    Terry Kath cant be beat by anyone on guitar. I especially love the wa wa he plays in 25 or 6 to 4. I miss him, 😢 Chicago will never be the same without him..miss your talent Terry Kath.

    Now I realize what people mean when they use the term "shredding" on guitar. Terry is ripping this guitar to pieces!!! I just love him!!!

    I seriously get chills and get all emotional when I watch this. So freakin’ powerful!!!! The first two Chicago albums are in heavy rotation on my turntable...always.

      SAME! LOL, Terry here, Stevie Ray, Jimi, and Carlos in his earlier days are the only guitarists I've seen actually leaving their bodies during a performance - they were so 'One' with their music at that moment

      What a lucky man you are! I would have killed to see him before he sadly died WAY too young. And the really sad part is that it was so unnecessary 😢

    Terry was such a talent and so under-rated. Wish he'd stuck around so we could see what else he could do with his guitar. He was fantastic. RIP Terry, we miss you.

    Tremendous playing by Terry... On autopilot! Reminds me of Duane Allman & Dickey Betts At Fillmore East? Amazing Hendrix complimenting him. The early yrs are best from Chicago... After Kath accidentally killing himself in '78, was downhill... Elevator music. 🎸

      I mean!!! Check this out, I made a bass-enhanced version of 'Beginnings' from their 1st album (keep your eye out, will be posting here later this week) - played it for my best friend who said "Peter Cetera plays bass?!". Hah point being he's so criminally mixed down in most of the recordings. A fantastic bassist - along with a voice like no other

    Terry Kath era da banda Chicago e um dos guitarristas preferidos de ninguém menos que o Jimi Hendrix. O Terry Kath faleceu em 1978 em uma brincadeira fatal. Por incrível que pareça, a banda Chicago fez muito sucesso com a balada de 1977 chamada "If You Leave Me Now", que coincidiu com a morte dele em 1978 e é um clássico da banda Chicago.

    Who else came here from Netflix "We have a ghost" movie. A black boy (in movie) is having a conversation with his father and the boy says, one of the greatest guitar players ever was Terry Keth and his father says no Jimi Hendrix was and the son retorts "..oh and where did you get that from Rolling Stone?" Probably just me. Sad I know! I don't care whose the best I just love that sound. Not to dance just listen! 😑😂

      @Millennial Smark I think you missed the most important part, being able to replicate the notes, timing, and rhythm exactly isn't enough on its own. What set him apart from the rest whas the emotion he injected into every bend, slide, and hammeron.

    From the days when a solo wasn't just a bunch of scales strung together and played as fast as they can, with no rhyme, reason, emotion or creativity. Even non-pop stuff from today, especially, IMO, so-called "progressive" metal, is a mere shadow of what it was in the 60s & 70s.
    Not to say there's nothing good today, you just have to look harder. For me the suggested vids are often good, here and the songs on Spotify.
    And we can listen to the old stuff and make new discoveries.
    RIP Terry. Another victim of an unloaded gun.

      I think you say this because you can see sooooo many solos today, since pretty much anybody can upload a song, album or video on the web. Those guys we remember from the 70s were the best of their generation and were very selected. I guarantee you that all af the "normal" rock guitarists from the 70s were running up an down pentatonics and copying the same licks over and over. if you select not 2000, but 20 players from the last 20/30 years, you can fing guys with incredible knowledge, talent, creativity and musicality, not only mindless shredders. Of course not in pop music...
