Hands down....Corabi had the best Motley album. They re-released it and called it Crucial Crue...3 bonus tracks that didn't make the album but should have. "Livin' in the know" friggin rocks!
It is the strongest (at least for my taste), but def not ahead of it's time. Behind the times as came out after Alice in Chains + Soundgarden. Doesn't mean it's not good though. Real hard rock instead of that silly party shit, most of it.
I saw Mötley Crüe with Corabi here in Mexico. It was a truly awesome and heavy show. The man could not sing better. Years went by and again saw them at the Carnival of Fins Tour. Great show also.
I saw Motley Crue with Corabi in a small venue in OKC, OK many years ago, he was really awesome. I loved the crew and I got to be right next to the stage. John was awesome and I still have the CD with him singing in my car. He is a cool dude. Still Love Vince but this guy killed it.
I was lucky to see that tour in '94 at two different places. One at Milwaukee State fair, and the second act the Star Plaza Theater in Indiana. The first two time’s I ever saw the Crüe. I’ll never forget they played “Revolution” Beatles, and the crowd went nuts!
Your spot on...And those are 3 cool lookin mofos. I dig how they age and dont get older looking they just get grungier looking haha. All are nice guys and supremely talented...so yeah nice call on that!
I love Motley Crue...they're a great band with Vince Neil AND JOHN CORABI. It's about the music they put out...nothing more...and I think when can agree on that.
John ruled on that record.... and I still listening that record a lot.... It's a total different Mötley Crüe, but one that kick ass.!!!! his involvement in the writing make a huge difference in the sound of the band.!!!
Both Vince and John are great singers, love all the Albums with Vince and also the one with John. Just glad Vince and John get along great. Motley Crue Rules

I'm a Crüehead and you won't hear this often if ever..Mötley Crüe is my band and I've supported them no matter who the lead singer or drummer is. Otherwise you're just a fan of the person.
well said. I feel the same way about Queensryche now. Not a huge crue fan (casual) but I was a Corabi fan from his first band and thats how i got here. He is an excellent musician.
I will be 1st in line to purchase the combo DVD/CD! As John said not many loyal fans got to see the 94 tour cos it really stiffed and Tommy and Nikki were taking there own cash to keep the train rolling as far as it could go. The video single 'Smoke the Sky' was shot for under 20 thousand dollars of band money and as Nikki said they decided to shoot it 'Gorilla Style' meaning raw intuition and balls out. That's what made the whole album so special and its funny that any true fan of the Crue will tell you to this day it was there best work they ever recorded. I listen to it at least twice a month and every single fucking time I always say it out loud it still sounds like fresh music cos it was way ahead of its time. John you are still the man and can't wait for the update release asap. Bless you brother and keep rocking!!!!!
John Corabi sat next to me at an outdoor concert in Colorado after Ratt just finished their set and he was sooo cool and nice..I was very drunk and wanted to rub his hair and he was so nice about it,,,Didnt know he was even there until the people behind me told me..and I said can I rub your hair?? He laughed and said sure..lol...He was soo cool!!
I am a huge Motley fan from the Shout days in 1983. And I was super fired up when Vince came back with Generation Swine. Awesome album, by the way. But I will say this. Corabi is class and without his work on both the '94 album and Swine, I would have missed out on something with Crue. You can tell his influence on Swine and just listening to him here, you can tell he exudes class. He was a good front man for them and he did it the right way. In my opinion, anyway.
I heard Nikki in an interview say if they changed the name of the band from motley crue to something else he thinks it would of done a lot better due to motley having their own sound and corabi sounding completely different than traditional motley crue. I think that is a pretty accurate point of view.
They should have called the band "Seattle Train". Because it was a record that showed the band had no musical center or core sound. It was about chasing trends with the Crue. But their fans should have realized that the day Theatre of Pain came out.
@@termsofusepolice your so right on about that. And I've been saying this for several years now. Nikki Sixx is the biggest bullshitter in the music business. He just looks for the marketing trends and tries to adapt. Everything from their music to the way they dressed to the lyrics to the way they behave is based on the popular trends within the industry. I bought the motley album with Corabi and didn't like it after listening to it once because it was so radically different from Motley Crue I was used to. I gave it to my brother and forgot about it. When I was over a few years later, he was playing it, and I really liked it and asked who it was, so I went back out and bought it again. It's a great album but very different from Motley Crue. They may have done well to change the name.
Personally I don't think that Corabi's MC album was better than the first few albums but I think it ranks right up there with them, as far as a better singer, Vince's voice fits better with MC, I LOVE The Scream album Corabi did, and a lot of other albums with him singing, I LOVE his voice, The Dead Daisies are one of the best bands out there doing the style of music that has been almost forgotten, I've seen them twice and this band kicks ass, I hope the Dead Daisies stay together and put out many more albums, THE BEST LINE UP OF THIS BAND HANDS DOWN!!!!!!
I met you couple years ago John at a show in red Bank with the daisies and I’m a singer is well I mention to you that my vocal coach at the time was Carl Cochran and believe me brother I would’ve taken this opportunity as well by the way you did a fantastic job with the crew and I love Vince as well it sounds like he kind a let himself go a little bit I hope he makes turn around I hope doing well

Corabi F’n KILLED IT!!!!!!
truly professional
I met you couple years ago John at a show in red Bank with the daisies and I’m a singer is well I mention to you that my vocal coach at the time was Carl Cochran and believe me brother I would’ve taken this opportunity as well by the way you did a fantastic job with the crew and I love Vince as well it sounds like he kind a let himself go a little bit I hope he makes turn around I hope doing well
i actually thought that corabi crue was fresh and very musically tight still love the album 20 years later and hooligans holiday is a fuckin badass jam
I absolutely love the Self titled Motley Crue album. I wish the record company would have gotten behind them with JC.
Girls, Dr.Feelgood, & Motley Crue (With Corabi) are my 3 faves.
shout is the #1 crue album for me.
I just love John...
