Are you someone who would like to spend lots of time in a campervan, travelling around, and plan to travel by yourself, or perhaps with a dog? Many campers are optimised for couples and families, and are a compromise for a solo traveller.
We have released the Manhattan Solo - answering the need for a fixed single bed camper with an elevating roof. This gives even better comfort and convenience, coupled with more storage than our classic side-kitchen layout.
It's ideal for those travelling solo, and spending extended periods in their campervan, who want a vehicle centred around single occupancy, with optimal convenience.
The Solo is based on our well-established Manhattan campervan, and you can see it in more detail here:

We also offer a smaller Solo vehicle, with a footprint on the road smaller than many cars, in the excellent Nissan NV200. It's called the CamperCar Solo, and you can see it here:

here is a video about it: • New - NV200 CamperCar ...

this thing has anything you could ever need and therefore enough space to move in it. I love it! And I've seen alot!
All other layouts waste alot of space because it's used by two people. But alone its more than enough space!
Buy it in Europe ? Prices,…import ?
I do love your new Manhattan solo van philipallen
I wish you were in the US. Great camper vans.
Hi, having watched a few more of your vlogs I'm seriously impressed with your style of presentation, very refreshing and in spring of the new year I would love to visit your facilities to discuss various options, being in Sussex I assume you're not to far from Gatwick.
Feliz Navidad y Año Nuevo !!
Hi Tony, great to hear! Yes we are around 20 minutes south of Gatwick. Happy Christmas!
Excellent conversion. Would love to have it for a month to tour France. Then Spain, Italy......
Absolutely... Sounds great!
Daniel I do love your Manhattan solo camper van it's got plenty of room philipallen
Thanks Phillip, it certainly is roomy for a solo traveller - luxury!
Wish you guys were in Aus! Nothing quite like this here.
This is a fantastic layout for the solo camper but at 3:46 as you are relaxing I notice your head is very close to the headliner. The pop top for me gives lovely, much needed headroom (I'm 6'7") but I'd still need this built on a high top plus the pop top, would that be a possibility? And where was the backrest hiding prior to 3:46 please? As I said, fantastic layout, great job done well👍 Edit: Can't stop watching this video (three times now) and I've spotted the backrest behind the driver's seat . . . . Cool beans!
Hi John
The headroom is quite good actually. Indeed we can build this on the high top version too, which might suit you better
Daniel are you doing any new campervan this year philipallen
Very swish. 👍
Yes indeed... It's even better in person
Nice conversion but having seen a feature on the Nugget I would prefer a tailgate to barndoors so as to use the tailgate for shower room roof and a curtain surround, also an auto box and cruise is a must, thoughts ?, thanks for vid.
Hi Tony, we have a tailgate option too!
That's just what I'm after with a few tweaks to decor. I'll give you a call to arrange an appointment.
Brilliant, look forwards to hearing from you Tim :)
Perfect for me! Love the beard! 😊
😅
The fridge opens the wrong way !!
We can do it either way, depending on client wishes
Is it possible to swope the bed with the kitchen, placing the bed near the window and the kitchen closer to the door - without a cabinet in the back. I prefer long fixed bed with big container underneath for storage. Would this be possible? Thanks
Hi there Jonathan
Have you seen our Solo version? It pretty much does what you're suggesting
ruclips.net/video/qyMreAEF0mI/видео.html
Yes I have seen. I meant to locate the bed on the driver's side and the kitchen on the passanger's side. Would this be possible?
I love your portable water system. Q: Where is the grey water tank if it exist?
Thanks
Has the Manhattan solo van got a roof bed as well?
Hi Paul, yes that is an option :)
Could you do the same layout on a nv200
Yes we do - we have the CamperCar Solo :)
Great layout for a solo camper. Great having the microwave. Could you have a bed in the pop top too for if there’s another traveller? Also wonder about a diesel hob/heater. Don’t want to carry gas or have that glass topped set up that everyone does. Don’t understand it as they so often get broken and it’s not really a worktop that can be used.
Hello, yes indeed, there's room for a full double bed in the roof space, and the reinforcing and supports are fitted as standard.
The heating is accomplished by a thermostatic gas system which is all installed underneath, so no gas stored inside and no cupboard space used...
SussexCampervans Thank you for the prompt response! I just don’t fancy gas at all, don’t have it at home either! Do you do diesel systems that draw from the fuel tank?
@@MamaKim. hello... Watch this space. We have an even better solution being launched before Christmas!
SussexCampervans Ok! I’m subscribed so look forward to it. As a solo female traveller I need things to be simple, easy to operate, less to go wrong. Hence asking about diesel combined hob/heater. I like the portable water system I saw on another video of yours too for the same reason. Glass tops seem an accident waiting to happen in my eyes. Have even considered foregoing a hob/sink and just having a washing up bowl and camping stove. Then the worktop area can actually be used! Would love being able to have a microwave off grid, that’s a game changer, could possibly cope with just a camping stove then. An idea for you.. The last section of the bed by the rear door could do with being able to lift up on gas struts so you can use to sit up/recline supported. Another thing I’d like is a way of screening off the cab from rear area, for privacy, heat retention, or for stealth when wild camping. Curtains just get in the way and absorb cooking odours, was wondering if it would work with some kind of pull down/pull out roller blind? I must say that I have watched thousands, yes thousands of videos in my research for what van I want and yours are up there with the best. Short but informative and you have a great friendly persona. 👍
@@MamaKim. yes, the off grid mains power does open up some possibility....
The lift up backrest idea could certainly be done. Thank you for thinking of it!
The glass hob/sink top is optional - but they are tempered so unlikely to break
What kind of van is it! A VW?
Hi Kirsten, this is a Trafic - see the main Manhattan video tour for more information about the vehicle. They're excellent - I drive one myself: www.sussexcampervans.com/our-vans/manhattan
DHLF thank you! I live in the Netherlands myself so I can’t buy at your shop, but I get a lot of information and inspiration from your videos! Thank you for that 👍🏻
@@kirstenmc68 many thanks!
Nice campervan
Thanks Ken
