You should change the downstream one with it also it does make a difference on these engines. Ideally you would do injectors & both O2 sensors together it looks like yours may be running lean by the colour of the sensor
I’d definitely change both if it was mine. I fix what my clients need and suggest things. Not sure if they could afford to change the one that wasn’t needed.
@equalizedsoundautorepair48 did you wind up having to change the rear. These codes are indicative of a bad cat and I would think either it's bad or the rear o2 is as opposed to the front o2
I got a p2097 on my 14 Cadillac ATS. Dealership changed 02 oxygen sensor, code still came back after 30 minutes of driving. Any idea what the next step is? Mechanic doesn't think its the cat converter.
It could be bad gas, Cadillac most of them require premium fuel. Definitely never use regular unleaded that could be the problem. I'd drive it until the gas is almost gone. Then fill it up with premium and use some fuel injection cleaner.
@@equalizedsoundautorepair48 thank you for the reply! My light turned off today the check engine light. Mechanic thinks it was bad premium gas. I only put premium. Hopefully the light stays off...
You have a 50/50 chance 02 sensors or cat. Start cheap and work your way up. I have 4 different scanners pray it's not you cat. $60 for a sensor $300 to $900 for a Catalytic Converter. After changing the sensor no more engine light. Hope this helps.
This is my second-favorite video for When Doves Cry. Thanks.
Thanks my guy one of my favorite greatest hits. ❤️ I got a copyright for the music anyway I should have let it just play lol!

@UkrainianPunk180 no problem my guy. I'm glad your car is ok. Add some fuel injection cleaner as well it will help also.
@@equalizedsoundautorepair48 which brand of fuel cleaner do you recommend? I live in Canada options are sparse hahaha
@@equalizedsoundautorepair48 the code ended up coming back unfortunately with a loss of power. Back to the drawing board it seems.....
How did you pinpoint the issue to be the sensor and not the cat? What scanner are you using?

Did this fix the issue?
Yes it did my guy. Check engine light is off. Scanner called for bank 1, hopefully this helps you.
@@equalizedsoundautorepair48which scanner? Tech 2 or simple obd2?
@JonnyAbs-0 Yes a simple obd2 will work for this. I have a few different kinds. Code was the same on both.
Better off without the music when your just trying see what doing, never got to the end.
