Just like Mall Of America! It looks like a really beautiful mall! This one was probably my favorite mall video. Very nice inside with the theme park, water park and the candy-sculped Statue Of Liberty! And prayers for your friend Mark. Lord, heal Mark and make him well again. Amen. 🙏🙏🙏
Congrats ! And .. you can blabber all you want ! Kayla too ! While I live in northern NJ, I haven't visited AD .. yet .. I sheepishly admit that I'm against having to pay for parking, even if it's $5 .. lol !
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉👏👏 on 50,000!! I've been with you since you had 200 subscribers. I really needed a good video so I could chill out tonight. Dealing with a cat being forced to stay inside since he's wearing the cone of shame is getting on my nerves.
Congrats Wallie for hitting the 50k milestone. I can't wait to see you reach 100k and get that silver plaque. I hope you and Kayla have a good day and stay awesome!
Thank you! I hope one day I can make it that far but if I don't, no biggie. I'm just grateful to be where I am. Glad you enjoy the videos I've put out all these years.
WOW!!! This place seems doomed to fail. They definitely went to big to fast. And congratulations on the 50k. It's been a pleasure to be a part of the channel and your life. Onward to 100k.
That fountain area you highlight around the 8:41-mark kinda reminds me of how Monroeville Mall looked like originally with all the plants, ponds, and fountains as well.
Congratulations on 50K! Thank you for all of the great content! I live in NJ and have never been to American Dream. It was such a bad move. If you ever come back through NJ, I have a dead mall for you (or becoming one) - the Bridgewater Commons in Bridgewater, NJ. It's a shadow of the great mall it used to be. If you want a fancier mall to visit, The Mall at Short Hills is good for that. It's a mix of stores such as Chanel and Vuitton as well as more mainline stores.
Yeesh... Sometimes you CAN put too much stuff into one place. The Mall of America seems to be suffering from the same issues as this mall, but not as big.
wow wallie 50 k followers I'm sorry about your friend mark I hope he gets well thanks for sharing I remember when you had 2 k followers congratulations stay awsome
Wallie, loved this video. I know these are hard videos to make, but I so much love hearing your opinions on these things as you go so many places and know the histories. I can say enough how much I love these and how they just make me feel good. thanks for all you and Kayla do. Can't wait for more OBX videos.
Good video wallie . It sucks to see it happen I've been failing the mall for years and hope to see it make it . Keep up the good work on the video's I try to watch them all . From Chillicothe Ohio
Wow another great video. Thanks for the extensive history..I do have cousins in NJ.Thanks so much and yes I cannot wait for your Christmas vids in future God Bless Dave from Cape Cod
Hi Wallie. This was a great video and I wanted to leave some thoughts here in the comments about it. 1. It's a shame this mall is considered a financial failure. Maybe all it needs are some more stores/attractions to drive attention? Or maybe if it wasn't so large there wouldn't be so many empty tenants. 2. I didn't realize that the 2 story flagship ToysRUs was in this mall. I knew it was in New Jersey but I didn't know it was in the same building as a water park, theme park, and an indoor ski resort. 3. Congrats on 50k Subscribers. That's a huge milestone and I wish you luck on reaching 100k. Lastly I want to send my well wishes to your friend Mark. As someone who knew someone who also had health issues I can tell you two are probably going through a lot right now but I know you can overcome those hardships together. Please stay safe and take care of yourselves during this time and best of luck to Mark.
In NYC. One of who knows if it's a couple of million people without a car not going here due to poor transit. And the Jerseyites have to brave traffic and pay for parking. NY Metro region does not IMHO and almost obviously, have the infrastructure to get the necessary amount of people here for it to succeed. Finally, as others mentioned, the Blue Laws! Hubris.
Hi there you did a spectacular job on this video. It was huge and I saw a video right before yours on the small the video did not compare anything to what your tutorial was. I appreciate what you did and dumb. It’s a shame that a pregnant mom was hardly feeling it’s very sad. It’s December 1 so I wanna wish you and Kayla happy and merry Christmas and a good new year and I’ll catch up with you soon. Thank you for doing the video.
Shocking to compare that Nickelodeon Universe to the one at Mall of America near Minneapolis. MOA looks and feels like an outdoor amusement park with lots of landscaping and tons of natural light. This one looks like someone just put a few roller coasters inside a warehouse.
It seems that Vaughan Mills, near Toronto, Ontario is about the only success they had in the 2000s, due in part to the fact that it was their first expansion into Canada and also has the first and for a while, only Bass Pro shop outside the US.
I went on a Sunday when there was a Giants game and the mall was actually fairly crowded. Maybe the owners are starting to get their shit together? Anyway, some thoughts: Dream Wheel: It was a windy day and the gondola was rocking like crazy. Felt pretty unnerving and got off feeling a little queasy. Blast: Cool little cross between a shoot-‘em-up video game and a motion simulator, but wasn’t a fan of the way the seats jolt you around. Nick Universe: Shellraiser was closed despite not being listed as closed on the website x_x SeaLife: Actually pretty funny! Didn’t go to the water park because it was too expensive. Hear the slides are really good, but I’d be surprised if the overall experience topped Great Wolf Lodge or Kalahari.
Very good video I live on the border of Chester County and Lancaster County in pa we are probably about 2 hours away from that mall from where I live at
As a local to the area this isn’t something we utilize. Each park at the mall is super expensive and not worth it. Further the mall is widely underwhelming and overall… it’s just doesn’t justify the cost
Firs time I went to this mall, it was on a Sunday, right before Christmas. Their website didn't mention that it was illegal to operate a retail store in that jurisdiction on a Sunday. It said all stores were open the same hours as the mall. It was a bald-faced lie. I went back a little over a year later and wow, was this mall pathetic. A giant building with nothing in it, like the time Spirit Halloween had opened in a former Bon Ton and just roped off 80% of the store's retail place. The only thing this mall had going for it was an admittedly tasty Filipino fried chicken restaurant. It felt more like an airport than a mall. The complex could have been a quarter of its size and still would have felt empty. It brings up an interesting question, though. Who in the bluest of f***s would open a record-setting mall in a jurisdiction with a Sunday law?! It was a waste of six billion dollars, enough money to build houses for 50,000 homeless families, repair countless bridges, or save tens of thousands of domenstic abuse victims, and this is what they blew the money on.
Was this Filipino fried chicken place called Jollibee? That description, makes me think you went to one. If so, I liked the one time I went to one myself. Someday, I'll revisit a Jollibee.
This place is simply too large and yes a waste of natural resources. If it were say 1/3 of it's size it would work well, but as it is now they may need to plan on splitting the mall in the future. Shame cause that fountain area is beautiful and I do like how the aesthetic of this place fits the 2020s but I dunno.
As a twin cities resident One thing noticed Exterior of mall is blah compared MOA Approach uninviting Compared to moa Location seems plucked into middle of nowhere
Sunday = Blue Laws in Bergen County, NJ. Most of us locals go to the Garden State Plaza, Bergen Towne Center or Paramus Park Mall.
Yeah AD blows.
Just like Mall Of America! It looks like a really beautiful mall!

Too, not to.
When they were builing it I called it ZANA DONT!

38:08 - I believe this is the entrance to that indoor ski-slope, hence the name "Big Snow."
Hope you get well soon, Mark:) xo
This and the Mall of America are clearly more for tourists than locals.
Great job and great video!
happy 50k walliie i subbed to you when you had 8k suubs
Watching from scrap to the finished really amaze me how much fund they have input.
Congratulations on 50,000.

Can’t miss the new upload from our lord and savior
Also, it's practically NYC... if people get in your way, just push them and say "move it". Walk like they drive.

Nice 😃
Look at the front! Where it says "fail" real big!

Hey Congrats On 50K Subscribers Wallie, Your Videos Are Absolutely Awesome Man, Keep up the Amazing work Dude!
Blue laws in bergen county force a lot of stores to close on sundays
was so curious how this place was doing and poof this appeared.... thanks for the info

Pretty much describes the aesthetic of the entire place.
Goodvideo you guys deserved 50k subs.

If its Sunday they're closed. Some old law where they can't operate Sunday. "Blue Laws"
you did this on my birthday
The problem is there are not enough stores available to fill the place and many stores won't go there due to blue laws.
Mega mall🇺🇸🗽

Why does almost everyone have strollers?😂
I like the video.
American fucking NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!
I worked here with union in its last 2 yrs of making and opening and this place is a money pit a money laundering dream lol
It probably gonna take a lot more than a new Toys R Us store or a real MrBeast Burger location for the mall to fully get up.
👍
As a twin cities resident
One thing noticed
Exterior of mall is blah compared MOA
Approach uninviting
Compared to moa
Location seems plucked into middle of nowhere
Comparison
More linear. End to end flow vs.
Moa with circular, rectangular flow
🙏
This mall is a no go for me, a total overstimulation, within minutes I would have a headache.
Is this mall has MrBeast Burger restaurant?
Yes
Looks like a very trashy group of people walking around no one’s carrying any shopping bags😮SAD
Pepsi got MOA
Coca cola American dream 🤔
It's easy tp get there so the people arond there arent th nicest
