I have the exact same Optiplex and I just ordered an M.2 SSD for it. The service document says that there should be a thermal pad under the M.2 slot. I see on yours at 1:00 that it doesn't have one. Have you successfully installed an OS on the M.2 and no issues at all? I have an M.2 heatsink lying around here and I should use it if wouldn't cause any clearance issues under the HDD/ODD caddy.
