I actually heard this yesterday for the first time. I feel like a douche because I had never heard it before, and it's been so popular.

What are kN notes. Been over 20 years since i played and just this week i found my sax in my parents attic. I thought it was ruined in the house fire of over 20 yrs ago. The case really protected it. There are 2 new reeds in their in perfect condition. Will my pads be ok..they look ok. Have yet to play..afraid of mildew and dust bur like i said...protected beyond my wildest dreams. If i want to brush up and then learn to play notes i never knew existed. If you check out jimmy sax on youtube you will be simply ultimately awakened. I WANT to play like him but create more genre. He uses same beat just about for all songs. Does anyone know gim and how can i get wickedly great fast. I was a gifted improviser more than established note reader. I can read music but hard stuffs here lies the issue...practicing. i use to get bored as a kid during my lessons in school. How or where can i go on youtube or anywhere where learning is easy easy eadsy and fun? Same goes for guitar, drums , piano, harmonica and playing guitar tapping style. If you don't know what I mean by playing the guitar popping style check it out on RUclips I don't know what it's officially called but it is incredible

I was an only female sax player too :p It's pretty rad especially when the teacher says you're playing better than the guys. I played alto for only one semester and tenor for the rest of middle school. The guys played tenor/baritone for 2 semesters xD Girls can do anything guys can, and the sax is not a male instrument :)

You inspired me a couple of years ago with your pure and clear sound, I tried to play the same way and the same kind of tracks. However I couldn't play the exactly right tunes like you can. But now I tried something that's more my own thing; making sax edits of deep house and lounge tracks. Although its a whole different kind of sax playing, it all started with this song.

I know all of the Saxophones im saying if you can play one sax, you know how to play them all.
Tristan Crosby Um... no. If you know how to "play" one saxophone - you don't know all of them. Knowing how to play one saxophone does not mean you know how to play all of them. You only know the "fingerings." Secondly, most saxophone players can't even master the embouchure! They can't keep their vowel sounds, and they have a tendency to play bright (and I don't mean the jazz kind of "bright..."). lol I bet if you go from an Alto to a Baritone (and even from a Tenor to a Baritone), you'd most likely either squeak or gust air. lol Playing Soprano requires a much higher level of skill to "play well." Mastering a saxophone requires years of practice (and that's only one).
***** All saxophones occupy different embouchure. Some bigger than others, not to mention vowel sound - which is an "O" shape for all saxophones. Because each saxophone is manufactured differently - all the subtleties, such as: note sounds and volume in contrast to one another vary depending on the player. Embouchure is another big thing. Where you place your tongue is crucial - keeping your tongue in contact with both molars in the back is essential to create faster air speed. This enables for a broader range of notes and tone quality. Practicing over-tones enables the lower and higher ranges of the saxophone. But we're only talking about one saxophone. Each saxophone is different - you can learn these differences as you go from one to the other as you gain enough knowledge and experience (e.g. practicing lower notes, nuances, etc.) Not to mention styles - that's a whole other story. There is so much to know about one saxophone before you know about the others, just because of the nature of the type of saxophone.
Well you seem to be quite the expert then. Im not sure why you think everyone is wrong because of your dumb embouchure ideas. Going from one saxophone to another isn't as difficult as you have made it seem. From playing Bari, Tenor, and Soprano in a musical pit it was fairly easy to transition from one to another with excellent tone. I'm sure if you want to be so decisive about where your tongue should be when playing sax you are working too hard. Everybody has a different style of playing and varies from one to another but its not that big of a deal.

A lot of editing, and playing with the most trebly sound you possibly can. Also, dont forget to lose all of the fundamentals that you might have learned at one point. These videos are very misleading. A saxophone doesnt sound like that, nor should it sound like an echoed slice of metal. Tune your saxes and it will sound so much better! Do some long tones and get that wobbly sound out of here. I like what you're doing, dont get me wrong. Im only trying to help you improve! :)

Steven Zhao We understand that, but even with all the editing and effects - any saxophone player with a great understanding of the instrument knows that he lacks fundamentals - not to mention, intonation, nuances, balance, control, embouchure, articulation, technique and the list goes on and on. (really, it does go on and on)
