Great diorama. I always think creating convincing foliage is very hard to pull off, but you've really nailed it here!

Yeah it's not easy. One thing I learned is variety is key. Nature is so full of variety. Sure its a bit of extra work but definitely worth it. Also moss as a space filler works great as it can plug any gaps very easily.

I see a ton of possibilities with this terrain. Star Wars theme, Battle of Endor. Warhammer 40k, Marines battling Tyranids. Or imagine two companions running with the 3rd or 4th Doctor toward the TARDIS?
Fun ideas and imagination! Great diorama, my friend! 🙂👍

Yeah you can pretty much apply the same techniques for all kinds of cool stuff. Only limit is your imagination haha

Very well done. The amount of detail you put into the diorama is first class. As for the girl, some people just don't have a clue about the world around them.

Hey! New follower here! I just recently stumbled upon your videos, I love everything that has to do with art ,crafting and miniatures! Your channel is exactly what I was looking for, I don't know if you have done any yet but I think a Rainforest would be amazing to recreate. Your idea of a Jungle portrays them almost perfectly, all the details that you add can all be seen and appreciated. Would love to see if you would try your hand in a recreation of a Rainforest, and using resin to make everything look wet!
Can't wait for the next vid!

It's always annoying when the local wild life wants to photobomb your selfie, ha ha ha. An amazing diorama piece, nice technique for doing the tree leaves, hope I remember to call back to this video if I'm ever making trees like that.

Thanks. I get my xps foam online from amazon. I buy it in boxes of 10 or so sheets. Sometimes it's grey and sometimes blur. The colour is irrelevant.

with the dino foot print do you think it would be better to let the plaster semi dry so when you press the foot in the plaster doesnt stick and you can get that good squished between the toes look in the plaster?

I think if you'd allowed the plaster to partially set and maybe wet the T-Rex foot you'd get a cleaner footprint. Maybe, I dunno.

You could look into a laser cutter to do all of your own plants this way. Then you wouldn't be limited to what you can find online, and you could make hundreds of leaves in minutes.

Great video. I have a plan to make jungle diorama and I'm gathering various plastic plants for more than a year. I have same plants as you have and many more. You can find online big leaves of fern which are made to be used as home decoration. They are long up to 50 cm sometimes but they are very detailed and small parts can be cut which looks like small fern leaves. I have one question. I always use only plaster for diorama base, Sculptamold is not available to me in my country. Is Sculptamold stronger than plain plaster, because of paper fibers? I use thin cotton bandage as armature in plaster when I need extra strenght. You can see my dioramas in my channel.

Sounds really cool. I actually use the full size fern tip a lot. You just gotta keep your eyes open and it's amazing what you can find out there

I think the people in that diorama are time-traveling tourists on safari in the Late Cretaceous, and they've wandered way too far from the trail.
