Scared money don’t make money! Just another business expense.. he probably spends just as much as parents that have 3 or 4 kids and their 1 maybe 2 daily showers and such.
It makes more sense to sweep it outside rather than wash it down a drain which you'll have to scoop out regularly. I wouldn't use a lot of water in a garage anyway unless I redid the walls in CBU & tile then installed some kind of air handling to keep it from staying too humid, especially since mine is attached and used for many other things too.
If it makes you feel better I got confused as well. Somewhere last week I told my partner that I had no clue anymore which day it was. Now I saw this and I was like: what? It's Friday? Huh?.... Ow 2nd channel 😅
You are one of the only authentic and original detailers. I notice a lot of other channels try to take your style and half the vehicles look staged (especially the insides) for dramatic effect! Thanks for being genuine!
I disagree with him being the original. A lot are brand new channels and aren't very good, but a couple are good detailers, that have been around for just as long if not longer than him. It's just they weren't getting the views that he gets until they copied his format.
@@TheDetailGeek2 I know you probably didn't mean anything by it but not all the channels that are copying you are necessarily bad and phony. Some have been putting out detailing videos for quite a while. It's just that your videos set a new standard, and I think they are just trying to keep up.
I don’t watch other detailers on here, but hear all the time about other channels that straight up copy my video style AND voiceovers...so yeah to me, it’s crap. Of course there are other great detailers on here, but anyone who can’t have a single original thought for themselves doesn’t deserve to get views. Riding someone else’s coat tails is pathetic
@@TheDetailGeek2 Well I appreciate your honesty but I'm sorry you feel that way. I think some of them really are trying to put their own spin on what you're doing. Nice job cleaning garage floor. Having a epoxy floor, waster source and a floor drain makes a dirty job easier. Some building codes do not allow garage floor drains. In cold weather areas a garage (heated ideal) with floor drain is so nice. Many years ago my after school job was to push broom sweep a plumbing contractors warehouse and indoor garage. Your cleaning portion of video brought back teen work memories.
Give DG a pressure washer, a microfiber towel and his garage and he turns into DG the superhero. Here he comes to save the day! Simply SATISFYING. What's next? I'm ready!😳😜
WOW Mitch, that drain was so full of mud. I can see why it is such an integral part of the garage. Looks like it takes a pounding. I also enjoy the music you use for the outro. It's always fun and relaxing to watch these videos. You just kind of want to jump through the screen and help. Thanks for all your hard work! Stay safe, stay well!
I told my husband I was going to fly you out to detail our cars. He said, “Mitch is the reason I got the foam cannon.” I said, “Good then he can show you how it’s done.” 😂😂😂 All joking aside, he does a good job detailing but he’s no Mitch!💜
My name is Timothy,i stay in Port Elizabeth,South Africa and I am amazed at the work you do,anyone can clean a car but you take it to the extreme and I truely love that, you are amazing at wat you do
You should look up a “ All Terrain Broom & Squeegee.” And see if that might be beneficial to help with pushing all that dirt from the non slip flooring you have in your Garage!! Btw keep up the amazing videos! Keeps us entertained during this “Stay-Home” period! ❤️
ok, i have a question.... you always ask us what is more satisfying but what do you think is more satisfying? in my opinion, it’s the pressure washing😍
Floor drain clean up reminds me of cleaning the grease trap below the sink when I was in basic treaining. Fortunately I only had KP twice but that was enough. :😆
It's awesome to see that you actually go through the comments and answer it... Like the doubts about water and the squeegee i had is clear now... Much appreciated man.. Keep up the good work... Peace..✌
absolutely love these videos. they have inspired me to start up my own youtube channel with a few pressure washing and timelapses of construction work. great content. Keep it up
So have you found anything you’d have done differently in your gradge? That was super relaxing to watch with all the power washing at the end! Always a fav.😁💜💜💜
Perhaps you explained this before - looks like two stage being that dirt and debris collect on the grated side? Is there always water in the drain? Looks like it has to get to a specific water level before draining? Great video, always wondered what you do with that drain from the mountains of sludgy water you pour in.
To make the floor clean up quicker and easier have you tried hooking up your undercarriage sprayer and holding it upside-down and using it as a water broom? Works pretty well for me
The thing you use to hit the underbody of the cars - I use it to clean the siding on my house. The one I have can change the direction of the nozzles. If yours can change, you can use it as broom to move all the mud to your drain easier than the pressure washer can
Hey Detail Geek, this is super satisfying. I would recommend using a water broom, as some underbody sprayers are also water brooms. Or even one of those car washing brooms that a hose attaches to- just obviously don’t use it to wash cars.
at a water recycling place they clean the water completely, in MANY countries that's how they always do it, water from every tap in the netherlands is recycled
In Sweden it’s illegal to clean your car if the water gets into regular drains without proper filtration. There are chemicals which othterwise pollute the environment.
My first part time job was at a service station . I was a goffa Ice , LPG BBQ bottle fills , full driveway service even though we were self serve . We had the only car wash in a town of 50,000 people and very close to one of Australiass biggest market gardening community . Our sludge pit had to be cleaned anywhere from 4 too 8 times a day . thankfully my boss welded up a special scooper which worked 99% of the time but I did have to bend down and unblock and 37 years later I still recall the smell
Hey cool u clean like me. And u finish a satisfying video the right way. I hate seeing a pressure wash video and they stop and skip to a different part without showing how they did, damn near gives me anxieties. But your video never fail. I luv it!!
You should look into getting a water broom. It basically works like the undercarriage washer that you use but the water sweeps downwards instead of upwards.
I feel like slowly power washing it all down the drain is satisfying but takes so long and is so tedious. You should found a floor brush power wash attachment of some kind lol
Our garage has brick walls so we're safe from water damage making cleaning car life easier and really there's no fear of water leakage or a soaked wall u should get water proofing on those walls will really help during dirty clean-ups
I know you mentioned that a shop vac wouldn't work, but I think you should give it a shot. I clean cooling towers with sludge that thick and it sucks it up no problem.
Love your detailing videos. Great Job! Question , where does the water drains to and and how it get pass to have the drainage done in the garage? Im building a new home in Ontario but the builder telling me they can't put a drainage because the city won't pass it.
You could use a rainwater tank for supplying the pressure washer after passing it through a filtration element and this would reduce your overheads somewhat. Use "town water" only for a final rinse (if necessary)
I thought the color of the truck was brown...lol🤦but I just woke up im drinking coffee and watching your video Mitch now thats a good combination or way to wake up in the morning so satisfying💕💕💕🙋
I have always been concerned about the water so thanks for the clarification! We have a well, and it went dry because the owners lied about problems (they said there were none), and so now my family is very conservative about water now.
We use a squeegee at work and I would highly recommend one for your floors. But if you do plan on gettin one, don’t go cheap, or else the rubber will be too stiff and won’t get the job done.
Try a Unger PB45A 18" squeegee/brush or PB55A 22" Used them in shop, detail and drive aisle of a heavily textured epoxy floor in my old shop. Held up well and did a great job for me.
About the only additional thing I see that you could do would be to jack up the vehicle and remove all four wheels. This will give you better access to the wheel wells, the undercarriage, and to clean the back of each wheel. Other than that, you nail cleaning a vehicle 100%. Great job!
i was seriously thinking about how you clean your garage after a detail and 10 seconds later the video came out, idk how to feel about that, but i'm damn well happy
A restaurant use style deck brush would be perfect to scrub those anti slip surfaces. I’m so jealous, I wish I had a big garage with a drain, my cars are so filthy but it’s raining every couple of days here, frustrating lol
That's my next garage
you guys have cars?
I say the same thing brother I wish I had my own garage with a big drain so I could do my own detailing and wash cars at the same time
If you have bought your house you should maybe think of installing a small drain it's handy for cleaning the floor

Pressure washers don't have much back spray. So you don't really have to worry too much on getting wet.
