okay but what happens when your model isnt symetrical? i'l have to retopo everything wthout symetry?
Always 'start' with a symmetrical retopo, because in production the riggers like to have a version that is perfectly symmetrical for rigging purposes. From there, it's easy to manually retopo the asymmetrical feature. Unless you are doing some kind of zombie figure with multiple limbs, like 95% of most characters and creatures are symmetrical.
@@MANIAKRA this makes sence!! but i think my character is close to a zombie right now hahah. I made a pirate full of different scars and features... anyways, thank you maniakra.
You have to uncheck global symmetry first.
