Agree, EVERY gaming headset is blue and red or just flat black... Black and Yellow doesn't make me think of bees like some reviewers, looks sleek to me.
I don’t mind it, but I think a light blue or just back would be more versatile, my rgb on my keyboard and mouse is cotton candy so yellow kinda flashes with it
I was on the fence between this or a stand-alone set / mod mic combo but went with these because of the good reviews and just for a more seamless experience
I'm no fan of yellow, but I think they actually look decent on the PC38X. If I was designing this headset, I would have chosen a different colour combination, but I think Drop's choice here is fresh.
The PC37x is my number 1 recommendation if someone asks me what headset they should get. I hope that they sell this headset's ear cushions/pads separately because I heard that they really trap bass better than the velvet pads on the 37x.
If you want the convince of a Mic and ability to run off a ps4 controller easily pick these. If your able to get a external Mic then the hd58x is a good choice not a huge upgrade from these tho. For gaming I would also look at akg k702.
@@fnpleo avoid the dt990. hd58x is nice. i personally run a fidelio x2hr and they are very nice. I wouldn't get the k702. if you don't want an amp, get the fidelio x2hr. they take a bass eq extremely well and the sub bass is incredible in movies, anime, or even gaming. I wouldn't recommend the bass eq for gaming though, so i would turn it off. It runs for about 150 on amazon. If you get amp: hd58x. If you don't get amp: Fidelio x2hr
U could go with the HD58x without an amp and see if its enough for you or not, but to get the most of that $170 you do need an amp to get that full experiment, Hd58x is better than the dt990 by a small difference. From what the reviews are saying comparing the hd58x with this(PC38X) there's not that much but still like with the dt990 the hd58x is better than both of them and I'd recommend it for you cuz you already have an external mic. Since you're saying you have the a40 I believe they do come with their own amp right? they would be good with the hd58x it'll give you a decent boost. If not, you could always get a small adapter amp like the g3 that will deliver good for a low price but if you have the money get a better amp for better experience.
I love your qualification of this product. I've had this product for a little over a year, and enjoyed it a lot plugged straight into my motherboard. The cables set it comes with let me use it flawlessly and conveniently across my work laptop and desktop PC. Recently I kind of felt that they didn't get loud enough...but to be exact, they were loud enough for me BUT I didn't feel like I had headroom when increasing for the volume for quiet output even if all volumes were maxed. This got me to looking at an external DAC/amp and let me say this: getting the GSX1000 is a game changer when paired with this headset.
New PC gamer here. I'm going to be using a controller on my PC for the new Call of Duty. Do I enable the Windows Sonic/Dolby Atmos on my PC to get the directional audio in-game?
I just ordered these for my sons birthday. I have been trying to find a case they would fit in for when he puts them in his backpack to game on the go. Do you have a rec for that? Thanks! Great informative video.
i like that yellow on the pc38x, but it seems like everyone else dislikes it. That shade of yellow is a unique color which wasnt seen on any other mainstream headset before and in my opinion it just adds character to the headset :)
The pc37x is pretty much a clone of the game zero. Personaly, i think that the pc37x to the pc38x isnt worth it. I bought the pc38x but im upgrading from an almost broken pair of gsp 300. What would you say are the best headphones/headset to get for FPS games like apex, COD, CSGO and valorant? I'm twisted between getting the Sennheiser PC38X, AKG K712 pro, Sennheiser HD599, Beyer Dynamic TYGR 300R or the more expensive Beyer Dynamic DT1990 pro. Hope you could help me decide ;)
A few questions. 1. About the sound, when you play a game like CS:GO, can you hear the people around you, for example if someone comes from the right direction, you hear the ONLY on the right direction? (Like in Surround Sound, that you know from which direction the enemy comes) 2. Do those have a sidetone? (You hear yourself through the mic when you speak)
I would love a comparison between the audiotechnica ad700x vs these in terms of competitive fps gaming. I still haven't found a reason to switch from my ad700x yet.
ad700x are just really good for comp gaming plain and simple. Keep it up, i think it's a great headset for gaming. Now for music it isn't my style. but that is preference.
It's always a bonus if a headset performs well outside its intended purpose, but I personally won't judge a gaming headset in any area outside of gaming.
Hey BT, could you help me? I'm looking for a keyboard and I have no idea what to get! There is so many size, switches, keycaps, hotswappable, macro, media control keyboards and I'm so confused.
I have a problem with it... I got it yesterday and I have played the same game as you did (Valorant) and I have a problem with the surround, I cant place where the enemies are or hear footsteps unlike my last headphones. any one know how to fix it?
Hey BT! Would this be an upgrade from the Audio Technica ATH m50xBt? I'm looking for the best audio for video games and competitiveness. Price is not much of an issue.
Brandon Taylor okay! But does the sound quality on the blackshark compare at all? And in the review of the HD560S can you talk about how they are on games?
Do not get arctis. They are bad audio quality. If you want wireless, just don't get wireless. It isn't that good on headphones yet. I recommend instead you get fidelio x2hr, hd58x, or the pc38x.
Open back have a larger sound stage and breathes easier and closed gives more bass and sound isolation. I have the 1990 pros and HAD the 1770 pros and I had to return the 1770 becuase the high end feels like you being stabbed in the head with an ice pick. Heard it was the same way with the 770
I just got the pc37x to replace my CM mh752. When I plugged in my new pc37x, the mic sound is practically nonexistent, whereas the mh752 (USB) sounded amazing. What can I do to make my pc37x mic audible? Do I need to get an external sound card? If so, what do you suggest?
Which have you have you liked better? I myself am upgrading from cloud core that I bought in 2016(love that thing) to the mh752, is it a noteworthy upgrade u think?
Anyone have ideas or examples for a compatible case for storage/travel? I really love these things and don't want anything bad to happen from them bouncing around against other things in my backpack.
You plug it into the controller. I like that it has a volume wheel, so you don't have to adjust the volume on the console itself. I don't own 'em, but I'm considering them just for that alone over other wired open backs like the TYGR 300 R.
