They could rationalize to share the sheep eating it simultaneously, the sheep could bargain with the lions to not eat it at all and become herbivore (remember Narnia is a magical place), or none of them could eat the sheep and they decide to eat the guy watching all them YOU.

    The #2 solution is not the intended one. It makes it look like you copied this riddle without reading the answer thoroughly. It is clear Bright Side has never read The Chronicles of Narnia before.
    This is a classic game theory problem where the endgame can determine whether the first sheep is eaten.
    Assuming all lions are rational and know that all other lions are also rational:
    If there is 1 lion, then it will obviously just eat the sheep.
    If there are 2 lions, then neither lion will eat the sheep as the other lion will just eat it afterwards.
    If there are 3 lions, then the first lion to get to the sheep will eat it, reducing this down to the “2 lions” scenario, where neither of the 2 remaining lions will try to eat the newly made sheep.
    Continuing down this path of logical reason, for if the number of lions is even, then the sheep will not be eaten. However, if it is odd, one lion will eat the sheep and no other lions will eat the new sheep.
    Because the scenario in this video has 10 lions at the beginning, the sheep will not be eaten, and the 10 lions will stay lions.
    QED

    • @rogerwang21
      @rogerwang21 6 лет назад +1

      If the lions were not aware that if one ate the sheep they would also turn into a sheep, then in the end there would be 8 lions, 1 living sheep, and 2 dead sheep

  • @GTron13
    @GTron13 6 лет назад +1

    Lol my solution for #4 was a lot darker:
    I thought that Michael was the murderer and Jack was the murdered. You technically ARE in isolation if you're 6 feet under and you need both your legs to run a farm, which Michael was going to do but decided not to. I figured the murderer would be in jail so I thought it couldn't have been Jeffery or Benedict because Jeffery planned to make a computer for Benedict next week, and one of the facts said that they had constructed their last computers together. I just assumed the two computers were the same... XD And like the video said, you need both your legs to run a marathon, so it couldn't have been Damian.

  • @zutaraisthebest
    @zutaraisthebest 6 лет назад +4

    The first one is funny because it literally tells you the answer as it's giving the riddle. "Mr. Blue, Mr. Red, and Mr. White, who all want to be the French flag" like,,, he names them in order.

  • @hoganwayland2330
    @hoganwayland2330 6 лет назад

    Number for could also be that Jeffery is the murderer and jack was he one who died. If he’s been dead since the crime then he would most likely be in isolation. Damian ran a marathon( not the murderer). Benedict got equated with jack six months ago (not jacks brother). Micheal didn’t grow up in the city which means he didn’t grow up with jack. So Jeffery killed his brother

The merchant could've also just swam over the river or called someone outside the city and asked someone to pick him up, there are too many ways you could solve this but yeah... they went with the weirdest one imo. It could be that he is no longer because he is dead. Michael can't be the killer because he had been wanting to be a farmer BEFORE moving to the city. Meanwhile Jacks brother is the killer, his brother whom he had grown up with in chicago.
      I legit did a whole grid of possibilities for that one and the only logical conclusion i came to was jeff being the killer, everyone else had reasons as to why they COULDNT be the killer.

    The actual answer to #2 makes sense but not for the reason that you explained. They aren’t not eating the sheep because they “want to stay king of the jungle”- because by that logic they could have many unpredictable reasons for eating it or not and therefore different numbers. The actual reason would be that they know that if they eat a sheep, they’ll definitely be killed by the remaining lions, which is way more likely than starving. So yes, nine lions and one sheep would remain.

    • @jax8668
      @jax8668 5 лет назад

      But what about starvation
      One of the lions would give in sooner or later, and eat the sheep
      This cycle would repeat in the long run, but as the video said, the animals were left unattended for a while, soo yes the animals would remain the same (and alive)

    Okay first of all, this is about the first question, as you can see Mr. White is all the way on the left, Mr. Blue in the middle, Mr. Red is on the right, based on this information, it should be that the man in the red shirt when he takes his jacket off is Mr. White, the man in the middle with a white shirt when his jacket is off has to be Mr. Blue, and Mr. Red is in a blue shirt when his jacket is off unless in this scene they switched places.

    all we know for certain based on the conditions given is that mr red is wearing a white shirt, mr blue is not wearing blue, and mr white is not wearing white. We were only told the shirt colors were contradictory to their names, not that the matched another's name.

    • @ethancheng6734
      @ethancheng6734 4 года назад

      Here’s how to do it.
      Let’s start with blue. Mr blue can’t be wearing a blue shirt, and remember that the white shirt guy said “Yeah mr blue you’re right” so if mr blue is wearing a white shirt, he would be talking to himself. So mr blue can’t be wearing white, so that leaves us with the red shirt, so mr blue is wearing red. For mr white, it can’t be the white or red shirt because mr blue is already taken by the red shirt. So mr white is wearing blue and mr red is wearing white.

      The second box has the car and the third statement is true. I’ll tell you why. The argument states that only one of the three statements can be true.
      If statement 1 is true:
      If statement 1 is true then the other two statements must be false. Only when statement 1 is true, only statement 3 is false. It’s true that if the car is in box one that the car cannot be in box 2 so statement 2 is true. That means the car is not in box 1.
      If statement 2 is true:
      If statement 2 is true then the other two statements must be false. Only when statement 2 is true, statement 3 is also true. If the car is in box 2 then it is not in box 1. That means that statement 2 must be false. The car must be in box 2.
      If statement 3 is true:
      If statement 3 is true then the other two statements must be false. This is the only case in which this term holds true. If it is true that there isn’t a car in box 1, then statement one is false. The car must be in box 2 making statement two false. That means that only statement 3 is true and that the car must be in box 2!

      Explanation:
      Only one sentence is correct. Other two are lies. The 1st box can't have a car inside, because that would mean that the second one is a lie.
      The 2nd box sentence can't be true, because that would be a nonsence (try it). The 3rd sentence is true because:
      1: not in this one(it's false)
      2: in this one (false)
      3: not in the first one(true).(this is thr only one that can be correct, others are false)
      Answer: the car is in box number 2.

    • @Murivati
      @Murivati 6 лет назад

      Evan Vassil Wrong. If the first is true, then the second has to be true. If the second was true, the first and third can not be both wrong. If the first doesn't have it, as a lie, it would make the third sentence true. If the third sentence lied, the first would be true. So in the process of elimination the third is true. But that doesn't mean the car is in that box. If it is true, it is not in the first box. So the 2nd is lying just like the first. In conclusion, the answer is actually the second box.

    The true colours puzzle is even easier then you think... The middle guy gives a hint: mr. blue you're right, which you can also read as that mr. blue is on the right side from the guy in the middle, and since the middle guy cant be white he must be red.. so from left to right you got blue, red, white..
    Also on puzzle #4 you have made a mistake.. you did figure out the answer, as it only asks you to identify the murderer. But the way you did it was wrong. In the end you say you got Michael and Jeffrey left. That Jeffrey is alive is correct. BUT CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG, MICHAEL CAN BE ALIVE ASWELL, AND THE KILLED PERSON COULD BE ONE OF THE 2 MARATHON RUNNERS!
    you can't figure out who the person was that got killed. But you can figure out that the killer wasn't Michael, cause he didnt grew up in a city, but on a farm before he moved to a city, while the 2 brothers spent their youth together in Chicago.
    and #5 was also easy that it could only be box #2
    I didnt found the solution myself on 2 and 3.. just on 1, 4 and 5

    The sheep and lion conclusion is in correct.
    The only answer is no lions and one sheep.
    You posed that the lions are logical. Therefore being that there is no other food source
    available to the lions, in this puzzle, then they will either all die from starvation or they will eat the sheep. Either way you end up with no lions and one sheep.
    Unless, of course, they all eat the sheep together, turn into sheep themselves and graze on the grass.
