Just some history for yall. Chappell has been in the music business for 10 years and has played her fair share of small venues. Yes, opening for Olivia was huge for her, but she didn't come out of nowhere. Pink Pony Club was released 4 years ago. She is blowing up now because hersongs are incredible, funny, quirky, irreverant, passionate and fun. So catchy that one could sing along with the choruses even on first listen. She is one of those very prepared "overnight" successes that you hear about every so often. I truly believe that Kalediscope is a masterpiece that will go done in history
im dead you guys are a hoot. this reminds me of me trying to sing along bc im obsessed and my brother wont stfu and let me perform lol. i do enjoy her slower songs especially california! but not everybody's cup of tea i get it. also fun fact just to be queer, in high school i was in love with my friend named ryleigh and then in college it was kaley so seeing Kaleigh spelled like that was a double stab to my heart while listening to these songs lol its a beautiful name tho
