Hello Dave and Camera Lady. Thank you for a interesting video. I must admit the true spiders are not my favorite and still freak me out a bit. And maggots…yuck! Regardless it is fun to watch since you love what you do so much. It is a joy. I am off to bed. Have a lovely night(day, morning, whatever) take care and stay safe. See you this weekend.
Love funnelwebs - not many spiders we can keep here in NZ, but they are one of the ones we can. Really nice seeing some of the younger ones. Thanks for the video.
I'm 46yrs old and I've had severe arachnophobia my whole life. I always thought that spiders were some creepy, out to kill you , ugly lil things. By chance I came across one of your videos one day and I don't know what made me watch it but I'm very glad and grateful that I did. I don't kowi if it was your vast knowledge of spiders or just how fn cool you are when handling them but the good thing is that I got over my fear watching your videos and now see them as friendly little beasties. Keep up the passing of your awesome knowledge Mr. Dave, your fn cool
I was so afraid for spiders too and I could hardly look on one. My son become the owner of Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula and when we had to take care of that tarantula when my son had to move out for his education. My husband and I become the caretakers of Luni. I was so scared 😱 of her but with time I realized that she really was a sweet creature and I learned to love her.❤️🕷 You can overcome your fears but it's often means that you have to face them right on! I don't love every spider but I do see them for the miracle doers they are out there in our wonderful nature and they are really gorgeous creatures with a purpose! Susanne.
I'm not involved in the hobby, I watch purely for entertainment - and as an arachnophobe (recovering, thanks to your excellent content), I'm fascinated! But I think it's wonderful how educational your videos are, sharing the wisdom and knowledge you've acquired over many years. Other spider keepers - and of course, most importantly, the creatures themselves - will benefit hugely from the golden tips and tricks you share here. Great work Dave & Camera Lady - Keep up the SUPERB work! PS HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAN!
Intresting video...but I find all your videos Intresting as well as informative! The trip down funel webb road was an exciting adventure and it's nice to watch a calm person handeling a flighty spider! Your videos are therapeutic! Dave and Sweet Camera Lady are very good ambassadors for the spiders both the true once as well as the tarantulas! Have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend, hugs from me 👩🦳 and Trollet 🐱🐾❤️.
U tell ya what I’ve been subscribed for quite along time and I have chatted with ya on our Facebook tarantula page And I can tell ya this and all the subs and future subscribers . You will never find such a finer lad . The knowledge and love he has for his hobby and for his subscriber base is amazing . I’m from Oklahoma USA and I hope one day I will get to meet this gentleman. Would be a gift of a lifetime for sure . He got me into the hobby and I’ve never looked back and it’s been a blast … would love to track down one of these beauties but they are near to impossible to get here . Anyways hope your having a good week and love the vids. Keep doin what ur doin brother
Well you do learn something new every day. Who would’ve ever guessed that maggots are best stored in the fridge? It just lets me know not to pop by around your place for tea 😂👍🏻
Loved this ! Your experience really shows on how calmly you deal with them. Myself, knowing they've got medically significant venom, would never stick my hands in the enclosure for any reason. I even do this with my Brachypelma, because they're all very food-motivated, plus I'm avoiding exposure on their urticating hairs. I use my long tongs all the time to pull out boluses and the water dish if it needs cleaning. A long-term goal of mine is to have a female of all readily available (and some rare) Brachypelma, Grammostola, Tliltocatl and Aphonopelma, if I can get my hands on them, that is. Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
Just fascinating to see you both working with your spiders. I’d have that room locked bolted sealed and never go in it 😂😂. But you make it soo fascinating to watch safely from behind my iPad. 😂. Good job there’s no return video or you’d see some funny faces being pulled by me 😂. It’s a world I’d never see but thanks to your videos, it is really interesting. Thanks to you both. 😁👍🍀🇨🇮
Such a cool interesting video Dave. I'm always watching my spiders all the time, because I just watch how they react. I've noticed most will just run underground, or to their safe area. I tend to feed mine as quickly as I can as well. It's the Mantis's that take my time, since some want out and attention. Anyway cool and interesting video.
Hi ya Dave and Camera Lady!!! I have a jumping spider that has been living underneath my deck. She comes out every morning, looks at me for a bit while I sip my coffee, she then starts catching flies. If I move she stops and looks at me by raising herself(?) up on her front legs. Got a small video of her today as she is hunting flies!!
She is about 2/3s the size of the end of my pinky finger (tip to first joint) to give you an idea of how big she is. I also take a drop of coffee on the end of my finger and put it on the deck which draws the flys in for her to catch. She is very quick and caught 2 today!!
I kind of love these funnel webs too. They have such a reputation, and they are quiet defensive (and dangerous), but Dave revealed his magic to us once again. If I learned my lesson today correctly: It is all about really "seeing" the spider, not just lookin at it. And by doing so gaining all the experience you will ever need to handle any spider. Thank You very much for sharing your "arachnid wisdom", Dave. 🥰
Dear Dave, I owe you and the very brave camera lady (who gets right up close for us) a big thank you! Over here in Boring, Oregon, USA (yes, that is an actual city!) I have always had a SEVERE FEAR of spiders! All sizes, shapes, colors, etc!!! Now if I'm honest, I still do have my fear and I am not planning my own "beastie room" anytime soon. Heehee. However, your channel has really taught me to appreciate all these little and big, critters. I love the education you provide but with a funny and likeable manner. So thank you Dave and camera lady.....I'll definitely remain subscribed to learn more and laugh with ya. 🙂🙃

Happy Birthday Dean 🎂 nice job Dave and camera lady . So nice to think of your subscribers like that 😀 I'm glad I'm part of the Daves beastie family...by the way my birthday is in September 🤣🤣🤣 until next week 🥰🥰🥰
My birthday was 06/8/1994 which was on a Wednesday so that day was I was busy but still watched your videos Dave and camera lady because you both are outstanding people and love your videos keep up the good work 2 the both of you hope you have a good 1.
I find these video s of your s are very very calming to me, I love spiders, and the way you deal with them is so wonderful ! I am so glad I came to see your beasties, !
Hi Dave & Camera Lady ( Obviously, We all know she's far more than that... 😃 ) A very Prehistoric looking Species that wouldn't look out of place at the feet of a T-rex ! lol The maggots are great to feed ( Not just for Spiders ), if anyone needs something smaller, ask for " Squats " at the local fishing tackle shop. The Squat is the larvae of the little house fly ,Fannia canicularis, smaller than the common house fly, Musca domestica. Totally agree about the looking, but not seeing comment..... the amount of ID requests for Grass Snakes versus Adders is mad this time of year.... ! LOL
Dave, I love how gentle you are. Before I even started watching your channel, I felt like I was maybe a little OVER gentle with mine. I even put their enclosures on top of small, folded pillow cases because I want to help with the lack of vibrations 😂 I know I know. They’re also in the quietest, least used, only carpeted room in our house. I’m also slow and quiet, even my 3 yo daughter knows when you’re in the spider room, no stomping or yelling. I dunno if that’s a bit of over doing it, but it’s just how I’ve always felt I SHOULD be. There are some keepers on RUclips that by no means are bad or hurting their spiders, but I guess I cringe a little when I feel they’re a bit loud or rough… I think it’s just a matter of preference and differences. But you are a wonderful advocate for those of us who CHOOSE to be on the gentler side, make us feel less crazy 😂 great informative video, as always!
This audio engineer is very glad to see you wearing a lav microphone now. :) Truly enjoy your content, sir. And will even moreso now. All best from TN, USA 🕷️
I bought a "Tarantula" from the petshop, supposed to be docile and not aggressive. This one would raise its four front arms and dash itself against the glass of its tank every time it saw me. Had to stack books on top to stop it getting out. Turns out it was a barking spider, which apparently is very, very aggressive.
U always look comfortable when u are dealing with ur spider's I've been learning a lot of things to help me with my phobia of spider's cause of how u explain things and show exactly what u mean

I am calm and not a jumpy or nervous person around spiders. But these do make my heart beat a little faster and my attention heightened.. Hey Dave! Great video! Your videos come out at 1AM in my timezone, i stayed up, watching Bethany`s Spiders and by the time i was finished that, it was almost Mr.Beastie time! I watched the first 25 minutes when it came out, went to bed, watched the rest when i woke up. I was very happy with how long this video was. 44 minutes with Dave?! Yes please! This is one of my favourite species of true spider, very glad that you did another video on them. Very cool to watch as well, they`ve grown a good amount since we saw them last, which was when you acquired this group. This video was absolutely packed full of information, as per usual, Dave. Thoroughly enjoyed it, i refuse to believe that you don`t have a background in teaching, you`re too good at this, you`re a natural at teaching your viewers! Happy Birthday Dean!! I hope it was good! @@daveslittlebeasties Thanks Dave! I wonder if you`ll wish me a happy belated birthday in an upcoming video. I don`t know, just a thought i had. If not, i have this beautiful message, thank you very much Dave!
Happy Birthday Dean. So wonderfull Video and a very good Cameralady. I love your Videos . You are a good Teacher and I learn a lot from your videos. Warm greetings from Germany
Watching these videos is highly interesting as I have a massive fear of any insect or arachnoid. I happened to spot one of your Japanese Funnel Web pairing videos and while they are Japanese and not the Sydney, I thought it would be cool to see how Japanese Funnel Webs work since I'm writing novels in which the main character owns a Sydney Funnel Web. Is it possible that you'll ever do a video on the Sydney Funnel Web if you haven't already?
Hello from Manitoba Canada! Where I live there are not many large spiders in the wild. I think Araneus Gemmoides are the biggest, but I could be mistaken. We watch them and track them around the yard and make sure they're doing ok, safe, even throw in a fly or moth here and there. New to the channel within the last few days, but this is amazing stuff! Thanks so much Dave, and thanks Camera Lady!
Great video Dave 'n' Cam Lady... Again"" I do like these spiders, alot, I don't mean to get into talk about Race, Creed or God forbid... Gender, but I do really like a gnarly black spider.. I also appreciate that in a 40 min care vid, none of it was about gratuitous takedowns or aggressive feeding responses and I'll also add, of the five or maybe six Channels doing similar content, the example of a calm and experienced keeper could not be made clearer than watching your videos mate, if I was a spider I know who's Beastie I'd wanna be. 👍😃👍
Very cool video- particularly like the adaptability with a bit of free hand at times, too!😄 Does look like the breeding project is ticking along great, and even more cool, of course, was the last little revelation that you have a mature male currently to try w already!!😂👍
Dave I was waiting to see the female mumma as you said but you didn't go there🤔. Wow another interesting and educational video. You know my stance, but as a breeder I can see where you are coming from💙. Thank you Dave and sweet sweet Camera Lady🌻🌷
I have not gotten any updates on your channel for weeks for some reason and while watching ants Canada I remembered about your channel and low and behold my favorite spiders on your channel is the first I see. Cheers Dave.

Happy Birthday Dean. So wonderfull Video and a very good Cameralady. I love your Videos . You are a good Teacher and I learn a lot from your videos. Warm greetings from Germany
Thank you so much 😊
Guiness Book funnel web times there... nice job Dave
Welcome to our channel my friend 👍❤️
Great video Dave 'n' Cam Lady... Again"" I do like these spiders, alot, I don't mean to get into talk about Race, Creed or God forbid... Gender, but I do really like a gnarly black spider.. I also appreciate that in a 40 min care vid, none of it was about gratuitous takedowns or aggressive feeding responses and I'll also add, of the five or maybe six Channels doing similar content, the example of a calm and experienced keeper could not be made clearer than watching your videos mate, if I was a spider I know who's Beastie I'd wanna be. 👍😃👍
Thank you so much really means a lot ❤️👍
In good hands with you and camera lady..!! Awesome
Very cool video- particularly like the adaptability with a bit of free hand at times, too!😄
Does look like the breeding project is ticking along great, and even more cool, of course, was the last little revelation that you have a mature male currently to try w already!!😂👍
Fingers crossed 🤞
