More please! These repair posts are extremely helpful in getting know the components and such. You are so good at what you do. You are a good teacher. Cheers!
Watched everyone of your videos, you are by the far the best repair tech on RUclips. You've inspired me to repair over 5 PS5 PSUs already and helped me with repairing one with low output voltage (same issue with the broken down transistor powering the octo). Please repair the other PSU! Do you also have the part number to that ZD smd diode? I'm stocking up parts since I'm getting into repair as hobby as a result of your videos.
As a good doctor says after treating a patient: next one please. Another way of saying it: let's go for that second source Mr. Toltec ... we will gladly accompany you. All the best.
Thank you so much for doing this video for me, cant wait to get home and watch it lol. Hope you have a use for it in the future, It was a hell of a lightning strike, took out my TV , Washing machine, Mac computer and monitor, and the PS5, luckily it just got the PS on the playstation
I'd like to see your notes posted somewhere. Is it possible to share a digital copy of them by any chance? :) And, thank you for the video, as always a pure pleasure to watch.
Hello, I'm repairing a ps5 power supply ADP-400DR, I had a short on the DAP053T on the first pin and a voltage drop on the second. After I replaced the DAP053T, the short circuit disappeared, but I had no 12v voltage at the output. I probed diode ZD37 it was fine and after removing Q34(704L) I got 12v output and normal voltage at pin 2. I also tested the line going to pin 1 which was shorted and found diode D86( D4) to leak. Since I don't have a single mosfet 704L and would have to wait for it can I put a W4R instead which is also used on the board in other places and if I go to compare it with the 704L it seems the same (2N7002)? What do you think about it? And my second question for the D4 diode is it a BAS416 75V?
@@ToltecMerc Thank you for your reply, it means a lot to me, I ordered the 704 today but it will take some time to arrive, so I will still put the W4R when you have confirmed, thanks again, have a nice day.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that and I'm glad I've helped you with some repairs. The ZD diode is an 8.2V zener. Mouser part# 771-PDZ82B115
Awesome video and great demonstration of troubleshooting skills and knowledge of how it works

I think the W4R would work just fine and yes D4 is a BAS416.
