For those interested, I just uploaded an even rarer demo for the song "30 Pieces of Silver" here: ruclips.net/video/pNPNIhXU1Ig/видео.html Hope you like it.
A long time ago when I met John at a show in VA, USA (a state fair, I think? 2005?), he shared a story with me and a couple other people around about his first band (must have been this one) where he was grounded but snuck out to play a show... which turned out to be aired on local TV. He said his parents still never found out. haha
Yep, that was this band. I was their bass player. The event was the Mid-South State Fair talent show. It aired on local television. I’m sure someone has a vhs copy somewhere. If I ever get my hands on one, I’ll post it here. 😎
I saw your post on the forum in skillet.com and I was wondering if you might have "the one" radio mix. I have a copy but it's kinda muffled. Let me know
Protoman3200 Hey, sorry but I do not have the "radio mix". I only have the regular "the one" from their album. I never knew they had a radio mix version. Where did you get yours?
Hello, I'm not sure if you will answer me now, the video is after all for many years, but have you preserved the lyrics to these old demos (especially to The Way It Goes) songs? Due to the sound quality and not being a native speaker, some words are very difficult to hear and understand. These demos really hooked me and I would like to know more about them even if the meaning of these songs... I would be extremely grateful if you would give any information!
Hi there! I'm not sure if I have a lyric sheet for these songs anymore, but I can look to see. "The Way It Goes" is one of my favorite Seraph songs too. I remember the lyrics being about how life is sometimes "not fair". Some people are born into wealth, and others in poverty. I found an old interview that I did many years ago that you may find interesting about the origin of the band. Спасибо theskilletsizzle.tripod.com/id132.html
@@ErikStone1 Big thanks for the answer! I really like that interview btw, that gave me some more info about Seraph and Jonh Cooper himself x) And thats sad, that the wiki page of Seraph got deleted,,
@@creeppofine Yes, I agree about the wiki page. I was one of the authors of that page, and I remember the day they took it down. Basically, they took it down because they felt the band wasn't relevant enough (we weren't famous enough) to have our own wiki page. They do this to save space on the wiki servers. I wonder how that works now that everything is in the cloud.
I'm glad you like it. I do have more, but the problem is that they are poor quality audio on cassette tape. The quality on tape degrades over time, and we're talking over 22 years or more. So I've been converting these these from tape to digital, and some still sound pretty rough. I may have a few more that I can post, but they aren't ready just yet. You'll be notified when they do post though since you're a subscriber ;) Thanks again!
wow didn't know John was in another band before Skillet :)

I think I shall let all skillet fans know and have them see this! It is really cool you were a member! Which one is you?
I was the dorky kid playing bass guitar ;)

@@ErikStone1 That would be great!
Man, John had it in him already when he was a teen and look where he got himself today!

Nice tune! Loved it! Say how old were you then guys?
This was recorded around 1993, and we were in our late teens.
So the chocolate rain song used the intro of your song? I hope you received the due royalties. Greetings from Brazil.
Yeah, that chocolate rain guy is a big Seraph fan! LOL. Obrigado!
I'm a little late, but do you remember who wrote the song?
Amazing track btw, just add that to my Spotify account
Thanks for listening. That's a Seraph original.

Did the chocolate rain dude rip off the beginning?!
Yeah man, where's my royalty check on that?
Never noticed that. Maybe you guys can reunite and play with Stryper.

I'm a member of Seraph, and yes I have more that I may release in the near future if anyone cares to hear this old stuff.
Erik Stone yes!! i'd love to hear it!!! like The Way it Goes, and Instrumenta and Something More, could you upload the ones from that demo?
