That's a very complicated retrofit, i.e. the rear parcel shelf electric sunshade on the E90. I've read the entire 5 page thread on the E90 forum regarding this retrofit. It is a huge battle to retrofit this electric sunshade, especially if you want to keep the OEM look on the dashboard, with all original buttons and functions.
I would be putting stops on the top left and right to block the arms from extending out fully. Seems like it is overextending itself and unable to come back down

this is beatiful
Where did you find the rear deck with the blind? I cant seem to find anything
Do you have 3 pin plug casing number?
I’d love to know how you end up getting it to fold down easier as I have the same issue where it goes up easily, but won’t go back down by itself.
I’ve had that problem and I just rolled it down myself and I just got the rear windshield tinted
Nice!
Hy...i have the same problem. How did you fix that? On my car Is not going down and is making the same sound..thx
get some special lube for that , its called J-lube. works well. never had a problem in my e90 since then. always a great sliding motion.
❤️❤️❤️
👏👏👏
Maybe don't do it too much, you need to lubricate the sliding rails probably
Tint the windows
Yeah that’s what I did, mine was stuck and I just tinted it instead
