The Lemon Trees Child of Love. 1993 single charting at #55 in the UK in April 1993. From the album 'Open Book'. Official music video HQ 90s 90's. ohnoitisnathan
I became a father 4 months ago to a beautiful baby girl. This song, which I have not really thought about since 1993 now prickles my eyes. Thank you for the upload.
My son was just five when I first heard this tune and being kept apart from him after splitting from his mum was such a tough time for a young me. Playing this track though always blew away the blues bringing a simultaneous smile and often tears. He's now grown into a fine man and I'm so immensely proud of him and his great outlook, he's my best buddy.
You can certainly tell that it's one of Karl Wallinger's buddies that wrote this. Has that Goodbye Jumbo feel all over it 👍🏻. (Also a bit of an Ian Broudie vibe too).

Just think, that little kiddy is in his late 20's now!
Absolutely cracking tune and a video that's long been unavailable on YT except for an edited version, so kudos for posting!
Totally agree on all fronts
Fab album...it was on repeat for months...:-)
Still a great great tune

Well one of them did quite well for himself didnt he.
I loved the Lemon Trees after seen them supporting It Bites, can't find the album on Spotify though
About time. Nice one
… I seem to spend my life
just waiting for the chorus
'cause the verse is never nearly
good enough…
