Nah, you can't break it. UO already has Casual mode for people who just want to see where the story goes. And you can freely switch the difficulty too. Even on Expert mode you can kill a lvl 16 squad with your lvl 7~8ish squad. Levels don't matter as much as knowing the mechanics. For people who don't particularly enjoy learning the system, again, just go casual where you can simply mash buttons and win. It is an option developers put in, so that's totally legit. In essence, infinite xp is nice and all, but you don't even need it to absolutely breeze through the game. Even on Expert. Once you start understanding how things work, it gets surprisingly easy.
@@mathrick9442 On the time limit yes. but not on the demo. The demo blocked a few lv 40 battles in the center. after you beat one of them they unlock the final battle. The same is for the bridges. there are 2 bridges who need 30 stone and one of 2 charakters in party to repair the bridge. after one repair you have also acces to final battle. Charaktes and matials can all be accres in demo. even it is a little harder do so so in the time limit. but so you could only get one of the ending of the games. for the other ending you need to do the other continets.
I've never experienced so much playability out of 1 demo in my super long history of gaming. Only on my 2nd atm but definitely going to give this one a try later.
I did my first play through without any spoilers just by myself and had a wonderful experience leaving me wanting more. Now that I'm done ,now seeing all these videos and tbh in my first play through I discovered a lot but I really want to experiment with classes and definitely didn't get to do 4man squads. So cheers thanks for the tips.
quick note that catapult, unlike ballista, does not continue firing automatically after the previous shot, so no need to move units on and off it (though i forget if it notifies you if a shot is readied)
I don't find a need to exp farm because 1 treatises trivialised lvling until you reach lvl 30. 2 you're going to be farming honour and renown anyway. 3 lots of runs means you gain resources from stationed units and gold from every run Its actually benefitial to just brute force and steam roll runs to beef up your campaign units like Alain and flying units. So you can breeze through liberations and main and side quests.
I still cant figure out how to get there. Its not square on map. Maybe thats how they oatched this in release. Any button i oress on map none allow me to go where u havent been
This area is like FE-style skirmish, you not only get EXP for such auxiliary battle but EXP book for even more EXP, I learnt that from the good old Josef's guide
For guides like this one, I feel like the title should include demo or early in some capacity. Otherwise people are going to be looking up guides a while after the full release and could end up getting dated information.
These aux battles have definitely been great for grinding - primarily for the Treatises though, so you want to move up to the next one ASAP. The first sigil where you get Selvie is ok to get some characters to lv 11, but the second one - the one shown in the vid here - is much better at getting everyone to 21, as you're looking at 900 exp per Treatise vs 150 exp for the first tier version. I believe the earliest tier 3 sigil (advanced) you can do is the one in Elheim, located near Hildi (you can access it after doing the Wood and Water main quest). Those Treatises can get you up to 31 comfortably, giving 3000 exp (as opposed to the 900 from the tier 2 sigil quest). **Edit: in regards to the below paragraph, GloriousGEO pointed out to me in a reply, there are tier 4 sigil quests offering tier 4 treatises that work well up to level 41, and hten a tier 5 quest that offers the final tier 5 treatise - so you can indeed use the sigil quests to get your characters all the way up to 50. Darn the inaccurate GameRant article I had been using as reference! 😋 The problem I foresee is after that, there's no higher tier sigil or repeatable quest - highest sigil quest has level 29 enemies, so can probably get you up to about 32 or 33, fairly slowly. You could still potentially use Treatises, but they drop to 1000 exp after 30, so obv a lot slower at that point. Just a bit of a shame - would have liked there to be a way to grind all my characters to max (50 I believe) efficiently, but looks like the ability to grind drops off a cliff after 31.
@@GloriousGEO Oh damn, you're right! I had the GameRant article open for their locations, and it seems woefully out of date. Doesn't even mention that there are tier 4 trials offering tier 4 Treatises that offer 9k exp up to level 41, and then the tier 5 one you mentioned offering 10k exp. That makes me quite glad. 😀 No characters left behind! 🤣
@@GloriousGEO Omg, this is insane. So after looking at it more and finding out that the final quest that rewards tier 5/supreme treatises is located near Sorm - and that Sorm is accessible pretty early on, only blockaded by a lv ~38 liberation quest - I threw my now lv 31 strike force squadron at it, and sure enough was able to get through it. They were also able to squeak through both versions of the sigil quest (and do so often enough until they were high enough level to flat out do it solo), so now instead of getting 5x 3k exp books as a reward, I'm getting 5x 10k exp with no expiration. 🤣 For anyone that's interested in the most efficient grinding in this game with this all in mind, this is my suggestion - get through Cornia as quickly as possible, and go to Elheim. Get through the O'er Wood and Water quest as quickly as possible, in order to gain access to the first advanced (tier 3) sigil quest near Hildi. Grind on that until you have a unit/team strong enough to liberate Sorm (I believe it's a lv 38 mission, but it's a liberate mission so pretty easy). After that, you'll have access to the tier 5 sigil quest which is the best grinding in the game; do what you need to do in order to get the tier 5 on farm status.

@@GloriousGEO Some of us do like getting OP, and smacking enemies around on the highest difficulty. Some say it ruins the experience, but in all honesty, this is a strategy ROLE PLAYING game, emphasis on the all caps.
