Great game - and glad to know I will always be your first fan boy to show up and say “hi!” Congrats on the win and look forward to another fun session soon!
6:16 check call any river? I mean there are some bad river cards like a Q, K, 8, 9 club...I would say a safe river and/or evaluate based on bet sizing from villian :)
I think the answer is to check it back tbh. It sucks, you're gonna miss value sometimes, but it's comes down to the player your villain is too. Are they going to call with worse? You know now they will, but in the future you've gotta adjust river value plays to villain image as well. Idk if you got a read on that guy in the big aces hand, but in the future if you don't have the read that you can be called by worse I'd check it back and accept I'm missing value sometimes, winning a lot of the time and minimizing losses the rest of the time. Good vlog so far dude, hope to play at your table sometime this summer!
Yeah it’s one of those spots that in love play are just terrifying because most people aren’t calling with worse. After thinking about this one and posting it on forums I think I like my jam. Like you mentioned though, hugely dependent on the villain’s image and play style. With less than a pot size jam on River I think it just must be done even though it’s terrifying haha
Another great episode! Definately need less giant puffy jacket sleeve in the screen. 😂 I really feel like ep#5 has gotten so many views because of the awesome scenery on your intro drive to the casino. So yeah, let's see more of that.
Planning to play some at Bally's soon. What are there stakes like? Do they have 1/2 as well as 1/3? I imagine there's a 5/10 table too? Do you like it there?
Yeah I like it there, definitely a home vibe… it actually usually only has 1/3 and some PLO8 running. Match the stack game so on weekends they play like 2/5. Monarch is we’re you would have to go to play 2/5 and up tbh
Nice run on that session the snap call with only a pair of nines is weird seemed like he was trying to rep a set at least on that board don’t think I would’ve played that much differently than you did
I think you should be betting larger with KQ even 5 ways. At low stakes especially, the same strong draws will call either way, but a lot of the weaker hands will fold
the huge pot, on river you are unsure due to "I'm not sure what could call an allin shove" Considering the texture of the game, and this opponent specifically (lots of preflop raising and calling) I would absolutely shove the river Had he made a hand he would likely have bet it, but his type also love to be The Sheriff and make huge hero calls on river bets If he has me, he has me, but I still say it is an EV positive play in this exact scenario and player
You are 100% correct, in hindsight this is an easy all in for those reasons plus it was less than pot. Those were my thoughts in the moment which were definitely clouded by the some nervousness and the size of the pot. I appreciate the comment !
That big Aces hand, can't he have overpairs, like 10s, Js, Qs? I assume he's 4btting Kings pre, maybe 4betting Qs, maybe. .. But as far as what's worse that could call a big river jam, those seem reasonable.
I don’t think you played the AA hand poorly, if you were bluffing you have to jam that river. If you don’t feel like you have to be balanced then I prolly would’ve went 300-400 for value (getting top pair or 10’s/JJ’s to call) but you got that with an all in anyway. MAX VALUE!!!
I think maybe like 33% - 50% would have been better than what I did. Going 5 ways even with top pair is not comfortable tbh… generally you can bet with less with more fold equity bc of the added pressure of the other players and at the same time pots are built faster with more people putting money in the pot. Definitely understand where you are coming from though
@@JustinTimePoker if you think about what wins the most money long term in multi way spots like this in small stakes live its just piling the money in quick. People wont really be exploting you on unfavorable turns, you can play face up defensive and be fine.
Depends on how good you think the other guys are tho for sure...vs good regs I dont mind the % you used or mentioned just now...vs fish I prefer to keep betting until a bad card comes
In your AA hand, your opponent bet, and you 3-bet. After your opponent calls, his range is probably wider than your 3-betting range (it is a capped range, but wider) because you are 350BB deep. The flop and runout definitely favor his range. That said, you had aces. On the river, I might bet small to try to get value from QQ, JJ, TT, and A9 or some other non-believing 9. If he shoves, you can reliably fold. As played, you (almost always) are getting called by better. T9 was a horrible call--but some dudes always put you on AK.
I think its cool they have a nice no-limit game there on Rocky Mountain High! Good job man!
O yeah it’s pretty epic! Thanks man !
Well done, good vlog.
Thank you 🙏
I used to play there during the Golden Gate days
Ahh back in the good ole days
Great game - and glad to know I will always be your first fan boy to show up and say “hi!” Congrats on the win and look forward to another fun session soon!

Good vibes on this vid
Ty sir 😤
Jam!
That’s what I’m saying !
When is next video dropping?
Not till next week bruh 🥲
I think he called thinking you had AK, instead you kicked him in the nuts with AA. Nice win.
I thought the same thing, idk if I have the balls to bet 700 on the river with A high haha
Woah this is so epic style !
No you
Congratulations on the win.
Thanks!
Another great and unique and fun poker vlogger added to my viewing collection!

Yeah the puffy jack will away for sure, that was a complete oversight. I agree next video will have some scenery 😤
Nice win man!
Thanks man!
Would be nice to have an estimated stack size during each hand. Would help out a lot :)
That’s a great idea I’ll try to add that to the next video
Slam dunk bet with aces

@@JustinTimePoker Thanks for the response bro, might see ya around up there. Good luck!
Anywhere from 450 to jam seems good, never check AA hand
Great session!! I've only played at Bally's twice and I want to go more nice poker room, great staff awesome cash games!!!
Yeah that place rocks, good luck over there !
Idk if I do much different in that big pot. For me it comes down to opponent’s competency
Nice run on that session the snap call with only a pair of nines is weird seemed like he was trying to rep a set at least on that board don’t think I would’ve played that much differently than you did
Yeah I was so confused when I won haha

You rock 👍🏻
Thanks mom
You still playing? what game is this? buyin/hold em?
WOW that dude was way out of line telling what he folded.
For real

KQ off hand, IMO should be raising that turn. Especially out of position
So bally's is comfortable with the poker vlogging ay? Interesting.....

Yeah that’s actually a great point, TT-QQ seem like the most reasonable hands. I think it was the sheer amount of BBs going in that had me worried.
Haha definitely correct man MAX VALUE
Why ballys when all the action is at monarch??
They don’t let me film over there bruh
@@JustinTimePoker ah ya makes sense
also with aces hand yeah maybe a little bit over play but honestly you played the man at that point in a way.
Honestly true that
I think the jam is good against that kind of player
Yeah I do as well now adays
KQ needs to start building the pot, Start charging worse Kx and draws...so 75% seems best, followed by small, check is last

Yeah super weird hand all things considered. Glad it worked out in my favor haha
k107 flop at least bet half pot, I get it's 5 way, but you are pricing in bottom pair. no one is folding a gutter ball for 12 dollars.
I agree with you ✅
