There’s a mistake in your video - an incredibly cool fella by the name of Jackie Daytona shows up in the middle. He’s just a regular human bartender and has nothing to do with any vampires.
"I gave you those raccoons as a bloody gift!" I love how much Laszlo is like a cat. Honestly, all of the vampires remind me of cats, and Guillermo is just their unfortunate caretaker 😧
My brothers cat left him a gift on the front doormat. 6 mouse heads and one mouse butt. He went to fetch his girlfriend to show her and when he came back the heads were gone and the cat was sucking the end of the tail in like a piece of spaghetti.
I love how completely inconsistent the vampires' powers are. One moment, he's flinging bikers twenty feet, the next he can't break out of a pet enclosure.
For some reason I thought it was because the cage was silver. But I guess it would be unnecessarily expensive for a vet to have cages made of literal silver lol
@@lkcullen1918 i thought the same thing but also that they would most likely dope the animal if it was aggressive but I don’t think they acknowledge this so I’m leaning on yours lol.
Tbf, lore on vampires in general (not exclusive to What We Do in the Shadows), has always been inconsistent since vampires are mythological figures and different cultures varied with how scary they were for their time and how they can be beaten/warded off (which, alas, is the nature of mythology/folklore/fairytales in general). Since WWDitS is a series spoofing vampire lore, the movie and show probably has to deal with the inconsistencies as much as many previous vampire stories had to. That, and probably just because Lazlo sitting in a cage in an Animal Shelter is funny. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lazlo isn’t clever but misses the obvious. Experimenting on Gizmo to complete his transition and Nandor, the himbo knows right away he needs blood. That’s why they are so interesting.
Lazlo's seasons being buddies with Colin Robinson and subsequent surrogate father to the creature that crawled out of the decaying carcass of his dead friend Colin Robinson is what I live for.
The utter absurdity of this character is truly hilarious. Matt Berry pulls off this character flawlessly. That’s why he is such a well-rounded actor. He can be a great dramatic actor. He can be a great comedic actor. He has even proven that he can bring to life some of the most absurd characters there are. Bravo!! 😊
I wasn't into this show much and kinda dissatisfied because of my high expectations from the film but the moment he said ' she speaks the bullshit' I started to see this show in better light.
@@priyachoudhary9896 it's not an adaptation, it's a continuation and expanse of the original idea, which was not even the film but a few bits and pieces of mocumentary style interwies with Viago. 👍😉
I've never seen this show, and I only know the man from the IT Crowd. But it literaly seems like his character from IT crowd turned into a vampire and he keeps doing whatever he was doing then but as a vampire.
The newest season of Toast proves once and for all that Lazlo, Douglas Reynholm and Stephen Toast are the same person Matt Berry is quite possibly the funniest man in a very long time
Despite the satire, still the closest thing to how actual vampires would organize and live. Not mindless beasts but very cultured, antiquated, not prone to spontaneous action or risk but calculated and tremendously bored if not boring, yet with all human complexities multiplied. I love this show. 😸
Can't wait for the new season to drop. Alas, I am so old and forgetful I have to binge watch all the past episodes to get up to speed. Worse things, I suppose. What will Nandor the Relentless do when he finds out his familiar has been sent to England? What will Nadia do when she finds out she has brought a vampire slayer with her?
oh it was so frustrating! i wish nandor would find out, but that he thinks he was stood up and i'm sure he'll take it personally and gadget/gizmo will have lost his life's goal. :-(
All the main cast and guest stars are brilliant but Matt Berry's Laszlo owns this show - his swearing, cadence and whole character make a huge difference.
This group of creatures could literally murder me (and yes, I include Guillermo into the group), and yet here I am, calling them "My precious, dumb, anachronistically funny babies!". This show is a CLASSIC!
Imagine my delight when he turned up narrating the manual handling video at my new job! It was funny in the way training videos often try to be, but rarely are.
Absolutely all of us wives can relate to hating something our husband has in his wardrobe. Her problem is you can't exactly give an evil hat to the Salvation Army...lol omgawd that'd be hilarious.
I'm almost 100 percent certain the guy who plays Wayne the Biker is the guy who plays the head of the Degens from Upcountry in Letterkenny, and he's from Sudbury. I've partied with that dude.
Matt Berry and Kayvan Novak are hilarious, IMO they are core of the show. In polish language core means same as testicle (jądro, just check), but in other meaning, I think that Laszlo would like that how it links to each other :D
They do when arrested for murder of the head of the Vampiric council, the court was made up of the first iteration actors, plus some celebs who wanted a cameo.
In season-one Nadjia, "disassembled"; as different as transforming is from lycanthropy: volume for volume a vampire becomes a number of individual specimen too numerous to count track or contain, Nadjia became rats in that instance, but roaches or snakes, eels or moths, kittens or stoats would be great; turning into smoke, whatever, Hornets.

Gawd I hope he goes into Jackie Daytona mode again at some point.
Exactly! Didn't FX Networks notice the toothpick he has in his mouth? That's obviously how a human bartender looks lmao
Yeah you're right Jackie Daytona just a simple bartender who keeps the street free of bikers and supports his local girls volleyball team
@@cindylesperance3077 if I can see Jackie Daytona one more time I could die happy
Loved Jackie Daytona.
Matt Berry's inflection on any given line reading is legitimately insane, and I love it so much.
Matt Berry is a Gem in any role he plays, What We Do in the Shadows is where he shines
"You want to finish your final Hu-manor-gasm"
He could read out loud the menu from my local takeaway and I would still find it hilarious

Lazlo’s friendship antics with Collin Robinson in the latest season is extra sweet.
In the first seaon Nandor was my favorire but in the latest season Im simply in love with Lazlo

That whole convo Laszlo had with Nadja on why he didn’t want to go back to England was literally so sweet

No, it really isn't
@FX Networks Its misinformation if you don't.
It’s pronounced, “Baaaat!”
You need to fix your thumbnail for this video, it shows regular human bartender Jackie Daytona.
Why so u even ask. No!!!A resounding NO!!! Its not. U must shout “BAT!”
