The Bible I grew up with as a southern baptist doesn’t condone such an unequally yolked relationship, where a partner needs to inform the other as to when bed times are etc. Seems like the head of the house isn’t focused on demonstrating servitude that is called for by God and is more focused on themselves. It would be sad to see a couple espousing patriarchal values over the teachings of Christ and packaging them as biblical when they aren’t. That’s usually a sign of the devils involvement and empowerment of the male for his nefarious purposes. Both parents should be equally invested in raising the children not just the woman, which includes the simple things like knowing the kids basic schedules, drs appointments, and how to take care of themselves so they can model these behaviors to the children. I know no one asked but it’s alarming to see this presented as Christ like at all.
This is standard practice by most fundamental Christians.

I don't see anything wrong with this video. I believe right now she's at stay at home mom, and he works outside the house. Usually the mom knows more about the kids than the father. Maybe he needs to acknowledge what she says and give it some follow up since they do have a channel together. But my husband tends to do that. Men are usually that way.

Hi Nate & Sutton! You are both in a very busy season of your lives and I understand the overwhelming feeling of caring for the many needs of children, but please remember that you are doing one of the most important jobs that the LORD has given us! Raising up children for His glory! I remember after having my 4th baby I was terrified at the thought of another....low and behold I found out I was pregnant with my 5th (mixed emotions all around).....about a week later I miscarried....a few months later pregnant again....miscarried again. My heart was broken. I realized how truly precious and miraculous each child is. I turned to the LORD and asked Him to forgive me for having hardened my heart towards the blessings He was wanting to send our way....I began to see how blessed I was to have been given a chance to raise the 4 we had. I even began to fervently pray for more children. Well we went on to have 5 more healthy babies over the course of 8 years. In fact I was expecting my 10th little one a few weeks ago, but sadly miscarried a baby girl at 11 weeks. My point in sharing this is that I know what you are going through, but just keeping seeing the LORD and asking for His prefect will in every area of your life! He is good! I love that scripture that says. "Here am I and the children whom the LORD has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel From the LORD of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion." Isaiah 8:18

My marriage fell apart the minute I found out I was pregnant those nine months were hell living with someone who was openly unfaithful and violent until finally I decided to leave when the baby was 4months old. Now she's 5yrs and thriving it hasn't been easy, Lord knows it hasn't been easy but God has been there all through. So thank God that both of you are there, together and your family thriving and take care of the bundle if it's there.

I understand this is RUclips posting, but our posts should still be easily flowing when someone whom we don’t know is reading them, and even those who do know us appreciate not having to back up when reading our posts to try to make meaning out of our writing, when it lacks periods and other needed punctuation and your sentences are all running together and willy-nilly!! Plus, it changes the meaning! For example, did you mean, “My marriage fell apart the minute I found out I was pregnant those nine months. (They) were hell, living with someone who was openly unfaithful ….” Or, did you mean, “My marriage fell apart the minute I found out I was pregnant. Those nine months were hell, living with someone who was openly unfaithful …” ?? I had to back up and read your attempted sentences at least twice while I was trying to decipher exactly what you were trying to communicate! But, that problem could easily have been prevented with some tiny, little periods put at the end of your actual sentences, so that one idea wouldn’t run into the other! It’s certainly worth the extra seconds it takes you to do so!!! Because if you don’t take the extra seconds to do so, then your readers are forced to do so!! 🙁 Then, reading your posts can become laborious (which lacks enjoyment!) for the reader! I’ve tried reading posts where there were so many run-on sentences that I just gave up on them completely and moved onto the next post! I don’t know whether you actually want people to read your posts so that they can sympathize with you, or relate to you, or if you’re writing to just get the feelings out of your head, for some relief. But, if you do want people to be able to read your posts, then please remember your readers, and that periods, commas, and semi-colons are important to the readability and the understandability of your posts!

This was so nice :) I appreciate Nates honesty about having another kid at this moment. I can only imagine 3 boys so close in age must be a crazy handful, but theyre SO CUTE!
Also, my mom would buy me a donut as well, every week before getting on the school bus and its a vivid precious memory i have of eating it on the bus to kindergarten. The kids will remember it Nate, its the little things!

The beach, water and sand looked amazing! I live in the middle of Nebraska and we will soon be very cold. A family tradition at Christmas was to get hot chocolate and drive around looking at Christmas lights. A few other traditions that are easy with little kids is to have a lunch or picnic in the front or back yard; to go on a scavenger hunt on a walking trail; pick 3 items (younger kids) to find such as a rock, leaves, sticks; take the items home and put them in a box. Once a month take the kiddos to a museum or landmark in your town. I agree that creating memories, routines and traditions are what adult children will remember. Not necessarily all the toys and "stuff" we think we should give them. Your new memory, the "pregnancy scare of 2022"......

I haven’t had a chance to watch the video yet so I don’t know everything but based on the title, and remembering from a long time ago video you mentioned not feeling comfortable with contraception (which, I am Catholic and do not use contraception), I recommend looking into Natural Family Planning if you have not already. It is a way to space pregnancy with prayer and discernment while not using contraception (it involves abstinence around the woman’s fertile time of the month). I specifically recommend Marquette Method which helps to identify the fertile time through the use of urine tests using the clear blue fertility monitor. All that being said, God bless your family!

When we were younger our parents would take us out once in a while on a weekend....like going to the lakeside city, a national park and have a small picnic while enjoying the nature (along with monkeys!) It's something that has remained with me to this day and hoping to carry it on when the LORD blesses me with a family....GOD bless you all!

I would be kinda freaking out too if I thought I was pregnant again...there is nothing here that implies that he wouldn't love the baby or support Sutton if they were pregnant again, it just seems like they would be in over their heads if they had another baby right now. Which, is totally reasonable.

Loved this and all your videos and share! Boy was with Nate, could feel the tension. Would your hands full! I know it's been a lot of hard work, patience, love, etc. I wish I had known what I know now at 65 my family would not be such a mess on all sides. Dong best to minister to them for yrs. Most don't talk to me. Been tough! I have been single now 65 yrs on SS Disability. Praise God made it through 30 days of full symptoms of Covid, ER in may blood pressure up to 250's barely walking due to feet issue never got taken care of when born some as adult. Fallen several times etc. So a work in progress for years, lots of prayers. Get frustrated wanting for my healing God willing on this earth as I declare from Jesus who suffered so for all of us! Been single 25 yrs now. Chaplain help the homeless, as was one too but not on street. In car temp etc. Waiting for SS been in HUD bldg 14 yrs but so ready to move forward travel, ministry etc. Did many things on and off as best as could with gifts didn't work out, the health issues came. I am from Panama miss the water, lake etc. Main family all gone, just us siblings our families, cousins. Lots of prayers for them to come to the Lord 100%. My husband is blessed with an Australian Federal Government job which he not only enjoys but has great benefits, too. One of the benefits means if he works more than 7hr and 25mins in a working day he accrues what is called 'flex' time, which is leave in lieu. Essentially this 'flex' time is used for the odd couple of days off every few months and when combined with other leave has enabled us to travel internationally for 6 weeks at a time more than once- while he's paid as normal!
He is very sweet spontaneously in using it too, at times. I was a bit overwhelmed recently with a number of things going on and he used some flex hours to take a day off and do a couple of things around the house that made my life easier.
So Sutton my best suggestion would be more trips like this one- It's essentially what we use my husbands' flex for.
Or another suggestion is group travel- we love renting an AirBnB or similar with our best friends for a week or so and exploring a new place, playing board games and just having fun as a unit.
I think a mix of tradition and spontaneity is definitely best. :-) Really enjoyed this video.

@@julieroxy22 cause they don’t understand child development and made a video talking about how they spank their child and then put them in the car seat and just shut the door. He’s “only” had to do it 5 times. As a person raised this way they are taking a huge risk in traumatizing their child. Some kids who are spanked are okay later on and then some kids (like me who was undiagnosed special needs) end up traumatized. It’s hard to see if it will happen in the moment so even though kids might look happy in 20 years they will say how it really impacted them. Unfortunately they won’t know until it’s too late.
@@julieroxy22 and I must add the more children they have statistically speaking they will have a child who has undiagnosed autism or something like that. More kids=more likely one of them will be traumatized. I really don’t think people understand how much things like this impact me literally 20 years later. I have nightmares of my dad doing something similar that this dad did to my brother. It STILL impacts me to this day. They will learn in about 20 years…sadly it will be too late for their children.
And when they DO learn (because they will) They better crawl out from what ever rock they were under and apologize.

Let's give Nate a break for a bit. I've had my moments of criticism, but I think it's good he knows his limit with kids right now. It's Ok to not want more now, or ever. There a young couple with 3 small kid's.having them that close together would be hard, our 1st was 3.5 before we had our 2nd and our 3rd was 6 yrs later then number 2. I was on the pill as well, so it was meant to be, because i cried when I found out I was pregnant again. I didn't want to start over, had 2 in school. Children are a blessing, but overwhelming. Sutton knows he isn't ready, so pump the breaks, she is overwhelmed as well. Sutton you look amazing, you just had 3 kids in 5 yrs? Nate needs a break, so does sutton. New house, business that's growing, lots of pressure to have to support everyone. I'm defending Nate this time. We have been to judgmental. Double birth control !
