I'm patiently waiting to put my new 1 yr old stealth 64 in my lb7. Is this any different then my stealth 64 ?. Any news on when a EO # will be issued for California, thanks
@scottmoore2628 SEMA's certification of this turbo is essentially a guarantee that your product will pass E.O. Testing. That being said the Mach 1 is still going through E.O. testing so it may be a year or more until we see an 50-state E.O. certification on this turbo.
If you have a compound stock/s475 and the stock turbo needs to be replaced, would this pair better with the atmospheric charger compared to stock?
Yes, the oversized turbine on this unit will match well in a compound set and the stainless wastegate puck will not fail as is common in stock turbos in compound applications.
@@nickpriegnitz5895 great, thanks so much for the details, Nick.
@@nickpriegnitz5895I’m gonna kinda piggyback on this because I also have a stock/S475. Will this help with down low turbo lag?
@nono-fn3zc as @nickpriegnitz5895 mentioned the upgrades this turbo offers will provide noticeable performance advantages in a compound turbo setup. You will definitely see an improvement compared to using the stock charger.
@@Re-engineer_everything if your stock turbo is performing as it should, I cannot understand how these guys are telling you that their larger turbo will have less lag for you. I’d talk to Nick first to verify that advice his staff gave. If it’s correct, then I’m shocked and pleased! I’d expect a little more lag compared to stock, but the benefits after that point should be great, given the data Nick shared. A proper converter selection would probably hide that little bit of lag difference:) Good luck!
That’s a really wonderful and informative video. I think it’s really cool that companies like you exist. You can tell you guys really care. Just a simple question. Why do the LB7 turbos cost about $500 less than the LLY turbos ? It also looks like they have slightly different names. Just wondering, and thank you so much
Just a guessing here, the LB7 turbo is not that intricate as the other Duramax turbos that have VVT. Easier to manufacture, less parts.. And Yes I want one for my LB7 Hummer H1
Are these turbos available for the LLY
@@levarbell1433 Yes they are!
is there a g1 and g2 like before ?
In short, yes. We just upgraded so many internal components and moved to a refined wheel design that it made sense to upgrade their name too.
@@Duramaxtuner okay and does it get that whistle sound like the g2 did?
That's great news thanks for sharing.
Nick how does this turbo sound thanks
@user-nl4kc3bs2i It's got a very pronounced turbo whistle. Nothing crazy high pitched but it definitely howls when you get on it!
Hi I am the first comment
@Jett572 You win!
@@Duramaxtuner thank you
