Everyone hating on Tyler Guyton pick were also hating on Tyler, Smith pick, and when they picked Travis Frederick, so you all just need to relax.
Same thing with Micah and Zack Martin.

The Cowboys need solid picks ...not necessarily future Hall of Fame guys ... just no reaches that end up as bust.
Don't waste the extra pick on trading up for a RB recovering from an injured MCL... use it for an extra OL guy

Tyler Guyton was a great pick for Dallas's Oline replacement rebuild!We need a good pass blocking blitz protection guy,And a good O-line to open holes for a Rb to run behind .Too get our running game back.Relax one player at a time.I bet Jimmy Johnson has had a say in the pic,or pics coming up i bet,LOL!🤔🤷♂️😃👍

Think it was excellent. They got the OL player that can start at the end of the round. They added a 3rd round pick where it's deep with what DAL needs.
If they trade up for Brooks, that is the stupidest thing i've ever heard of. You finally get another early pick so you can fill a hole.And you're gonna give it up to get us a running back that you can get in the third round. That's just dumb!!!!!

We need to fill more holes than just RB. If they traded back just to trade up to get an injured RB in the 2nd round is idiotic.
QB/OT/WR are premium positions in the NFL.
The draft is getting these players on 5 year rookie contracts. This year’s draft was a great example of how much importance NFL teams
value these positions. Both KC and SF drafted WRs. Because Reid/Shanahan/McVay offensively depends on scoring opportunities
on every possession. Modern football is speedy WRs who get separation and yards after catching the football. WRs Cook, Tolbert, Turpin, are not it. If WRs J. Polk/WSH, J. Burton/Alabama, K. Coleman/FS, are available get one of them.

Hope they don’t trade that extra 3rd to get a RB with a repaired ACL!!!! You can get a RB in the 5th surely or make a trade to get into the 4th round!!! Plenty of capital in 25 years draft to use to get into the 4th!!

It’s all potential I’m sure he will be fine and if they can move up without giving up one of the 3rds to get brooks great but this is why they needed to make some moves during the offseason

If they build an O-Line that any RB would be happy to run behind, then who they pick at RB this year doesn't really matter. Unless Brooks is the reincarnation of Bo Jackson, however, I haven't heard that he is another Bo Jackson. They have to build the OL and the DL before anything else. Front to back.
The issue is Guyton is better suited for pass blocking which one could say about any college player. He's going to have to develop into a good run blocker. I'll be honest, with his size and wing span, he would seem like a better defender, a Dan Quinn type guy even. But he's on the O-Line. Anyway, he'll need work. I'm not worried though. Tyler needed work too and so far he's been great.

There is no such thing as a rookie player who doesn't need work. All players develop. It starts before they enter the NFL and ends when they retire. So, for all the folks saying this player needs to do this or that or be this or that . . . LET THE CAKE BAKE!

This is a ripple effect from not signing Tyron Smith. If they had kept Tyron(,who is only 32) they would have drafted Barton and had an outstanding line next year.

I'm not sure what's encouraging about trading down after telling the whole world you were going to trade down. They needed a day 1 starter based on the offseason, I don't give a rats ass if they add a pick, this guy has to be a starting quality player day 1 or the move sucked. We have fallen so far that we should celebrate executing a trade down? You didn't even mention where the value sits for the trade down compared to other teams moves.
Guyton is not a natural tackle, he's a converted tight end. This was not an A+, it was C+ at best. Unless Guyton packs on 20 or 30 pounds he's going to be pushed around the line of scrimmage by stronger defensive linemen.

And Trevon Diggs was a " natural WR". What a dumbazz post. Many college athletes start out at one position and switch early in their college career. Tryon Smith played RT his entire sophomore year.

Oh wait it was in the 90's with Switzer and a team Jimmy built. Every other franchise in DFW has won a championship since the last time the Cowboys won a Divisional round game, they can't get further than the wild card.
