I'm on a full bed of Yonex PTP. It's an amazing string to one condition, lower tension. 48lbs for myself. It gives a chance for those strings to snap back and gives it great spin at full racket speed without needing edges or texture.

It feels like rubber band lower than 53lbs for me

Used the yellow 1.25 at 57lbs tonight in a head prestige pro and it felt fantastic. As you mention, it's quite powerful and soft , and once you adapt a little to the launch its just great.

Honest review, enjoyed it. I have been using Polytour Pro 1.25 Yellow the past year and I believe it’s one of the few polys that are designed for high tensions. I string around 56-58 and it’s one of the very few strings that are comfortable, controlled and with decent spin. Doesn’t work at low tensions (feels dead, too lively) but at high tensions it’s really great and health wise it’s awesome.

My level of tennis went up within a few months after using these strings (Full bed), I strung at 55 lbs on my Vonex vcore duel G 97 310. It's a normal poly string but does a great job on vonex racquets. It is worth a try.

I see many high performance ITF juniors use it as a full bad here in Sweden in combination with Vcore 98. I never used it myself.

while it is true that the ball fly a bit, is what you should expect from a soft poly, but the spin is there too so the final balance is very good imo. Tried the blue one

Did you get a chance to give the yellow a go? It's an awesome string.

Infortunately, you tried the black one which is really bad. To understand the hype about ptp, you should test the yellow one Which is a lot better (confort, spin, control, tension maintenance...). You ll discover a totally different string and like me, you could love it (whereas I hate thé black one) 😉👍

Why the yellow one wrote "PTGP" on the string? I didn't like this one compared to Green G lost few matches already.

I'm a 4.5 and I use a full bed in my blade 98 16x19 v7, I also have a one-handed backhand. I used to use Solinco Confidential, but I now just use this at 54lbs... feels sounds and plays better IMO.
I've tried multi cross with Confidential mains and that was dog shit for me at whatever tension I tried it at and the string bed looked like a bowl of noodles after every session.

I got a 2020 ezone 98 and it came strong with ptp 125 yellow. My firts full bed poly and the truth i love it. 4.0 serv and volley dobles player. Had trouble with my elbow and it got better. I was using black widow and a multi before. I am looking for a string as similar as posible but more budget friendly. Any suggestions? Thanks

The black one sucks; the Yellow might be the best string I have ever used even in a full bed.

Your experience was the same as mine when I tried it a few months ago, a little to springy and too launchy for me and no bite which is what you would need for a string like this. I cut it out rather early as I couldn't get an consistency with it. My 11 yr old daughter uses it and it seems comfortable for her, but she is not really taking big cuts yet so that's why it may work for her. I am currently into Dunlop Black Widow, Cyclone, and Technifibre 4S in 18g's so like you said I don't see any reason to move over to that string.

I had a similar experience with poly tour pro I didn’t understand why people like it to me the ball flew like crazy absolutely hated it off the bat. Unfortunately I didn’t feel confident enough to re-string the tension up maybe that would have helped but idk.

Give Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour a try next! Plays like a mix of ALU and Solinco Tour Bite.

That would be an awesome combo... I'm pretty sure I have that string in my Poly bin with about 100 others (too many strings)

I tried this string at 54lbs in my Yonex VCORE Pro and I knew from the first few hits that I did not like it. The string feels like they made it from the same material they make Hefty garbage bags from lol.

It's a good string, not a great string, even still a bit pricey for you can get some other ones that perform well

@@ACTennis Hey look who I found here hehe! Now that this string is on Amazon for $120/reel would you recommend this instead of the budget friendly ones? Still not understanding the characteristics of this string, some say it’s dead, some say it’s like the Alu Ice, and some said it’s better than RPM so I’d like to see your take on this!!

    • @ACTennis
      @ACTennis 2 года назад +2

@@hijikatakun000 I think it's just a generic smooth poly that is above average , it does everything pretty well but nothing standout, fairly soft, decent spin, decent tension maintenance, playability and durability, it's slightly slick, like has silicone coating on it so it's slides decent for snapback
The closest clone it has is MSV co focus , so yeah any normal smooth soft poly, nothing special - maybe i get the ALU ICE comparison, because its smooth, and slick, but thats going to play alot more crisp and less plush, and ALU dies extremely fast

I've watched like 8 of your reviews and you have absolutely nothing positive to say lmao like legit, you review the most popular strings on the market that are used both recreationally and all over the pro tour and call them trash. Is it just for the views? I don't get it.

Don’t agree with this review as this one 17G gives me amazing control @ 54lbs.
    I am a 4.0 male.

  • @akbarberlian

Pretty average string, but if the god kyrgios uses it, who am I to say no to temptation of acting & mimicking god? Just kidding, it's utility string for spin player. Great string for control player or power player looking for control (hight tension)
