They didn't have the shops, when I lived there. I remember a movie theater they used to have , and a gym, near the library.

I live just outside of Leesburg near Okahumpka in Arlington Ridge Golf Community. Great video! As Always, May God Bless you and yours!

@Rabbi Kikenstein Sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question. I guess you could look up synagogues in Leesburg, Florida or Lake County Florida and contact a Rabbi there.
As Always, May God Bless you and yours!

Tractor museum has closed Oct 2022. All equipment was auctioned off. Sad. It was a great collection.

Cliff, you brought me down. We plan to be moving to Florida in a few months and am considering Leesburg. I was really looking forward to the tractor fair. Hope not too much else has changed. It looks like a great place to retire. Any information would be helpful.
      How are allergies?
      Thanks

Sadly back in the late 70s and early 80s Lake Griffin and Lake Harris were great skiing and swimming lakes that they warn you at your own risk now to use. But remember alligators are endangered, nevermind every lake in lake county is infested with them they are still endangered.🤪

Leesburg has changed a lot over the years. They ruined Venetian Gardens, now a private restaurant owns that one island in the park anyone used to be able to walk on. They are selling out all the land to developers for the Villages. I've lived here since the summer of 79 This used to be a nice quaint little area but things have changed a lot

Really not sure what you are referring too about the island . Ski beach maybe? There are multiple islands but no restaurants on them.

It's suck thati have to from miami to one of these small towns because I can't afford a house right here in dade born and raised wish people would just stop moving here and stop making unaffordable for the people that where born in the state very depressing

It's the greedy politicians that people elect both democrats and Republicans that allow these corporations and investors to buy land and to force locals out. It starts at the government level. They are all corrupt. They don't give a dam about common people. But you got die hard dumb ass people that will still vote republican or democratic because they always have regardless of doing their research to find out a candidates history. So when these corrupt jackasses get I to power they take bribes they look the other way and they let corporations do what they want. Look what happen to the man in coral gables that didn't want to sell his parents house where he lives. They built a high rise hotel around his house literally.what did the city commission do ???
