- Singer Justin Bieber posted on his Instagram page that he's been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. The virus has caused paralysis in his face, causing the singer to have to cancel upcoming performances.

From somebody who has suffered from Bells Palsy for several decades, I know how frustrating this is. I know that he can heal hopefully in full but it will take time and patience.

My husband had bells palsy and right after diagnosis, he had acupuncture on the affected side of the face. It did help. He does however still have some signs of paralysis. Best wishes to you Justin Bieber. May you have a complete recovery.

But actually it can be brought on by stress. My mom was told it’s a virus on a nerve in the ear. My mom had it bad. Her whole side of the face dropped. She had to use a straw to drink and while eating had to hold her effected side of the mouth up by fingers or food would fall out. All around a miserable time. But did recover. No meds.

i had bells palsy a few years ago... very similar... my chiropractor told me to do facial exercises in front of a mirror... not only are u retraining your muscles to work, but you are actually watching as well.. stimulate different parts of the brain . Good luck to you Justin 🥰

My doc tells me I'm the healthiest in her practice and I'm 65.. then she tries to get me to take various shots, lol. I've had all the childhood illnesses and did just fine. I have had the small pox vax, polio and tetanus too, and that's it. Never had a flu shot.. why would I? I've never had flu.

I've suffered a Bells Palsy partial face paralysis related to a lyme infection and recovered for 6-8 months before it was all healed up, It's real and it's a struggle. You're afraid to go shopping , scared that people may ask you something or talk to you. Just need fresh ginger lemon tea and plenty of sleep
I've had Bell s' Palsy a few times in my life, and that's exactly what it did/does to me. Now the left side of my face is about 50% paralyzed. I've never heard of Ramsay Hunt syndrome, but it sounds exactly like my affliction, and just as painful. I feel for you Justin. I hope the outbreaks don't have the cumulative effects of Bell s'. I hope your fan base is more understanding since you spoke publicly about it, and also made the public aware of the syndrome. Get well quick!

@GayPrepperz I totally agree with you, it seems like the same thing (just the face paralysis). I also he had it 20 years ago; and while a medication helped me get better immediately, but I’ve never fully recovered. The body is a mystery.
First breaking his leg years ago and now this, we need to hope and pray that he gets better.
He also battled for years with Lime disease

My husband suffered from Ramsay Hunts. 10 years out he still has a slight uneven smile. I had bells palsy which is a less severe version. I'm sending healing vibes. You are healing Beiber!
Actually if you read up , people who had the Covid vaccine are developing Ramsey Hunt Syndrome and it's becoming quite common look it up I didn't believe it myself I just looked it up.. They're not telling you obviously

I am also a sufferer of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. It’s very painful. You need rest. Botox at some point to reduce pain. Take care of your eye as they dry out and lead to vision issues. I WISH I COULD GIVE HIM SOME TIPS PERSONALLY BUT I CANT.

My son was the youngest to develop Bell’s Palsy, a facial paralysis effect one whole side of his face, at age 3. Again at age 4, and again at age 6, twice, from a virus. You’ll be fine so long as you do your face muscle therapy. Get well soon.

I have bell's palsy one time. it's not like ramsay hunt, but it is similar. mine was only a minor one and I was able to recover within a few months with facial exercise. It is not fun. you basically have to tape your eye shut when you sleep.

I had Ramsay Hunt syndrome last summer that my doctors initially misdiagnosed as swimmer's ear.
It was extremely painful and because I wound up getting treated so late thanks to the misdiagnosis I'm still weak on that side and am constantly having issues with my right eye.

Ngl I didn't notice anything was wrong until I saw a blink in which his eyes rolled up. Aside from that, I wouldn't have known if I didn't watch this video. I hope he recovers quickly, but also takes off as much time as he needs.
