Anna, as a young home chef who never made the pro jump in culinary arts, you are such an inspiration. Your foods, your bakes, your obvious love and passion for cooking, but also (as a former educator myself) you have a really great energy for teaching people to cook, and with patience and love. So wonderful, and I'm so glad to have access to your video tutorials. You rock! Stay awesome!
Watched many of your videos but this one I love. Not only the recipe but you look like you actually had fun making these wings. Hilarious how in the middle of your demonstration your head falls back and you comment on how you love the smell. Ty for all your hard work.
I agree, watched five videos prior and they were vague and confusing. Saved this, trying to tonight. The added Blu cheese recipe is the best part. That can ruin your wings when it's garbage dressing.
Thank you Anna for sharing your delicious recipes! I feel so happy to see you on RUclips! I loved watching Sugar! I missed that show! I feel excited and inspired to cook or bake trying your recipes! You make it so fun and creative! I can't wait to make your sticky toffee pudding and this dish!
I won’t be leery about what you say ever again! I did make these tonight when you reassured me on your live chat today that the cooking time was as you stated and cooked my wings for 80 minutes. Thought they’d be dried out but they were lovely. Will be doing your English muffins next. Tried other recipes but never happy with results. Yours looked like the real deal!
Vielen Dank für dieses grandiose Rezept. Es gab diese chicken wings heute zu unserem Sylvester Essen zusammen mit chicken Nuggets und spareribs. Soooooo mega lecker👍👍👍👍. Happy new year to you and your family. Greatings from Germany, Iris. 🥂🍾🎊👋😊
Did these wings last week. Honestly have to say they were the best wings I ever made that I didn't have to marinate in Frank's hot sauce and Italian dressing for the better part of a week. And they rivalled those. Gonna make these again in a couple few days. Great. Thank you!
I tried oven baking wings in the past but they smoked up the kitchen. Now I used an air frier, problem solved. BTW, if you buy whole wings and do not cut or disconnect at all, essentially you only have one end open so the juices will not leak out the ends. The juices stay in the wings for a better wing.
To make your hot sauce, take your preferred hot sauce of choice and mix it with honey 50/50. 50% Hot sauce and 50% honey, use that as your ratio. I use Franks Extra Hot. Works really well. And if you want to really colour up your hot wings while baking, add half a teaspoon of paprika to your seasonings.
Skin Salt Mixture of 1 tablespoon fine sea salt with 1 teaspoon baking powder to marinate 3 lbs chicken flats/drumettes for 2 hours. Bake at 75 - 90 mins at 375 degree.
This is how I always used to make my wings too, but I got a pressure cooker recently and now that's what I use. you cook them in the pressure cooker, then pop them under the broiler for a couple of minutes to get crisp. It takes half time time and it's super tasty
Don't know if Wikipedia is correct that you live in Welland - but the BEST wings were from a (now closed) bar, J.J.'s Roadhouse. Another hotspot in the late 90's was the Daily Planet in Niagara Falls. Pizza Plus also had decent wings, and amazing pizza. Don't know what is still there - I moved away in 2007.
Thanks Anna for the tip for the wings!! I’m trying for sure, but we are not buffalo’s people,so instead of the hot sauce I will go for smoked paprika. I think they are gonna be awesome !!
I slice an onion and chop up a few potatoes and cook the wings on top of them. I don't have one of those wire racks. I take out the tips which I keep separate at half way through. I eat the wings then next day the potatoes, onion and tips all go into making soup. Chicken barley soup.
Great alternative to using a deep fryer. Very authentic.. Tip I learned working at a wing joint in upstate NY as a kid. If you like more intense heat!!! Zapm in the microwave for just about a a half to a minute or so. It allows the sauce to penetrate the chicken..
I saw something simple too which is use the same Baking powder but instead of just salt also add 2Tbsp of powdered chicken bouillion. It is crazy good. As far as sauces to shake, I found a Sweet Baby Rays Parmesean Garlic that is awesome.
Wonderful video with chicken wings ! And PERFECT that you have the recipe below! I'll test this tomorrow Thanks for a wonderful info on RUclips! Appreciate this locally.
Thank you for sharing. I just did this and it was amazingly good! I did my own hot sauce, but a slight variation on something I had done before. That part wasn't as good, but the wings were great on their own.
This is what I was looking for since long. I tried a couple of different recipes but didn't;t turn out good. But this looks a fool proof recipe. Thanks for sharing that.
A lot of chefs recommend putting the wings on the wire rack into the fridge, uncovered for several hours to further dry out the skin. How do you feel about this?
1. Will the Blue Cheese dip last about as long as the fresh date on the sour cream? 2. For a crisper skin bump up the heat to 400°F or higher and if you have a convection setting turn it on to dry out the skin faster.
Just saw this doesn't seen like one teaspoon can coat all those wings .Also how do you keep the house from filling with smoke? is that what the foil is for?
Finally after searching for years over 100 videos, this is the winner. Btw ... what makes fried chicken n wings unhealthy is the bad oils used especially vegetable oil. This recipe is 100% healthy according to the keto diet world, including the blue cheese dip and butter hot sauce and celery sticks. Off course never overdo a good thing.
Ok, third time i made these your way. nice and crispy----one issue--i used fine sea salt and the were a bit to salty-any remedies? Thank you-- also, with about 15 minutes to go, I paint my wing sauce on the wings and put back in the oven---when I pull them out I toss in my wing sauce, i like them crisp but also with a nice coating of sauce---I use Franks, butter and course black pepper, heat in a sauce pan, til butter is melted---outstanding sauce---nice crisp wings---I am from your area---wing country and these are the best wings I have had since leaving
I made them! And I turned them every 10 minutes. Let them cook for about 80m last 15 minutes I turned the heat up to 450 and they turned brown and crispy. They were the best wings I ever had and my husband approved! Will be making them a lot!! Thank you .
They do look amazing is there something else you could recommend other than hot sauce, I am frustratingly allergic to chilli, can't even go to a restaurant where they use chilli...

Dudes, the sauce and the Blu cheese ARE the seasoning and flavor. This is the most classic Buffalo style wing. If they're bland to you then you're not doing the sauces right. Goto any bar here in New York and order wings and this is precisely what you get with the exception they'll be deep fried.

I totally agree with you Mitch Kohl!

These are simply the best home made wings you can make! When do you love to eat chicken wings?
When you are buying and cooking them! LOL! J/K The wings were fantastic! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
I just discovered your channel! Thank you for creating videos like this! Thank you for sharing this to us! ♥
ANY TIME for me I LOVE WINGS😊
Why do chicken wings have hot sauce??
@@user-_-37470 Traditional Buffalo wings do, but you can use honey garlic sauce, a sweet bbq sauce, or even use no sauce. It's all up to you.
Love all the key tips along the way, especially spraying the cooling rack with cooking spray to keep the wings from sticking.
Best demonstration on RUclips-hands down!
I tried it, amazing recipe... Thanks.
Thank you! We are so happy you enjoyed it!
I agree, watched five videos prior and they were vague and confusing. Saved this, trying to tonight. The added Blu cheese recipe is the best part. That can ruin your wings when it's garbage dressing.

Thank you so much.
I can’t wait to try these! I am obsessed with chicken wings but I hardly ever eat them because they are fried. Now I have this baked option.

I made the wings this evening and they were by far the best I have had! Thanks Chef Anna Olson for this great recipe!

The drumstick is for amateurs! The flats the only way to go.
@@shmodzilla 😁
OMG! A must try for me. Thank you so much for sharing 😋
Looks really yummy. Thanks for sharing
Looks great will try this.
Thank you Anna.I always like your recipe.
A lot of chefs recommend putting the wings on the wire rack into the fridge, uncovered for several hours to further dry out the skin. How do you feel about this?
Anna,I am making those hot wings😋and I made blue cheese dip for my husband. Can’t wait to eat them 😋
Question, if you were to also add seasonings to the salt/baking powder mixture, would it still work? (Make the skin crispy?)
They look great.. My question is if I wanted them dry but wanted some black paper and some other spices on them when would I add them?
Literally never buying buffalo wings again. This recipe was perfect.
1. Will the Blue Cheese dip last about as long as the fresh date on the sour cream?
2. For a crisper skin bump up the heat to 400°F or higher and if you have a convection setting turn it on to dry out the skin faster.
Teaspoon of Smoked Paprika gives a new flavor but appearance. Nice tip on Bleu Cheese
Just saw this doesn't seen like one teaspoon can coat all those wings .Also how do you keep the house from filling with smoke? is that what the foil is for?

Right on point very simple recipe 👍👍
No chickens were harmed making this film.

gonna try this for my birthday party
Can you please tell me what kind of oven r u using? Is it deck oven or convection?
Can we boil the chicken wings and in the same time put in backing powder and salt . Thank you 🙏 😊
I tried this recipe, omg it’s yummmm!!!!😋😋
Te admiro muchísimo por todos tus conocimientos Feliz Dia
I’m not a big Buffalo Wing person, but those look tasty. Thinking I’ll give the chicken wings a try, but use a sticky sauce. Thanks again Anna!
Thanks for excellent recipe
You're welcome! I hope you try making them yourself!
Can I chill it overnight with the salt and baking powder? Or would that be too long?
Does the butter work with other sauces like Parmesan garlic or is it only best with hot wing sauce?
I love this recipe thank you
I love your channel and all your recipes
Thank you for the support!
Thanks for the recipe I’m going to try it.
What is oven setting and time if using convection oven?
Looks delicious and thanks for the baking soda tip. Can you add paprika to the mixture and bake them?
Berentha Crowder . Yes
You are an AWESOME lady. Thank you, so much!
Now this is what I call a non-guilty pleasure recipe!
I made them! And I turned them every 10 minutes. Let them cook for about 80m last 15 minutes I turned the heat up to 450 and they turned brown and crispy. They were the best wings I ever had and my husband approved! Will be making them a lot!! Thank you .
Her wings didn't look good at all.. frfr she don't even like them her face expression shows it 😂
serenitytc80 I made the sauce the same way she did!! But i used regular salted butter and they came out good.
Love the reaction to sauce smell lol, just subscribes
They do look amazing is there something else you could recommend other than hot sauce, I am frustratingly allergic to chilli, can't even go to a restaurant where they use chilli...
What is chilli?
interesting. I only have coarse koscher salt. Think that would work?

Chicken Wings for Christmas? I guess it makes sense for a pre-Christmas Party. Could I serve these as an app on Christmas day?
Why not? If your main course isn't centered around a bird then serving wings as an app makes total sense!
