@@thealtemlife If you have not been Oh Shucks in Wildwood has pretty good seafood, but don't let the exterior or interior fool you. We like to go there for fish and chips at the bar as that reminds us of a place we used to frequent in R.I. Also, the Seafood Shack in the Winn Dixie plaza in Leesburg is owned by a former R.I. native and they have very good New England clam "chowdah" and clam cakes which clam cakes are a delicacy in R.I. and southeastern MA.
Was born in Leesburg, Florida. Moved in 1963. Downtown wasn't anything like that back then. Wish they would build up Downtown Wildwood, Florida like they did the Village!!!.😮. Some people's been there all of there life and nothing has changed for them!!!😮.
What a neat college town. Not far from The Villages and good to know about the restaurant choices. I have heard but cannot remember the name of the place but relatives rave about a donut shop in Leesburg.
Great to see some Missouri folks! Anyways, sorry y’all had to see Leesburg, most of that downtown is a dump and most of the people are pretty sketchy, as most of the city of Leesburg is dumpy as a local I would know lol but your videos are great I hope you keep it up they’re awesome!
It seems nice and clean. No homeless camps. What do you think of The Plantation? We are fleeing The Glorious Peoples State of Taxifornia for Florida in about 6 months.
I've been interested in learning more about Leesburg, was happy to see your tour pop up. It looks like a sweet little Main St USA type of place, but I've heard that it can be a little sketchy. What's your opinion? Looks like a lot of good restaurants.
Oh that was good timing then! Yeah it does seem like a little Main St USA! As for as the downtown, it was sketchy at all. However, we have been down other streets in Leesburg that are sketchy. It has its good parts and it’s bad parts. Just stay in the better areas and it won’t be sketchy lol!
imagine leesburg was established in 1857. There was no air conditioning. I don't know how people could live there during the summer. The Tropic looks like a strip club lol
Wow that is insane! The heat would be rough back then. Wonder what it looked like. Haha at first, that is what we were thinking so we were kind of scared to show it at first 😂
Well done. Also listed as safest place to live away from Hurricane prone areas.
Good to know! Thank you!
Donut King in Leesburg is a must do stop for us.
We will have to try it for sure!
Agreed. As a current freshman for college
I have had lunch at Brick and Barrel many times, always very good!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! Is it the same as the one in Eustis?
Thanks for the great tour.
You are welcome!
What a nice spot to walk around, great video thanks
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the tour
You are welcome!
I live in Inverness and go there just for the library. I love it.
Oh wow! We will have to go to their library for sure then. Thanks for sharing!
Great tour...very informative 👏
Thank you!
Thanks for the tour! We have been in the villages only about 15 minutes from Leesburg and never ventured downtown there. Might be some fun exploring.
Oh wow you are close! It’s worth going down there and walking around. Seems like they have some good restaurant choices!
There is a pretty famous pizza and hot dog restaurant. Chicago pizza and brewery. And the owner is from Chicago.
Oh wow! Didn’t know that! We will have to go try that out. Thank you!
Isnt it closed?
Love the Magnolia Oyster Bar in Leesburg
We will have to try it! We have never been but sounds good!
Great tour! Thank you!
You are welcome! Thanks for watching!
Nice tour! We live in the south end of The Villages not far from Leesburg and visit the town fairly often.
Awesome! Thanks for watching! Any places we should try?

Found it interesting the college helps folks with Dyslexia and ADD.
Oh wow! That’s cool!
I prefer Hallandale beach Florida beautiful city good beaches and restaurants and growing businesses and communities, and good night life.☀️
I am going to beacon college in the summer
Oh sweet! Lots to do around that area. We hope you enjoy it!
Definitely heading to Prime 3 next time we are in town. Thank you! 👍🇺🇸
Oh sweet! Let us know what it is like! Unless we beat you to it 😂
Beacon College saved down town Leesburg, which became half or more of downtown Leesburgs economy.
Glad that Leesburg didn’t lose its downtown!
We ate at Brick and Barrel. It was very good!!!!!
Awesome! Was it different than Eustis?
Haven't been to Eustis so don't know about that.
Come back next April for Bikefest. 😏
We will have to do that! Heard it gets pretty crazy!
@@thealtemlifeIk I am going to that this year
Thank you

Thanks for the tour. We walked Main St last fall. Not very interesting. More vacant bldg than I expected,
They are trying to revitalize it and make it cute like Mt. Dora. Recently put a lot of money in clean up and landscaping.
Good point! We did think they had some good looking restaurants!
Oh good info! Thanks for sharing!

Dip-a-Dee Donuts and Donut King

Hello! We have not been there yet so we will have to check that out for you! Where do you want to move to?
