WHEN I FIRST SAW HER DO THIS SONG IT WAS ON THE JOHNNY CARSON SHOW. I SAW HOW SHE WAS DRESSED I SHUT THE TV OFF THINKING SHE WAS ANOTHER TINY TIM NUT AND WENT TO SLEEP. THE NEXT TIME I SAW HER SHE WAS SINGING CRYING BY ROY ORBISON AND I SAID WHO THE HELL IS THAT. SHE DID IT IN THE MOST MOVING, DARE I SAY EVEN BETTER THAN ROY. I WAS ALWAYS CRAZY FOR HIM BUT I WAS IN AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP. I COULD NOT BEAR TO HEAR HIS MUSIC. K, D, LANG BROUGHT THE JOY BACK. THANK YOU!

I first heard kd lang and the reclines back in college in the eighties and was all in. Had no idea where she would go from there, but wow, she became an icon.

I saw the reclines in about 1982 in Kingston, Ontario. One of the best shows I've seen by anybody.... and I've seen a LOT of shows!😉

I would love to know what happened to the cute little girl dancing behind her toward the end of her song "Gravy." She had a short haircut, dangly earrings, white outfit (the skirt was long like kd's.) It looked like she was wearing cut-off boots. She was so cute and dancing her little heart out....good rhythm. Thanks for posting. Loretta Lynn has commented about country music dying. My thought is, "only one gal could fire it up again......kd lang." Maybe she will, wouldn't that be wonderful?
