    I love the TWSBi GO, and hope they make more translucent colors!!!! I will buy a green (in addition to my current blue) and purple. I REALLY hope that they never make one where the barrell is not translucent. Being able to see the spring / mechanism is a strong plus to me.

      I kinda hope they make a solid barrel, as it might be more approachable for some people, but I don't know that I'd buy one.

    Thanks for doing the video! I love my TWSBI Go. I am waiting for them to come out with a pocket clip version to buy some more. I enjoy the fact that it is relatively easy to change inks in it.

    This is a fun pen to clean. After a few plunges to clear out the residual ink, it's time to take it outside with a cup of water and see how far you can squirt the water. LOL!

    I have a Go with a Medium nib, which writes very smoothly.
    The hole , in the cap, is a shade small for a lanyard, but I threaded string OK.
    I could not see the engraved nib-size - it was probably hidden in the grip, just below the TWSBI marking.
    But comparing the nib point with my TWSBI mini Fine, I am sure that it is Medium.
    It is hard this fault this pen, which costs just under £20 in England.
    I did find that the plunger filler needed practice when filling from a large Seitz-Kreuznach bottle.
    But then, as is the case for just about every pen , I think filling is easiest from the good old Parker Quink bottle-shape.
    Thanks for your fair review.

      Yeah, it’s pretty easy to blow bubbles in your ink bottle if you’re not careful, and the deep SK bottles would be a challenge.

    Good review, Mike. Nice nail polish too! 😂

      Heh, thanks! I forgot that I had it on until I was filming. :-)

      @@inkdependence nevertheless, I like your reviews. Big thumbs up (not really big, my thumbs are quite small)! 😂

    I prefer this to the Eco! Far more rugged and the filling mechanism perfect for a "get it done" pen.

    Regarding the fit on that cap: I had some ink that wasn't reacting well in the pen and was leaving blotches or not running through the nib at all (don't think that was this pens fault at all) so I took the pen home from work to give it a good clean and fill it with different ink. When I got home from a 30 minute ride, I had a problem. ALL the ink had run from the nib and into the cap--again, pretty sure that's not this pen's fault. Not one DROP had spilled in my bag though. It was all safely contained in that cap! So I can definitely attest to the sealing on this cap.

    I think the twsbi go is a more of a intermediate pen as the pen is a little harder to write with compared to the pilot metrapoliton plat preppy pilot petit and the muji fp
    This info was gathered by passing a student that has never used a fountain pen in their life and when he used the twsbi go it kept on skipping

    i remember when they teased some solid barrel versions of the Go and I think it looks way nicer

    • @inkdependence
      @inkdependence  4 года назад

      It def looks more presentable with a solid barrel. Loses some of the weirdo charm, though, I think.

    One of my more favorite light-weight pens; and really fun to fill and use. My only legitimate gripe is that it, when capping, it is too easy to run the nib in between the cap liner and the cap itself. I cannot think of another pen that requires that much care when capping. Maybe the liner is thicker than others?

    • @inkdependence
      @inkdependence  4 года назад +2

      Oh, it could be. I haven’t had that problem, actually, but I could see how it would happen if you guide the nib along the side of the inside of the cap.

      Huh, haven't had that problem with the two I have. But it is possible with the design.

    My first Go is waiting at my parent’s house. I forgot to change the shipping address to my own place. Oops! Delayed gratification.

      Ha! At least you sent it to a place where there are people you know. I accidentally sent a computer mouse to an address where I used to live one time.

    So the Twsbi Go is great - I like it also and got my own. But why buy an 200$ pen i 2021? I got myself several expensive pens, and they are not better than some of my Twsbi. Some won't start and some are scratchy...

    Is this a new camera? Looks soo shiny ...

    • @inkdependence
      @inkdependence  4 года назад

      Nope. Same old camera. Too shiny? I sometimes find it hard to get enough light and also keep the glare down, even with diffusion. Inks are so much easier to light than pens.

    I like plungerie. But I just don’t like the look of TWSBI, good writer everyone says, it’s just uggs.

      Those people ate FOOLS. Its a beautiful pen (although Go is basically the cheapest version so the plastic may be unattractive)

  • @sailcat9

    Pros: Inexpensive, works well, nice filling system, holds a decent amount of ink, smooth nib, sturdy and durable
    Cons: clunky, awkward, unattractive
    Verdict: a good, all-around pen. I prefer the ECO, though. but still well worth having
