/ my makeup no buy, I'm def picking up one of their liquid blushes. That nude shade looks so perfect for me - I don't love bold blush, don't like bronzer, so it's a perfect balance between the two to give a bit of dimension.
I agree with so many other commenters. You look like you just had a quick walk or a little workout and somehow you don’t look sweaty. You just look glowy and pretty. Thank you for your picks for the summertime.
I tried the Revolution cream Bronzer and swatched the Nyx buttermelt bronzer... They're so orange on me, even at the lightest shades and even with the rosy tone in the Nyx... It's such a shame because the formula for both are FANTASTIC!! If anyone has any similar recommendations for a very cool undertone, please share!
I FEEL YOU. I fully believe that for true cool undertones we need a bit of a rosy hue AND a tiny bit of a grey hue in our bronzers. The Elf Halo Glow contour in the really grey shade (I think the lightest?) has been a really good mixer for me to cool things down
I’d recommend checking out pale beige-y blushes instead of bronzers for the really cool and pale ones, chances are these are closer to the colors you’ll turn in the sun v/s all the “golden” bronzers on the market so just shop the blush category and that will open up your world of color options! Milani and L’Oréal at drugstore come to mind, RMS and Salt New York are indies to check out as well
I want to thank you for your review on Essence Lash Without Limits mascara in brown. I was also on the hunt for a good brown mascara and was using Glossier’s lash slick for a while…but I picked up a tube of Essence’s lash without limits brown mascara after seeing you use it and talk about it so much that I bought myself a tube and I love it! It truly gives me a more natural brown lash look. ❤
I found that Flower Beauty Day Glow at my local Dollar Tree months ago! And for $1.25, it was definitely worth it! It's beautiful for someone who doesn't need to be seen from space! I've been on the fence about the NYX Buttermelt Bronzer, but I think I'm going to get it. I've seen a lot of my fav creators use it again (outside of their initial reviews) and the more I see it, the more I want it...
Thank you SO MUCH for showing what the e.l.f blush in "Always Cheeky" ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE. It's been on my list of light nude/beige blushes to try when I'm off my no-buy & now it's firmly crossed off!! Ugh, it's so hard to find an affordable brand that releases super nuanced pale taupe blush shades... I don't love blush, dislike bronzer, & just want a hint of definition to my cheekbones. 😭
The Mango Coconut Fruit Fetish Balm is my OG fave, but the lip oils are suuuuuper tempting... Honey Fig & Coco Cacao are such pretty nude shades for a barely there lip.
Also, the Milani Baked blushes are my favorite! I have both Luminoso and Dolce Pink (which reminds me of the shade Orgasm by Nars, I've tried a mini by Nars before). Oh! And I have the Milani Silky Matte Bronzer from your recommendation and have large pan in it now. I love it! 😊
Catrice's shade ranges for POC are kiiinda iffy, you will see gaps looking at their swatches and they have a lot more light shades than medium to dark if you were to purely divide them light vs dark. All of their blushes are too light. They are certainly better than their sister brand essence that's for sure.
I have had trouble getting any lip stain to last. I love the idea of having long lasting color. I’ll try some more brands. I was so hoping the Fenty one would last, but really didn’t for as long as I wanted. The elf one is not even a stain for me at all. Wore off even faster than most glosses and no stain.

That's my go to foundation right now! I find it works best if I massage it between my fingers to pop the pigment capsules and combine it with the serum base, then apply right to my face just like I would a skin serum and gently work it in to my skin, then fully blend it out with a brush. It does such a great job of evening out my complexion and neutralizing some of my redness but it doesn't look like you are wearing anything! FWIW, I'm 47 with dry skin and rosacea and I'm obsessed.
The only two products that I own from this video that I truly love all E.L.F. Cosmetics Stay All Night Micro Fine Setting Mist and Revolution Beauty Ultra Cream Bronzer in Light.
Luminoso looks so orange on me! I'm pretty neutral toned but something like the essence blush in befitting is my perfect sunburn color and something like Benetint is actually my perfect natural flush, I just look like that when I blush naturally!
Random find here BIORE UV aqua rich spf 30 & 50 with hyaluronic acid moisturizer. The packaging drew me in, I LOVE how it specifically says " for 12 to 17 yr olds" I am not that, ha ha no, 37 here.. This product is very surprising. There is a healthy natural "glow" finish, NOT oily and I can be an oil monster, it is AMAZING under makeup. Scent is a light citric but fades. No cast. I also can put other SPF on top without issue. No burning my eyes either. Canadian ladies this is at Walmart and Shoppers for $20 or under.
The elf blush might look really light on the website but it's shade description says it's a light peach. I trust shade descriptions much more than photos because it's so hard to capture true color in photography.
The whole time you were explaining the flower highlighter I was thinking man I bet the salt NY highlights are similar - I used mine all up so guess I need to get another.!!
I bought Luminoso this year and love it. Love Milani blushes, I've almost been wearing Luminoso everyday and thinking weather to buy the cream in the peach shade Coral crush 🤔😁 How do you apply your cream or liquid highlighter with your finger without it disturbing your concealer ? Because when I've used cream highlighter to do that I end up with this obvious concealer line 🙄
Honestly I wish I knew, maybe putting cream/liquid highlight underneath the concealer before you do your base makeup might help? Tho for me I hate the balmy texture on my face nowadays so I got the supershock highlighter from ColourPop in the shade lunch money and it's like a soft putty but it sets like a powder, but it has no noticeable shimmer particles and blends out like a dream (tho you can concentrate it for a blinding highlight too like I do with a brush for my inner corners). It kinda has the same natural lit from within glow that a cream or liquid does but without lifting my concealer at all. Idk if that's what you're looking for but maybe give it a try :)
I tried that sun bum gel spf per your recommendation and for some reason it makes my face feel super itchy and tingly 😞 I’m going to use the rest up on my body
I had the revolution cream bronzer and broke the hinge off and it still lasted me another few months without drying out even when the lid would fall off in my makeup box

I lovee the milani baked blushes, I got two shades berry amore which is like a beautiful sun-kissed brick bronze-y blush shade and luminoso, but I feel like something is wrong with the new luminoso I got not too long ago. It's a great expanding/brightening peach shade on my medium skintone, or at least it was because the first one I got a year ago looks more like the one you have but I bought a new one yet it's more on the pinky side and less peach. I swatched the old one with the new one side by side and they do indeed look different. I don't mind the new one but where's the original peachy one I liked so much :cc idk if they changed something or what but I can't find the same shade anymore.

I'm wondering if any of the drugstore lip oils you've tried remind you of the Sigma lip oils? I'm wondering if I can find a cheaper alternative for the Hush shade once mine runs out. I really like the ph adjusting aspect because it stains my lips a bit!
So this is probably a good thing, but I cannot get any of the products you're recommending here currently in Aus. They haven't made it here yet, which I'm sad about. Even the Australian covergirl store hasn't got them in stock yet. Guess I'll just have to keep using what I have!
I'm going to be upset with you, if I can't find my ELF primer infused blushes, they're one of the only affordable truly long lasting blushes, and for that reason; I've been gate-keeping tf out of it! 😅
I can’t figure out the Flower lip stain. When I wipe it off, it just sits in my lines, not really on the whole lip. Is 15-20 min not enough to let a stain sit?
I love those catrice lip oils so i took it to a trip with me where it was my main product. My lips were so dry after a few days of use. Defo not a product for the minimalist girlies
The milani lip glosses contain SUCH a small amount of product. Compare it to other products. They’re actually expensive. I love them and buy them but go through them so fast.
I love them, but to be fair I'm only using the really pigmented colors in the line... I wouldn't be surprised if the pinks and mauves barely do anything at all, but the berry and spicy sienna colors give me a great stain!
I like Milani, but unfortunately I don't buy from them anymore. After their tiktok about the Amber Heard case, I just don't think they're a company whose morals align with my own. It's obviously a personal choice, and I'm glad you have products from them that you love!
@joiedevivre894 I don't really want to stir up controversy in Kelly's comments, so please take this with a grain of salt. During the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, Amber Heard's counsel used a Milani concealer palette as evidence, alleging that she'd used it to cover up her bruises. It was a brand-new palette, so counsel wasn't saying that it was that SPECIFIC palette, but rather showing it as an example of what she might have used, if that makes sense. However, Milani (like the official brand page) made a tiktok with that like "I'm an international super-spy" sound basically being all "but we didn't even SELL that specific palette when she would have used it to cover her bruises!" (I am paraphrasing, I don't remember the exact wording they used.) They were like...trying to debunk a woman going through a domestic abuse trial? And be all cute and funny about it? And to my knowledge they never apologized for it. The entire trial was extremely controversial (to put it lightly), but I feel that a domestic abuse trial isn't the place for a makeup company to make a cute little tiktok trying to be all current. It was tacky at best, and it really really put me off from ever buying them again. And I don't feel like I'm missing out, honestly.
Milani didn’t just give each lip oil their own scent, they also made each tube with a corresponding shade of plastic. This is why Milani costs a bit more; they invest more into their components.

Is there any specific reason you don’t purchase from benefit?
I love those catrice lip oils so i took it to a trip with me where it was my main product. My lips were so dry after a few days of use. Defo not a product for the minimalist girlies
What am I doing wrong? I bought one of the Milani lip stains…it doesn’t stain. It’s gone in no time 😢
Yay for the updated single eyeshadow vid!!
The milani lip glosses contain SUCH a small amount of product. Compare it to other products. They’re actually expensive. I love them and buy them but go through them so fast.
Kellie, the “howl” links don’t work.
I loved the formula of the Milani lip oil, but the component got so messy.
Ugh Milani lip stain and cover girl outlast lip the links don’t work
Hi! Why doesn’t Kelly purchase from Benefit?
She's cruelty free.
@@lipstickzombie4981 got it! Thanks!
Say "I love a lip stain" again .... telephone voice ❤
I’m done with lipstick and wiping it off my teeth. Lip stains all the way
🦋💜
❤❤
I bought the Elf lip stain and it doesn’t leave a stain at all. I was disappointed ☹️
I was so disappointed by the elf one too :(
I love them, but to be fair I'm only using the really pigmented colors in the line... I wouldn't be surprised if the pinks and mauves barely do anything at all, but the berry and spicy sienna colors give me a great stain!
The stains are so subtle that one wouldn’t really notice. Not sure whose lips they would show up on 😂
Where is Tilly? Did I miss something?😢😢
I like Milani, but unfortunately I don't buy from them anymore. After their tiktok about the Amber Heard case, I just don't think they're a company whose morals align with my own. It's obviously a personal choice, and I'm glad you have products from them that you love!
Do you mind revealing more info for those of us who live under a rock?
@@jupiterliam7961 thank you! I understand now
