I buy gold and other assets over time, and then buy more as price and interest allow. If you want to know more about buying gold coins, that is my primary focus here. Cheers!

A little tip for online retail buying if you're active duty/ veteran/ retired or first responder. Get in touch with their customer service and ask about discounts. I buy a lot from JM Bullion because they sell to military and veterans at the "as low as" price for any quantity.
I do the same
I just checked JM and SD. For a 1/10 oz gold Eagle. SD was cheaper. Shop before you buy, I’m a veteran and won’t buy just because they offer a discount.
@edwardhubbard9769 absolutely agree. Similarly, I can get a single new sunshine mintmark one oz silver buffalo round from JM cheaper than I can get an "any mint any condition" round from SD (unless I buy 100 from them)
SD’s credit card price is $30 less than JM’s but SD takes forever to ship. Great Lakes Coin’s price is $20 less than SD’s and if I order before 2pm, my parcel is shipped the same day. We aren’t talking like SD sending you the tracking number and actually putting it in the mail 4 days later. We are talking picked up by the carrier the same day.
@@tomtharos4440 good info…. Thanks !!!
Gold is cheap in the US for now. I live in Central America. Gold is very expensive to buy and to store where I live. They only pay spot for the gold when you sell, no matter what coin or bar you have. Many dealers pay less than spot. You have to be careful who you deal with. You cant trust anyone. As time goes on this issue will become more wide spread in the US also. We are headed for hyperinflation. You need a meaningful stash of gold that you feel you can hoard long enough for this hyperinflation cycle to pass. When the dust settles the hope is that you will have enough value there that you can start over again.
Are Krugs and Onzas the way to go there?
@@2is1gold yes
If you aren’t having fun buying physical precious metals you’re doing it wrong. 😎
Agreed!
Hi, my name is Sabbat and I'm a gold addict.
Hallo Sabbat. Welcome.
Lol that’s funny
I've said this before but it's worth repeating, fear leads to bad decision making. I'd rather have a clear mind when making decisions involving my money than feel rushed to run out and buy anything. Thanks as always for the level-headed take
Absolutely. Cheers!
Fear and greed, what else is there to a decision?
Does euphoria lead to bad decision making?
@@dandelioncorsage Usually. Just look at the divorce rate for solid proof. 😉
Don't feel rushed or fear. It's a good 'insurance" and always has/ always will be worth more and grow in value over paper money. You can always turn it back into paper later on
Anything that’s not priced for its numismatic value or limited mintage value will very likely be sold by us (or some future generation) at spot price. That means 2 things: Purchase coins/bars/etc at lowest premium possible and hold for the long term.

I have my coffee and I’m ready for the video!!
☕️
I've only been stacking for a short time but what I have learned and this is purely my opinion...but many stackers put WAY too much premium into design etc. When you resell you shouldn't expect anything more than spot no matter what design is on it unless it somehow has been AUTHENTICATED to be worth x% more premium by way of previous sales/auctions etc.
Just shared this with my wife. Thanks for your time and content.
Just found this channel today.
Fabulous information! Thank you for solid advice. Comparing yourself to anyone else (in just about any manner) is a mistake. And yes, the weird yellow can be tempting…
Always love your transpariency and self awareness. Thanks for sharing...
Cheers!
Still 1/4 oz. Try to anyways. Every couple months. Great show again !! You guys are doing awesome!!
Tip number 4 was awesome! Very wise my friend!!!
Most online dealers charge the 4.712% sales tax for shipments to Hawaii. Were it not for the couple of places I found that bypass that charge, I would have zero gold today. HUGE consideration for me.
aloha, please share, stu
@stuscolnik Hero Bullion, based out of Texas, is the one I buy from almost exclusively. With very good premiums and great deals on occasion, I've purchased enough from them to believe they are very trustworthy. Aloha.
Absolutely right! One of the first things you learn in numismatics is that "It pays really well to know your coins", and Im sure it applies to bullion too.
Your coins are exponentially harder to know. There’s no reason not to know bullion. Cheers!
I appreciate the information without the world ending fearmongering. Grateful for it!
🤜🤛
Timing can be important. I watch Perth Mint every day (as an Aussie!). They sometimes release piedforte 2oz silver coins for less or same as spot price of silver. I’ve bought the last 3 years running and snagged a bargain as they are collectable without the premium to match. Patience is the key and persistence. And … have a goal!
I love gold. What's there to make fun of or tease? I invest also, but instead of having a fancy car, or eating fancy food. I have a collection of shiny coins.
This is the way. 🤜🤛
Same here. I've always lived below my means, saved religiously, worked hard, spent carefully, and invested wisely. My depression era mom taught me this.
To this, I added 'find a great spouse and stick with them for life'. My needs are simple, our wealth has grown nicely, and if I want to put $300k or so into PMs,
there's no one stopping me. My wife isn't into metals but she knows that I am, so doesn't object. Also, we have a his, hers, and ours money system, so how
I spend / invest my money is my business. I think that she'll approve of all this once it becomes a lot more clear to her that buying PMs was a very wise move.
That's what happened with our retirement planning but it took a few of her friends moaning about going back to work from retirement to convince her that not
everyone plans well for retirement. 🙂
@@edb3877 My stack is much much smaller. But good on you. and best of luck.
I picked up first silver recently since February. That was fun. A cool 50 Oz of rounds. I concentrated on ammo this year
I don’t know why, but they have speeded up you voice x 2. Love your channel!
Great video mate! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks - you too!
Best advise ever about buying gold and silver. So much common sense! One of the best channels around here.Thank you.
Thanks!
Well done!
The "Other people's fears" point is very important.
Thanks 🤜🤛
Good comment…very good point 2 is 1
I ordered one of the Pamp Suisse Lunar dragons bars recently, cool design and It's currently in the "never want to sell" category. May get another when I can in order to justify keeping one. Curious to see what the Perth Dragon will look like if I haven't already seen it.
Great vids 👍👍👍. I always buy what I like. And I do like the lunar dragons👍. Just subscribed!!!
Thanks!
Thanks for the tips. I've just gotten to the point where I'm buying precious metals. Most of my portfolio is brass, and I've got a few assets, like PPE and such
My one tip on purchasing gold or silver it doesn't matter what the amount is I like to give it a couple two three days to make sure that's really what I want to do
You always have the coolest accoutrement!!
🙇
I love your vids. Very interesting and simple. Can any one on here tell me where or who is the best dealer to buy from in the uk?
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
...immer wieder super ehrlichen Videos 👍thank you
"Hades sitting on a toilet" 😂
Keep doing what you are doing the way you are doing it! 😂
😄
Another great show 😊
Thanks!
Because of 2 is 1, I can make long term decisions on gold and silver that isn’t rushed. Very educational.
🤜🤛
Still here, never thought of the "fun" angle, thanx.
My tip 9:30 💛 gift it little by little and all the time💛 lots of fine-print benefits for later on, jus’ sayin’ ☺️
Number 5 for sure....just enjoy it!
🤜🤛
Great video brother thanks for the info have a great weekend 🥃🥃🥃🥃
Thanks Nate. You too!
Good stuff.
🤜🤛
I just bought the Pamp silver dragon bar. I really thought hard about it since 1 oz of silver for $50. (I bought 5). I knew the year of the dragon was going to get me, oh well. The lunar dragon will be next, lol. Overall, i stick to the plan, buffalo's, and eagles. Great video, like always.
Thanks!
Another great video🎉. I always love how you relate back to your purchases over time. Reminds me of my first 2 ounces of yellow three years ago. Damn, was I nervous. Sweaty palms, having to let go of all the fiat, nervous walking out of the store for some robber to jump us. 😂. Our local store: It’s a first run coin store big, top in the country and 30 years in the business. Here I was was with a Digital calliper, no less to measure the width of the maple coin. 😅😅. They must have been rolling their eyes. Nowadays, it’s a little more straightforward, in, pick the coin, hit the scales and then the XRF and then out of the store..... oh my. Wonderful memories. I hope everyone has a fantastic day!
Have a good weekend!
Lol. Remember those daysHappened to me. Cried when i scratched it. Smh.
Love the story about your 1st w coins. When I quit using a safe deposit box, I put $60k worth of gold in my jeans pockets,
walked out of the CU, and no one knew I had it. Easy peasy. And that was when gold was under $1500 an oz. 😀
It is funny that you posted this video today. I have started to the cull the gloom and doom channels I been watching (financial and general interest).
That’s good for the soul!
@@2is1gold Yes, it is. Constantly being fed gloom and doom creates an inevitable downward spiral. If that goes on long enough, it can ruin a persons' life.
I remember buying the Istanbul gold grams for $25 each back in 09ish. Now they are $70.
Recognition of how influence effects you or those around you can really change up how you take on everyday occurrences. How you take action on that really says more.
Knowing is half the battle as they say.
Pushing 90K! Thanks 2!
Thanks!
Selling is much harder. Please talk more about sell scenarios. Especially in bad economic periods. And how different choice of coin, bar, producer could make it easier and motivate premiums (?).
I stack for weight and worth. 1/4gold coins. ASE’s, Maples and on sale Brits. I still stack my 10oz bars and sometimes I’ll buy some unique rounds that I think is really cool too, at a good price of course. Thanks. Good vid
Had to drive 130 miles to a wedding this weekend. Loaded up the car with wife and kids dogs and the gold. Everything precious
Amen to that. A good woman is THE best thing that can happen to a man in this life. I married my high school sweetheart, graduated from college, had 2 kids,
bought 4 homes and sold 3 of them, had a great career, and here we are 54 years later still livin' and lovin' like we always have. What an huge blessing she is!
@@edb3877 I’m behind You at 42 years together. Met her at church , 3 days later engaged, she made me go back and do my last year at Juilliard , didn’t even stay for graduation. 51 years playing in motion picture studios. Three great kids. The Lord has been gracious!!!
@@mf9881 Sounds like a quick romance and marriage. My girlfriend and I went slower than this, dating for a year, going steady for a year, and being engaged for a year before getting married. It's not that we both weren't "eager", just that we had other obligations to wait a bit. Yes, He has, and it's just a wonder to me how He
can be so gracious to people, especially these days with all manner of bad things going on. I feel very humble and grateful for the many gifts that have been
showered down upon us. Not sure that I deserve all these gifts but there's no way I'm not accepting them! 🙂
Keep rockin
🤘
No tips… your item placement is visual stunning. 🙂
thanks for the tips. Even though I've been stacking for more than a year, beginner videos like these remind me to stay within the basic guidelines and not stray off course and buy stupid things. Also, thanks for the heads up on the up-coming Lunar Dragon coins. Would love to get one! 👍
Another Brilliant video 2is1! You're my favourite PM RUclipsr. I would love to hear more about your other investments.
Thank you!
I always buy the best deal...for me, 10 gram/1/4 OZ Gold. and silver on sale.
Headed to a coin show today. Not sure what to expect. Probably more numismatic than stackable there but hoping to pick up a piece of gold.
Good luck!
I like that you encourage people to look through the bs.
🤜🤛
Only reason I don't buy high relief silver rounds is because of the extra effort you need to make that premium back, and you probably won't even make extra. The only profit you could possibly make from these ultra high premium coins, is the difference in spot price from the day you purchased to the day you sold, that is if you could find someone that will buy the premium you paid in the first place!
I'll admit it. I was dancing during the outro music. 👍💪🙏🕺💃
Ha!
I always wonder if 2 is 1 is trying to tell us something when he puts the Alexandre Dumas book in the background. Makes me think of Shawshank redemption and wondering if he's just trying to hint I'm a Dum-ass for buying gold! 😂
Ha!
You are an artist.
🙇
When is SD bullion going to get the lunar year of the dragon coins? We can’t buy from the mint and I don’t want to buy from that Hong Kong company.
Excellent shit.
(And my version of "investment" still stands)
:)
🤜🤛
Really needed this. Some purchases don’t make a much sense. But happy with my recent good libertad purchase. Premium just over an eagel. But what a beauty.
Nice!
My lcs said there isn't much interest in the gold libertad, but the silver is going crazy. He had a 2017 1/4 proof for $570 kind of wish I pulled the trigger.
Maybe less interest yes. But way less inventory. Specially on gold. And gold proof. $570 is cheap for a proof libertad.
I just think Theyre beautiful. And keep me from buying a little convertible.
Seems like Kitco and SD Bullion spot prices never agree with each other. Kitco articles quote futures. How about the dangers of buying when you're euphoric?
Tip - Dont buy wooden nickles.
Don't buy fake ones, either...
I am diversifying my portfolio. Two more dirt bikes in the shed…. Somehow I think they will keep costing me money and no one will pay what they are worth to me? Lol but it’s not a Daffy Duck coin. 😅
Watching channels like this and Whytecross numismatics and other plain speaking creators helps because we get a lot of noise from gurus, pulling us in one direction or the other with no benefit.
🤜🤛
Appreciate your content, Mr. Jones. Agree with a lot of what you shared and appreciate the education.
Agree that SD Bullion is pretty straightforward and transparent in sales, which is always great.
Have to disagree completely with their marketing on RUclips. It is starkly different from their sales process. There is a reason they are renting your sane and reasoned approach to reach the audience you typically attract. Granted, talking about gold and silver unfortunately draws a few knuckleheads no matter the creators beat intentions and efforts. To those, I say "hi" in advance as you flame me for speaking ill of your fear mongering saint. To be extra clear, Mr. Jones is not the fear monger.
Ha. Are you calling me a cooler? 😄
@@2is1gold I am not sure what that means. If it is something positive, then yes, yes I am calling you a cooler. :)
I already picked up roll of silver dragons 🐉
If you love "weird stuff" and want that Scrooge McDuck coin, you can buy it in silver. I've been known to buy "weird coins" just because I like a character on them. So I buy them in silver instead. It's not the end of the world if I'll spend an extra $10-$20 on a silver coin because I like the design. Bit harder to justify if you're spending an extra $700 on the gold version...
Yeah, makes sense here and there. Cheers!
the prices of 24k karat gold is always higher in value than the rest, i guess its due to it's purity.
Yeah, that's why
Bullion by post and the gold bullion company👍
If I’m looking to buy the 2024 lunar dragon where do I order it?
Nobody has the yet. They hit soon.
Investing in gold or silver is a good idea 👍 but there is one catch. In our modern world, the gold and silver market is overflowing with counterfeit coins and bars from Turkey and China. I know one pensioner who bought silver bars and gold coins at a pawnshop. After 8 years, he found out that all he had bought was silver-plated and gold plated copper. The fakes were of very high quality. All these coins with beautiful designs and beautiful packaging need to be checked for authenticity 🙂
Starting out with fractional gold /silver its what i can afford.
🤜🤛
Tip: buy companies that lend money to Goldminers and get paid back in gold. (TFPM / OR)
Great video. If I buy something purely out of want, it'll be in silver, and I do precious little of this - pun intended. Being in the NE United States, I stick to the most recognizable US and Canada coins for gold. For silver, it's the same but I'll do 1oz rounds and 5oz bars as well. I want liquidity always and I never figure on getting more than spot at the sale. And yeah, I expect to supplement my monthly incomes from my stack when I retire for off-the-books increases to monthly budget and spending money. I am not a collector and refuse all numismatic premiums. Because it's affordable, I will be collecting the new silver "Commander" series from SDB That's my only "just for fun" outlet. I also splurged on some of the 2oz Awakening series, because I love the theme of them, but only the ones I really love the designs of. Three of them are somewhat "ugly" to me so I left those designs behind.
Looks like you have a good plan. 🤜🤛
If the price of a new one ounce gold eagle is the same as a pre-33 double eagle, is there any reason to choose one over the other?
If I recall correctly, the pre-33 double eagles are 0.9675oz of actual gold. So, there is less gold but more numismatic premium. If you are selling on melt value, they are less attractive. If you are selling on collector/recognition, they are more attractive.
Sure...that is a nice stack of gold you have there....but the real flex is that pelican case....those things are expensive!
Ha! I’m a bit of a case addict too.
2 different coins I would love to own are Chinese Gold and Russian or Soviet Coins. Paradox is good for a laugh.
Also some people complain about the cost of gold v silver. So I also have 10 coins of 1/10 ounces. Look like cent coins and much more manageable when I want to use them.
I'd like to have some gold dimes.
I agree. If you’re in a certain camp, you would like to own some Russian and Chinese gold. But I don’t see any Russian bullion. Their coins would look pretty amazing l bet. Oh well. Stick with the Pandas.🐼
Good tips! I stack silver at a constant rate as part of my savings plan. I prefer quality over quantity, so I primarily stack sovereigns and "junk", although I am roped occasionally into buying generic rounds or bars if the premiums are low enough.
I hope someday to convert some or all of this to gold whenever the GSR becomes more favorable.
Cheers!
🤜🤛
I gotta have one of those gold “Hades Sitting on a Toilet!” 😂
Do they have it in reverse proof? 😀
Nope, but there IS a reverse poop version! 🤣
😄
As of right now, britannias have lower premiums across the board compared to even maples
They were until recently, and I'll still take a CML over a Britannia if I can find them for the same price. (Britannias are still great, though.)
@@2is1gold yeah, in my opinion maples are much prettier
My favorite is the bonus tip. Number 5, Enjoy it. Which I do, maybe a little too much. Ha!

It’s a Rockstead Higo II
I just wish the endorphin rush after each purchase would last longer.

Thanks for #5 tho. That has helped me NOT FIXATE on #4.

Lots of echo in your audio.
Me and my LCS owner was having a conversation today and he thinks they will make metals illegal again because he thinks it will go digital and they don't want people bartering with it,so hopefully we aren't buying a bunch of metal that we won't be able to do anything with without a huge tax.... hopefully it's not all just a waste of time and money. 🥃
The US govt once tried making alcohol illegal. It did not work.
Tip #5 - invest in a reliable precious metal tester ... Vice #1 - and then there are those Gold/Silver Ultra High Reliefs the mint puts out every other year ... oh well!
🤜🤛
Just make a budget and stick to it. There's always more. Never let the FOMO win.
Right now you can pre order your 2024 Gold Eagles...😆 You can pay a little more, and wait a little longer.
That is weird...🤣🤣😂 I still love your greek god silver coins. I always enjoy seeing them.
Ha, there’s always a way to pay more!
Hero been trippin' lately they gettin' whipped this next 3 months 😂
No. 3, Don't buy weird stuff...do Zombucks count?! My grandsons love them.
For silver, my local shops will give one price for just about anything other than ASEs. I know that going in so if I wanted zombucks rather than any other round, it would just come down to price. If I had grandkids and they liked them, it would be worth it to me. Cheers!
My LCS has a price for ASE, a price for other sovereign silver coins, and a price for rounds@@2is1gold
21, what about the fear of fearing these coins will go up in price next year, and you're afraid to pay more next year and therefor you wanna buy as much as you can this year? is that a Legit fear ? :)
That’s a great definition of FOMO.
Theres no fear in buying gold. Its a no brainer
