  • A former pub chef was jailed for at least 20 years for the murder of his missing ex-partner.
Darren Osment, now 41, is believed to have strangled Claire Holland during a drunken argument.
The mother of four, then aged 32, was last seen after she left a Bristol city centre pub in 2012. Her body has never been found.
Osment admitted killing her in a 999 call in 2019 but later retracted his statement.
He was later recorded on camera by an undercover police officer confessing to killing.
Osment denied murder but was convicted by a jury following a two-month-long trial at Bristol Crown Court.
The judge, Mrs Justice Cutts, passed a life sentence with a minimum term of 20 years and told him: "You have shown not a shred of remorse."
She added: "For Claire's family's sake and for the sake of your child, I urge you for once to stand up to what you have done in the very near future and to disclose what you did and where her body might be found so that she may be laid to rest."
