  • As protesters take over U.S. college campuses to demonstrate against Israel's actions in Gaza, universities must make it a priority to keep students safe, Geraldo Rivera tells "Dan Abrams Live." Rivera says that this is the first time Gen Z’ers are doing something that does not concern themselves, but adds that they must take responsibility for their actions if they are arrested. "This is not George Floyd, this is not Rodney King," Rivera said.

There is a difference between legally protected protests AND illegally hijacking a road, building, or campus. Public health and public safety MUSTl take precedence. Causing HARM is not legally protected. Legal protests require permission - may be a permit, may be a contract with a land or property owner. Independently altering land use to suit one's desires without permission is NOT legal. That is illegal trespass. Turning part of an University campus into a campground is not legal. I view such efforts as demonstrating a laziness on the part of the protesters. Legitimate protesters in the USA do not hide their identity behind the very scarves used by Islamic terrorists for decades to conceal their identities to avoid accountability for crimes (crimes against humanity!). And these particular camp parties are literally sitting targets for actual terrorists (who don't care about human life). Terrorists have a historical resume of using just such a target to SHOCK and cause harm and throw community/state/nation into chaos. It is precisely why Islamic terrorists have been deported and expelled from their Arab neighbors. We have the framework and the laws to nip crime - it is always a matter of if those in authority will do their jobs and protect and defend this country. When does a protest go from trespass to insurrection? Insurrection definition includes "anyone who incites violence against our GOVT". By word ( Death to America) and deed (burning the US flag) demonstrates it imo. There are videos from these campuses where the line was crossed imo. Arrests, prison time and deportations need to happen. When any one incites violence against a person or group of people inside our country (Jews for example) it is a HATE CRIME. Creating a group to do it can't ever be considered a legitimate protest.

I am sure they picked this time of the year because they wanted to disrupt graduation and make families feel the burn.

I think they should have the right to protest, but they took it too far. What truly turned me against them was when I heard them calling themselves hamas.

You have to understand something here. There ARE members of Hamas in the protest And Leading the Protest. Look at the photos of the protest- look at the camp sites. The tents are all identical, the signs, the equipment, Hell even the clothings is identical-WHY? Because it is bing sponsored by Hamas and other Pro Palestine organizations! Currently there are OVER TWO HUNDRED Demonstrations being held across the U.S. Check out all the Equipment! This is coordinated and Millions being poured into it. Those are PROFESSIONAL DEMONSTRATORS LEADING THOSE WITH NETWORKS OF Bail bonds and lawyers on call if they get arrested . This is not a simple demonstration, it is a coordinated effort to stop support for Israel And advance the Muslim cause and Religion.

But if your protesting stops or hinders another from exercising their rights, you are no longer legally protesting.

@@miked2090 That doesn't make any sense. No one else has lost their rights, because of a protest.

@@miked2090 Being offended is a feeling, you don't have a right to never be offended. None of us would have any rights, if we lost them. When someone else feels offended. The civil rights and women's rights protests, shut down roads and public transportation. It's how they gained the support and attention. Neither of those groups would have rights, if you could have stopped them. When someone felt inconvenienced.

I didn't say that anybody has lost any rights. I'm saying that because these protests have caused the closing of some schools, then the right of the non-protesting student's pursuit of happiness has been affected. I'm sorry if that doesn't make any sense to you.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” - George Santayana
1960-1985. "The FBI, the federal law enforcement agency responsible for preventing and investigating terrorist incidents, made slow progress against violent political extremism. The Watergate scandal, and revelations about intelligence community activities directed against U.S. citizens, led to significant restrictions on domestic security investigations. In a political climate hostile to domestic “snooping,” the FBI feared that greater involvement in countering terrorists would lead to further accusations that the bureau was engaged in “political policing.” However, this climate changed during the late 1970s. Coming into office in 1981, President Reagan emphasized the threat posed by domestic and international terrorists, depicting them as the Soviet Union’s proxy forces in its global struggle against the West. The bureau’s budget grew, investigative guidelines were eased, and the FBI began building a counterterrorism intelligence base"..."By 1985, the cycle of terrorism that began in the late 1960s had drawn to a close". W. Rosenau, The “First War on Terrorism?” U.S. Domestic Counterterrorism During the 1970s and Early 1980s.
