I love how Sonic's sprites (except the one of him dancing at the star post) are just recycled from Sonic 3&K.
Also they added more frames on the grab animation when the police car thing grabs Sonic. (1 frame is original S3K sprite and the rest are edited)

This is literally the only video game adaptation of the Sonic X TV series.
I think the only positive thing I can say about what I've seen here is that I get to hear Mike Pollock (Eggman's voice) gloat about his "math robots" in a completely ernest delivery. Thought that was funny in an unintentional way.
sergeant16bit actually, the sonic X series is taken from sonic adventure 1 and 2. So, the series is actually an adaptation of a game.
That doesn't change the fact that this game is directly based on the TV series. If anything, that makes this product an adaptation of an adaptation.

The rubber stuff is possibly sticky because certain types of rubbery material degrade into sticky nastiness over time. If that's an unused system that's been sitting in stock for a good few years, that's probably the reason. If that's the case, you have years of watching the rubber grips degrade into a more and more goo-like substance to look forward to!

Apparently it’s only their US stores that are closing, and you can still buy stuff online from their website. Online shopping just isn’t as magical, though!
PirateUnicorn UK branches are also going, most are already gone, and the website went down as soon as they went into administration. Canada stores are also looking into being sold off.

The surprising thing is that the L-Max is putting so much emphasis on the fact that it is portable when it was released in 2005, and the latest portable gaming system is the Game Boy Advance.
This is actually one of the HIGHER frame rate games! I remember most games would play at 2-4 FPS.

I HAD THIS, I HAD THIS EXACT THING! THE LEAPSTER L-MAX! I LOVED THAT THING!
I remember without the cartridge there was this automatic drawing thing I think, and you could use stickers in it or whatever. And one day while playing it, I ACCIDENTALLY, discovered how to unlock a secret sticker. It was a derpy mouse that hopped up and down. I still remember how you used it; you opened up the sticker option, and then you spammed the directional pad in all four possible directions, which I believe was done in the order up, left, down, and right. Then you'd hear the "bing" sound, and be capable of placing that derpy mouse, or a non-animated cow.
Also, side note, THAT STARTUP SOUND! THE MEMORIES EEEEP
Basically, I had a *great* time with this thing.
*I think I still have it somewhere... I wonder if it'd be even slightly entertaining still...*

I like how Sonic's animation sprites are both a mix of Sonic 3 sprites, and Sonic Advanced sprites, but slightly more stylized for Sonic 3.

I like how they got the actual cast from the Dub of Sonic X to do this.... well, a grand total of THREE of the cast, but still, all of the voices were actually from the dubbed cartoon version that kids would've been watching back then. Classy Leapster, classy.

I remember collecting all the rings for each level gave you a chaos emerald, and it was such a chore to find all of them cuz some were in some very inconspicuous places lol.
