    Still insanely jealous of that Golden Eagle III. I also don't think I've ever seen a successful rubber powered helicopter. You guys look like you're having a great time!

    Fantastic models and images! You make free flight look easy, but it isn't, it is really hard to get those models to fly as well as they do! Thank you for sharing!

    Thank you for sharing this video I thoroughly enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed your beautiful Golden Eagle III, the co2 planes are a feat of engineering, that is a great flying rubber powered helicopter and all your scale models actually fly very well. Thank you all for bringing your fine workmanship to the airfield and sharing it with the rest of us.

    Thanks for the video! Nice meeting, with beautiful models. It's a pity that the Morane 406 flew so shortly... I saw it (a real-scale one) in the Dubendorf museum. But the scene in 2:35 is amazing: two guys discuss and a curious robo-bird comes to see what's up. The future is now :)

      Thank you for your comment! These ornithopters also leave a lasting impression acoustically....but are really 'low-tech' with rubber power.

    Is that biplane a Brücker Jungmann? It's beautifully detailed! Thanks for sharing the video.

    I don't understand why the models came down so quickly in the wind. They still would have lift, maybe too much in fact.
    I liked seeing them though.

    • @rubberfly
      @rubberfly  Год назад

      I think that the angle is much more difficult to estimate when launching against the wind. Two degrees too much up and the nose turns up....

      That looks more like steam, probably a powerplant.

    How did you all get to Switzerland?

    • @rubberfly
      @rubberfly  2 года назад +1

      You can hear 'Schwiizertütsch' in the video. We live there or in the neighbouring 'foreign country'. Nobody has more than 2 hours by car. The density of rubber motor enthusiasts may be greater here than in faraway America!

    Co2 planes are bad for the environment and should be outlawed.

      Should we really stop drinking carbonated water? It is the same cartridge to fill these engines...
